I think that is why she won. That, plus Bramblin slow evolution plus Charcadet thingy confused Smallant enough.

Most of the bingo races I've seen are first to 13, but I've been watching Elden Ring bingo where you can win with 5 in a row too. It adds an interesting dynamic where the runners have to spend time getting squares to block their opponent, which gives their opponent time to work on other squares, so there's more strategy. It would have been really dramatic if Blooby won by bingo on the charcadet while Smant was stuck in his inventory.

@@Blooby you can just run in a small circle as well. Evolve it in like 3 minutes
@@Blooby Yep! As ITh4n4tosI said, you can sprint in a circle around the Bramblin to rack up steps really quick, since it counts YOUR steps rather than the Pokémon's steps, so long as it is out. Is surprisingly fast. Smant actually references this when he asks "You've been walking in circles, huh?" after you mark it off :)
@@Blooby you can also jump onto the roof of pokecenters with your mount and jump off but stay next to it, the pokemon following you will be stuck on the roof and walk in circles to get to you

Fun fact, Azurill has a 1/4 chance of swapping genders when it evolves into Marill. So it does exist, but unfortunately only for a tedious friendship evolution of a weak Pokemon.

@@featdirty1127 This gender change only occurs in gens 3 to 5, so is almost certainly a glitch. For some reason azurill has a 3/4 chance of being female, while its evolved forms are 1/2, which is the cause of the glitch.
Beauty Nova is a canonically trans trainer that you can battle. she basically says "a year ago I was a Karate King. The power of medical science is amazing" in japanese. in english it's more vague
For the record, Glimmet in Dazilapa are like set spawns around the Pokémon Center. I keep seeing them when I try to shiny hunt in there.

Opposite ends of the tspec here but if I transition half as well as Bloody did I’ll be happy for the rest of my life. From what I’ve heard fem-passing voice is reallllly hard to obtain and hers sounds so incredibly natural

@@TheMike0088 When someone's gender presentation is similar to what you aspire to be/have, hence you're envious of them. Usually used by trans people, as they tend to have more struggles with achieving a satisfactory gender presentation than cis people

My gf was playing Violet (her first Pokémon game ever) and literally the first non-scripted encounter she got was a shiny Tarountula. That's the only time I've seen a faster shiny than yours. Good grief, yours was insane.
RIGHT, I’ve gotten only one faster and that was a hoppip in my first Scarlet play through before even getting to the school - it was wild!!
For the record on specifically glimmet, I was so focused on getting one because I was so curious what this new pokemon in the minimap was that I'm pretty sure some pokemon won't spawn unless you increase the rates or get to a certain point in the game. Glimmet specifically won't spawn in most of its minimap areas unless you get to the postgame or there's a Glimmet sighting where several would appear, which is the way I found mine pre-postgame. Assuming other methods of increased odds could work, but I spent literal hours in several caves that glimmet, now in postgame, shows up nonchalantly. The odds are either extremely low or coded not to show up normally.

@@Blooby Yeah, I guess that's needed haha. I think sinistea follows a similar rule not spawning around the charcadet item npc city at the beginning of the game (making its only spawn point much harder to get to than bronzor for the evolution). Aside from that I'm sure you have other rare encounters and indirect ones like Ditto/TreeEncounters up there as mission ideas. Congrats on the win!

So for smallant...
Glimmet spawns in a very small specific location within that area. And they spawn in quite an abundance atleast as i remember it.
But Smallant never went there.
There within the cave like a Pitch black wall (which isnt a wall but a passage)
That if you go through that it leads deeper in to the cave.
There is the only place that spawns glimmets.
Ironically enough during my first run of Violet, of all of the story fights, the only one I didn’t win on my first try was Larry’s normal team 🤡 had to challenge him twice

Smant said on stream a few days ago that he'd done with randomizer races for a while. His hand injury was flairing up from the longer randomizer sessions so he cancelled all of the ones he did. He's switched more to Bingo-style competitions (this was only like 2.5 hours compared to the 4+ hours it takes for randomizers).
yeah generally that was both our issues, my carpal tunnel had my hands burning by the end of a few weeks of randomizer training, just a big strain

By the way, y'all could have taken the side coastal path to the psychic gym, and a shop nearby has + (poison or rock) encounter and the gym by the psychic gym has a higher glimmet spawn chance. (Just in case there's ever another scar/vi lockout with another streamer ;p)

As one who has caught a glimmet there, i found it next to the pokestop, in the only part of the cave that did not have a full roof. Still a rare spawn best left for outbreaks or end/postgame, though.

Trying to get Glimmet was easily my worst experience with ScarVio. Had an outbreak of it around Dazilapa, had no idea what it even was so I spent a whole two hours aboveground trying to find it until finally realizing it was the caves, and not even five minutes later found one. I was so flipping frazzled... and got even frazzleder when it self-destructed.

For a second I almost lost my SHIT until I realized this was a lockout, not a map randomizer. I'm starting to think Smant just cannot be toppled from his Emerald-Platinum throne, and it feels like people have given up trying (which is a damn shame, I love watching those. Or at least the trimmed-down video versions, with smacktalk and mindgames and all.)
Oh so like - the reason we all stopped is because those races WRECK your hands, so it’s tough to do long term

Also, maybe next time a bingo line is a win condition and has priority over majority, majority only becoming a win condition for a player once all bingos for that player are impossible. That adds for a lot more mindgaming fun and strategy with routing and planning!!
