I agree, if Dovetail made a 380 that layered onto both the Cathcart Circle and Edinburgh to Glasgow it would be so good, it would make both Glasgow Central, Queen Street and Edinburgh Waverly feel less dead and increase gameplay variety, I may be asking a bit much here but if on Edinburgh to Glasgow we could have the lines to Dunbar and North Berwick added that would be more suitable for the 380 as both them and the 385 run on them but I don't think the 380s run on the mainline to Glasgow.
I'm sitting in Perth Australia watching a Kiwi talk about a simulation of rail route I used to travel all the time years ago and lived between Mount Florida and Kings Park. Having the Gaelic names on the station boards is ridiculous as very, very few people in Glasgow speak it.
Nice work on this one mate. Good balanced review. One correction though, while this is sold as DTG 1st party route it was actually Rivet that built it. DTG did the train. One thing I don't like much about this one is the night lighting, it's improved from the original release but still not great. What I do like is using the circle for speed runs. See how fast you can do Glasgow to Glasgow. I'll highlight this via the ambassador channel, while they've had all this feedback already, the effort and balanced approach deserves it. Well done you.
@@DC4260Productions Rivet making this route was mentioned only once on a community post from Rivet, it said, and I quote. "Hey everyone, we are proud to announce our involvement on the Cathcart Circle Line route and more than happy to see all of you enjoying the route. We lovingly crafted all of the scenery including the stations and buildings. Let us know what you think of the route down below."
It is certainly decent, although I much prefer to drive the 314 in Strathclyde livery than the Saltire livery. It would be great if either the 380 and or 320 would come to this route too
Great video and I agree with your comments on the route and suggestions of what new routes/rolling stock could be. Personally since day one I have been wanting a Class 320 for Cathcart as they are similar to the 321s that I grew up with, some of them even being converted ex London Midland 321s
There is Class 66 hauling cargo on this route. It was not mentioned in review (sorry if I missed). This is another true review of dovetail product, it is really enjoyable route.

hi as a trainspotter from scotland. yes 380 run on the cathcart, north berwick and dunbar lines but not glasgow qs to edinburgh that is run by a 385.
Good news the new cathcart circle is getting a remaster with class 385 + 380 (seperate addon) and class 158(will be added soon in tsw4)

I think it’s quite neat. Hints towards Scottish heritage imo

I wasn't aware that Rivet had any involvement with this pack.

So if Rivet played such an important role in the development, why was it sold as a Dovetail product?
@The Trainspotter From Tauranga I don't know. It was like two developers working on an Add-on together.

Fantastic review m8, I’m from Scotland & had this since release, absolute love it, hope they do a Class 380 Add On sometime in the future 🏴👍

I wouldn't mind seeing a 320 myself, although I prefer the refurbished 318.
i just thought i would add as a trainspotter based in glasgow the 385 does not run on the cathcart circle it is a 318,320 and 380.

I saw the 66 in the list of motive power to choose in timetable mode, but I just thought that was another choice for the railtour.
4:45 where'd you get that Virgin reskin I've been looking for one everywhere
I used DTG's newer Class 390 model, not a reskin for the original S9BL version. Sadly the newer 390 was discontinued a while back.
