Actually considering the small health difference in the freeze frame at the 10:45 mark, I actually think this bruxish has an attack breakpoint on the opposing bruxish. It's hard to know without being able to see the other's ivs tho
I was going through inventory this morning from yesterday and was going through IVs to mass delete and found a 0-15-15 Bruxish and immediately built it for great league
The most heart ache of Pokemon Go is when you invest so much time on a first evolution and as soon as you think it'll be ready to evolve for Great league it turns up to be a XL
i think it’s situational; you could get a surprise takedown if all they’re expecting you to do is fire a resisted psychic fangs. that said bruxish is so glassy that i think you’d be using psychic fangs most of the time anyway
@@beebobber546lol I had my good phone charging and this ancient device kept closing bulbapedias site. Yes Bruxish is considered pink. You can check how pokemon has classified pokemon into the various colors. Some are questionable
Crunch is stronger indeed but it also costs a bit more energy and since Bite itself generates extremely little energy for fast move damage pressure, it can put you in situations where you are usually a few energy short for a Crunch to use shields or get KO'd which isn't a good thing if you are atleast 2 FastMoves away from 1 Crunch and they use a charge move or finish you off with a fast move. It's not bad but its really there for if you want to hit hard or coverage. With Psychic Fangs, its guaranteed to drop defense and while its damage isn't good on the Psychic Cup it makes Bite do more damage so you end up using less energy to pressure into more fast move damage, also worth noting that if the pokemon can't switch out yet due to timer or the last pokemon the defense drop is extremely good. Aqua Tail is for neutral damage against things that would normally resist Psychic Fangs damage if you want to deal a bit more damage for the same cost, and also great against Victini and Claydol as they are both pretty common picks against Steel Types such as Bronzong and Jirachi. Also Bruxish doesn't have much good defensive stats so it can't take much hits as well.
Finally my useless shadow Mewtwo has some use 😂 except doesn't wanna see bruxish btw i m not using elite tm for psystrike or shadow ball which elemental move best for Mewtwo shadow?? Plss help me
Hey Henry idk if you would have it but if you have a shadow scizor for the great/ultra league it can have a lot of potential and it shreds through glassy pokemon like overqwil or gardevoir especially in the great league and it decimates fairy types as well
I wonder why pvpoke recommends moves like psychic on victini and superpower on malamar in a league of psychic types. do they actually work better than moves like hyper beam on malamar (which was recommended in last season's psychic cup)?
For victini overheat definitely preferred to psychic. Superpower on mala id say is a toss up between that and hyper beam due to how cheap superpower is
They don't exactly work, but they're not terrible if you're really good at playing mind games. Psychic is Victini's only move that doesn't debuff so you'd think the threat of v-create causes people to shield and instead of debuff you just... don't. However, often when people stay in or are locked with Victini they know the V-create is going to hurt like heck anyway so they either know they can tank the 1st or they accept their mon going down to get a better matchup in the back. Basically, you need a REALLY hard read on the opponent to get consistent profit from Psychic. Also, Psychic is more expensive so a lot of the time you're just better off playing the V-create game with Overheat as your nuke option. Superpower I like since it's cheap and Malamar's Foul Play hits hard enough that nuke games aren't worth it, IMO.
@@fehoobar i get the victini part, but won’t you want to avoid debuffing yourself with superpower at all? I would think that running the beam on malamar could let you surprise nuke a gardevoir/rapidash when they least expect it.
@@fallasleeq Meh, you can build up pretty fast to two superpowers, throw and bail. As you can see from the fights here, Psychic Cup is a fast meta, and you'll just not have time for a Hyper Beam a lot of the time, and if you do, you'll most likely want to throw Foul Play anyway, it's exactly the same DPE and will be at least neutral against everything in the cup. So having access to a move that's 1 fast move cheaper to build up to can really help in a lot of situations.
@@HomeSliceHenry after playing a while, it looks like higher attack Bruxish wins against a high rank Bruxish in a bite-down. High rank may help against other 'mons.
i used 12 charged tms on rapidash. I got all the charged moves except body slam, very cool. Also it is impossible to get Malamar for me. What's with the capitalization and spelling??
That's two people now that talk in all capitalized words.
seeing malamar with a superpower in the psychic cup is menacing
Allowing Malamar in the psychic up is retarded anyway. Why not just allow stunfisk in the electric one.
I was going through inventory this morning from yesterday and was going through IVs to mass delete and found a 0-15-15 Bruxish and immediately built it for great league
I've never seen bite give charge moves so fast before, granted it is psychic fangs
I'll try running Hyper Beam Malamar in Psychic Cup because Superpower is useless in a meta full of Psychic types.

Any thoughts towards Crunch Bruxish as a charge move? 10 more energy, but will hit everything for at least neutral damage?
better against Cress, worse against everything else because of bulk

Would crunch not be a better charged move than either aqua tail or psychic fangs due to the super effectiveness?
I opted for the cheapness of psychic fangs and aqua tail. Crunch could see some play, I just wanted aqua tail for cheaper victini coverage
I think bite + fang is enough dark damage. It’s not like Aqua tail is gonna be widely resisted anyway, and it has Stab too
