- Hello and welcome to another Train Sim World 4 video!
Today we're taking a spin on the recently improved Cathcart Circle Line! This line has been out for a while now (since Train Sim World 2 I believe!) however it's recently had a new lease of life for Train Sim World 4 in order to make way for the Class 380!
Part of the Siemens "Desiro" family of trains, the Class 380 can be seen operating with Scotrail in both 3 and 4 car formations. They were originally intended for use on the Glasgow Airport Rail Link which was cancelled, and so now can be seen operating on suburban services around Glasgow.

Some features worth noting.
There is a 33% chance your train will get a worn out AWS.
Working ASDO.
Function TMS.
Sometimes there are rattles and squeaking when going over points.
Animated gangway deploy and retract.
Working guard panels
Between this and the 710, I really think the developers are really trying hard to breathe more life into the trains. I wonder if these are AP's sounds or if they recorded these themselves? Also 14:36, gotta love the old DTG taking a leaf out of the AAA business strategy... (Even worse under Focus ownership)
I feel like Cathcart and the Goblin are 2 of those routes you never really get bored of, even though they're shorter commuter routes, they keep you on your feet with frequently changing speeds and close stations keeping it interesting
Nothing better than watching joe run train on a weekend
Finally a train I travel on to see my daughters. I can now drive 😁
I do like the 380s! What are your thoughts Joe?
@JoeDobsongaming I think it's really good joe an enjoyable drive. Wish the ayr to Glasgow line was on it to give it a good run 😁
I'd love to see the Ayr route as well along with a route to Killie on Train Simulator (Classic)
Great model. DTG have really been a roll with the last few routes. Goblin was fantastic too.
12:22 the 2 is for platform staff on the station to know what car the wheelchair accessible door is located, on the 380/0 (3 car unit) it’s located in the middle carriage aka car 2. On the 380/1 (4 car unit) its got a 3 on each cab bc it’s the 2 furthest from the back, aka car 3
Hi
I think the 2 identifies which coach from that sign has the accessible area by memory! There's another class of unit that had/has them but can't remember what now. Will have a look at getting this, nice review Joe!
Ahhhh that makes sense, but then the 2 is on each end haha :D
@@JoeDobsongaming I'm pretty sure IRL they're meant to be 2 and 1 to reflect it but no comment on attention to detail 🫡
Love the video Joe! I don’t live too far from this route 😅
This looks really good the train looks very smart To
Gonna drive the bakerloo line now in TSW 4
Joe, congrats on reaching 30k!! 🎉
Also there is a way to get the classic HUD on TSW4, I would recommend just scrolling slowly through the settings until you find “HUD type” then switch it from minimal to normal
Wasn't expecting to see U pop up
"I wonder if it's anything like the real Florida..."
Joe, you clearly have never been to Glasgow and ventured out in Mount Florida..ha! It's nearby Hampden Park
Gotta say this is a really pretty add-on tbf
Hiya, Joe! Great video as always! I do have a question for you though. So, my dad is the chief engineering director at ADL and he loves watching your videos with me and he was also wondering whether you would like to come meet up down in Farnborough and have a sneak peak of the new enviro 400 EVs coming into service this year!
Good as always although this is the farthest you can get to me
It's quite a way from Dorset isn't it Goose :D
Nice vid
British Ace was doing a live stream the other day and driving a 380 and the doors literally had enough and didn’t want to open for some reason
joe there are s stock sounds with the 380 not sure if its a desirio thing or not
It's a very odd thing I've never noticed before, I know none of the 350/450/444s do it... very weird haha
JOE WILL IT WORK ON TSW3
I feel like 12 quid is a bit steep for a single train but it looks good
I Went on the Class 380
For the next Cathcart circle video can you do a service on the 170?
There are only two and they are both like 5 mins going to and from the depit
If you have DLC add- ons how do you claim it.
Cus I bought the London overground DLC and I don't know how to claim it
Joe what do you think of transport fever 2 getting mod support on console
I m trying to decide whether to get tsw4 or train simulator classic 2024, which one would you recommend? Thanks!
Hello joe
I feel like its dovetail thats the problem. In my eyes its a huge cash grab. However, it seems in recent months that both this and the london overground line are improvements. There somewhat trying as the train has new features including a 33% of a worn aws system/gaurd pannel and pantograph hitting the overhead wires etc..
Definitely, the recent releases have been a hell of a lot better than the previous years. Perhaps they're turning a corner?
I recently bought TSW4, any dlc suggestions??
Southeastern high speed
@Bcp123 I have that on TSW3
Blackpool Branches
@@jonnysigmalegendthanks, probably will get that, I love a good pacer
Fife if your into Scottish routes by the coast
