  • Another incredible experience at Pearl Harbor, we explore the USS BOWFIN, also known affectionately as the Pearl Harbor Avenger. While the tight quarters presented difficulties in filming, we hope you're able to get a sense of what it's really like to explore her interior.

This Chanel has become one of my favorites on UA-cam. Making our town of BG proud. Keep up the great work, thanks for the content.

So glad to see the Bowin again. My family got a private tour of the Bowfin (and Peral Harbor) back in 2015 while we were there via The Make a Wish Foundation. In that tour of the Bowfin and the Missouri we got to go into all of the those "restricted" area that most tourist don't go to go into. Thanks Nina for bring back such a special memory for me.

Awesome tour Ms Nina! I've toured the USS Razorback sub here (AR) and they're fascinating pieces of history to see!

Thank you for sharing this video Nina and especially for your comment about sailors. My Daddy and my Uncle Bud both served in the navy during World War II although neither were on submarines. Outstanding narration!

I was there in February, and I'm a big guy so it was a squeeze for me to go through those doors. Great experience.

GREAT video Nina and Josh!! I too have toured the Bowfin. It's an awesome experience. Did you get the chance to tour the Mighty Mo, or go over to Wheeler Field, or the Arizona Memorial??? Those took my breath away!! I had the opportunity on a work trip in 2018 to actually be at the Visitor Center on the morning of December 7th for the ceremonies, and to visit with some of the survivors. I will remember that day until the day I die. There are a lot of other interesting Naval Museums of that type around the country. If you ever go to Charleston, SC you have to go to Patriot's Point. Not only can you tour another WWII sub, a destroyer escort, and an aircraft carrier! In Galveston TX you have Seawolf Park, with another sub and destroyer. Somewhere I used to have a book listing all of the Naval ship museums around the country. If I find that I'll get it to you.

Whenever my late wife and I visited the panhandle of Florida…we would visit Mobile Alabama and check out the USS Alabama Memorial Park…they have the USS Drum open for tour…my full respect for our sailors who were willing to serve our Nation in such cramped quarters…and until touring the Drum…I only thought Battleships were tight on space 😮😮😮

Fact, there were 100s if not 1000s of under age enlistees who served in WW2 all of which lied about their age, some as young as 12 years old, simply because they wished to serve their country as well as avenge the attack on pearl harbor, plus some enlisted due to lack of jobs in America due to the great depression... Many of hollyweirds greatest male stars served and fought in WW2 as did quite a few of the female stars of that era... ❤

You forgot to say “DOWN LADDER” you have to say “DOWN LADDER” be for you go below or else how is anybody gonna know your going Down the ladder. Shese…Non-Qual! Ask the leatherneck….i bet he had to resist the urge! 😂. And yes I spent too many years on a fast attack Sub out of Charleston.
