Can we get an update video on these two exact same cars 10 years later? Overall cost in repairs and maintenance, reliability, who is still happy owning theirs and still owns it!
Would the Passat SE (Sport Edition) have not been a balanced comparison to the Accord Sport Edition? Why not compare the V6 Accord to the Passat V6 or the Passat 1.8T to the Accord Sport Edition? I think you guys need to have a better selection process when choosing cars to compare against one another.
I drove both cars yesterday. I agree with both of you. I'm a tech geek so I love the Accord, but I really have to add that the Passat has a MUCH smoother ride than the Accord. I'm a long time Honda owner (since 1996!) but as soon as my lease is up on our current Honda, we're going Passat.
If you compare the vehicles, equip to equip, either the 5cyl VW against the 4 cyl Accord, or the V6 vs the V6, there is very little difference in the Edmunds cost to own. I'm sure the accord is better built, but the plastic chrome looks cheap. The VW just looks more expensive, and classy.
Very good review. I really like both car cars and have driven both in 2014 models. I am defiantly looking in to purchasing the Honda Accord sport because as you said more bang for your dollars.

enjoyed the civilized banter. Answers some questions I've been presently having. I own I 94 Accord with over 220,000 miles and have reupholstered the leather seats DIY style (thanks to other youtube videos) and I just see this car running forever. My wife owns a 2003 Jetta TDI (which she loves) but the difference between the cars are style vs engineering. The VW is a lot like apple computers - lots of nice takes on design but the implementation of the interior has begun to fall apart. Interior pieces disintegrating, center consoles deconstructing. The Honda is 9 years older and everything is still secure. No headliner separation like in the jetta. Anyway keep up the good videos and the rapport!
Volkswagen to me its joke comparing Honda to VW there is a reason why Volkswagen is the worlds No 1 car maker they make amazing cars they are quality they never let us down. I don't know why people say they unreliable we lots of people still buying them in Europe you see way more VW's than Honda's.
They are also one of the world's most cheating and deceiving automotive companies in recent times. References: www.nytimes.com/interactive/2015/business/international/vw-diesel-emissions-scandal-explained.html?_r=0
Thank you for an amazing review! I'm gonna have to go with Dave and choose the accord. It's just a better car overall with much better practicality than the passat! But Alex had some good points about Passat's pros. Again thanks for a great review :)
That's some crappy weather you filmed this in! Good job. Just bought the Passat TDI in SE sunroof/auto trim, thinking it's a 60-monther, easy. Maybe it'll be the first car I drive to 100K. The fuel economy is insane - 35-39 in stop and go, 45-50 from 60-70 mph.
If VW was a reliable brand I would get it, but have to go with the Accord for low cost ownership. Maybe the Passat if you were only going to keep for 4 years.
I will say thank you for your guys opinion because it helped me purchase my new 2013 accord sport with a 6 speed manual. And i must say I LOVE IT. The handling is amazing the fuel economy that I'm getting is truly a blessing. Especially that i'm a spirited driver. Keep up on the good work guys and Thanks again
Volkswagen…looks more premium for sure…they are known for class leading workmanship because they own Audi, Bugatti, Bentley, etc… I had a Jetta Gli before…and the cabin trim was very well assembled…it has premium feel to it compared to American cars in its class. German cars in general are well engineered compared to American cars. Japanese are also well assembled, but they are not made for tall people like myself!
Well..I had a BMW 335i , Mercedes C 320 and JEtta Gli 2006 model..and i had no issues with the Jetta…it had incredible workmanship. The BMW was also well made, but the Mercedes was in the shop around 6 times…for reliability issues. The new Volkswagen line is FAR better than its' predecessors…and also Mercedes has improved as well. I love Volkswagen because they do put a lot of thought into their cars such as VW, Audi, Bentley, Bugati. and Lamborghini…They have no choice at this point to rid themselves of any reliability issues when they have to live up to the reputation of producing some of the world's most opulent luxury cars. Consumer reports gives you better feedback from a larger scale because these reports come from all over the nation as oppose to a few friends or family members reports. Just remember, Lemons are found in any brand, but some brands are more prone than others. Cars(regardless of its build quality and name brand) can be flawed and faulty like anything man made. I hope my feedback helped you:)
chris theo German cars are NOT reliable. Thats why you can buy them a dime a dozen on the used market after the warranty is up, while a Honda will still hold incredible value.
Garden of Harmony Asian cars in general are more reliable than German cars…but there are always exceptions. I knew several people with Hondas and had reliable issues. German cars have incredible build quality…but I think the abundance of amenities sometimes adversely affects the reliability of the cars.
I just bought a 2013 Honda Accord Coupe V6 and while I find it interesting that you compared a 4 cylinder cvt with a v6 I would have to say that you're wrong about suffering at the gas pump with the Accord V6. My car has 1400 miles on it, but, I am already getting 27 mpg combined city / highway driving with 31 pure highway - and yes that is in ECO mode. I couldn't be happier with the car - comfort, quality and efficiency - Honda Nailed it.
I am shocked to hear the reference to the Accord being made in Japan. Since the 1980's Accords have been built in Marysville, Ohio. This makes me wonder just what level of understanding these guys have of either of these cars? The Passat is built in Chattanooga, TN. Other than that, great comments and I generally agree with the review.
