Let me tell you Cambriea, cooking is a huge contributor to time in a day that is not open to other chores and messes things up completely. If the kitchen is messed, the whole house seems messy. So yes, someone who hardly cooks is living a totally different household than you are (as well as all the other plus items on your list such as pets, children etc.). We are retired now and I can tell you my day is focused on the menu for the evening. Slicing, dicing, preparing, then the cooking, eating and the clean up….wow and we are just a house of two now. Not to mention as soon as supper is over I am searching for recipes for the next day. Never sell yourself short as you have your hands, arms and legs full but most of all your heart!
My house is like Ashley’s because my kids are grown. Yes, everyone is still here and there are trouble spots. I still have to declutter and clean up some closets. The house is still becoming what I want it to be. You know what? I miss the toys. I’m telling ya enjoy the years they are little. Be in the moment and screw the house. The kids are little just once. Live life for the moment. Live for today. Tomorrow is not promised. ❤

Our first day back to school was yesterday August 5th but we get out of school around May 26th. Summer seemed to fly by, before we know it it'll be the holidays!! I think you do whatever you want in your bedroom.

I stopped watching Ashley because I couldn’t relate to her at all… her budget, her color palette but mostly she just doesn’t seem happy with what she has. She was always making something over or replacing something that’s new even though her house was built less than a year ago. I stick with people I can relate to in some way.

Hi Cambriea my granddaughter went back to school August 5th we live in the High Desert in California it’s way too hot to go to school in august it’s was 117 degrees it’s way too hot 🥵 I much prefer going back in September when it’s cooler… I brought the teacher a few things like hand sanitizer,tissues and Clorox wipes I hope it comes in handy I could never be a teacher they deserve so much credit..I hope the kiddos have a great school year lots of love to you all ❤
@Cambriea I’m not sure if you’ve ever seen the hack with the plastic Ziploc containers that are stained with spaghetti sauce? The hack is to put hot water in the container with Dawn dish soap and a paper towel, shake the container and then remove paper towel and dump water and it cleans the stains! Just mentioning it just in case you wanted to try it on your plastic containers…

YES! Someone else who washes the dishes that are left when the dishwasher has no room! I look at it this way, what is left is much less than what was there and if I didn’t have a dishwasher I would be washing ALL of those dishes! School here started this week at one district and next week for the other 7 districts in our small rural community; they all do 4 days a week with Fridays off and the reasoning for mid-August start is contact hours 🙄. Unfortunately, a lot of contact hours is filled with either “social” issues or having to go over homework that the student(s) didn’t do and blew off because of parents who aren’t involved in their child’s education (IMHO). Any who, always love your content!

You are correct, agreeable gray is such a flexible color it works with every other color I’ve seen it with. I have painted my house agreeable gray, and the last house agreeable gray. It’s a wonderful wonderful color.

Like the board & batten idea. What about doing it in white all around the room w/a small shelf trim at the top for shells, pics…. Then just paint the agreeable gray on the wall behind your bed as an accent wall?
When I was watching you clean your beverage area in your kitchen. If your dishwasher is empty. You could possibly put all those glasses and cups into the dishwasher. So it will save you some time cleaning on them with your hands. That's if their dishwasher safe of course. And whatever else that you don't use on a regular basises.

If you have never lived in a coastal area, you will not understand the stick dust. You wouldn't think it would be like that but I can assure you. It's a different kind of dust and lots of it.

For harder Dustables, I use a paint brush to dust them. Like your ship decoration. Everyone knows that my dusting brush is for my dusting only.❤

Yeah in Wisconsin it’s after Labor Day and here it’s so much sooner it was definitely a big adjustment
The sand is such a real problem!! Our yard is sand. Dirt just doesn't exist here. I'm always vacuuming sand and cat hair 😅