Honestly, I think it's a good choice to have reviews with two people who are slightly different in age and maturity. It will bring different perspectives, and I enjoyed hearing what you both had to say. Great job!
@hmonglor - we would have LOVED to have the same engines to make it a more even review but we did point out the differences. We thank you for taking the time to leave a comment - Dave
I guess it's just your taste but to me the Passat is so nice and classy... just me personally I don't like the Accord inside... the leather doesn't look as good and the whole thing in the front, the dash, it's like just not my style. The Passat to me seems like a no brainer.
@WannabeGearHead - we'd love to but we don't choose the cars we review - this was the closest we could get but we do mention that in the video, right? Either way, that's why, thank you for the feedback - Dave
@syrmark59 - you are correct, this was not an apples and apples comparison. I'm pretty sure we mention that in the video. Here's the good news, we'll be comparing the Accord with the V6 with the Passat coming very soon - Dave
Love the Accord. Looked at every German car, was considering buying a used Bimmer or Audi (As I was a mechanic for years, but starting a new career as an RN) Never considered looking at Honda, but the Accord coupe grabbed my eye like crazy. Everything on it is so nice, the exterior, interior. I can't wait to buy one.
Proud owner of a metallic black 2013 Honda Accord. I couldn't ask for a better car! I love the tech features inside of the car. The blue tooth integrated car phone is seamless and safer than messing with your cellphone. I seriously love the interior- comfy seats, tons of legroom, high quality parts and components. You also get a smooth ride, insane gas mileage and a a great price tag. What more could you as for? I also appreciate how Honda designed the Accord to not look overly trendy.
Oh, and i have to confess, I'm a sales Rep for a Honda dealership, so I mayyyy be slightly biased. I think you both must admit I make a couple of valid points! I really am looking forward to the rematch though....if it's not out already (and i'm about to search it), then hurry up already!! :D
with exception of the bluetooth buttons, the 2013 CIvic, CR-V and Accord share the same exact steering wheel, with exception that the Civic has a slightly smaller wheel. The only difference will be the placement of the bluetooth buttons which many people were annoyed by in the Civic/CR-V as you had to reach back to activate it, whereas in the accord all you had to do was reach down with your thumb.
I really like your review and I like that you are very detailed in your description. I also like that you are two people with opinions. Sometimes it becomes a bit too "chatty", and I feel like the segment takes longer than it needs to. I think the solution is easy, though, you just have to be a bit more stringent with you editing. Keep it up! :)
Ive owned multiple VW and other German made cars in the past. Noticed to have 2x more issues with VW cars that requires irregular visits to the shop compared to Hondas.
I am 57 years old and just bought a 2013 VW Jetta TDI Sportwagen and since you asked about interior comments ... well here they are... The Honda interior (as is the case for most "Japanese" cars) seems just a little overstyled for my taste (kinda "style-du-jour") ... the next edition will certainly be different.. whereas the VW interior has just what you need and should stay in style much longer ... hope that helps!!!
I own a 13' Accord Lx and love it. I'm not 40..only 39, and I love the instrument panel. I have about 18 years until I retire and have no doubt this car will take me there.
From an interior perspective only, the VW wins hands down. The Passat (and Golf) has the best high quality, well-thought interior and dash of any car, even better than Audi and BMW! The Honda just looks too asian-techy-button-crowed, it's almost as ugly as the Fords. The exterior of the VWs are a bit boring though as is the Honda. Audi and BMWs are much prettier.
Supremo "" The Passat (and Golf) has the best high quality"" Did you lost your mind from reading too much biased magazine reviews from AutoBild??? What means too techy?? Tesla has full touch screen instead of buttons and dash. New S klasse is full of buttons and screens. It has single monitor, few buttons for the A/C controls and the audio system. If you have issues with that, you should consider buying Ford model T.
S.T T. Well maybe "any car" is exaggerated, I think the Tesla, Porsche, Aston Martin and a few others of course do as good interiors as the VW but those are also way more expensive so you really can't compare. For the average joe car, nothing is classier than the VW. In fact VW interiors make most other cars interior look like toy cars. Take the Ford Focus, why isn't there a big fat touch screen in the center, it's tiny and way up front and we get those bulky comming at you console with a silly array of tacky buttons. The Audi and BMW have tiny joystick gizmos you need to fiddle with, why not a clean easy to use touch screen? When was a joystick ever a success with the iPad? It's just taking up extra space, I want that for my cupholder! :) Honestly why don't they just hook up iPads or something in new cars, they're so cheap nowadays. They don't impress me with their low-resolution, tiny 6 inch, 16 color screens and slow interfaces.
Supremo Did you really compare the VW interior with Tesla Porsche and Aston? If by "classy" you mean old dated and square,i agree. Square gives the impression of well and solid build dash. The old 7 series had some issues with their I-Drive,since it had too much sub-menus and multi settings, which took too much time and get used to,not to mention the driver distraction. Second and third generation were improved significantly. If you'v ever tried the interface and software speed of any VW,you won't even think to compare these 2. Its slow, laggy, and the graphics are from the last century.I can tell you with solid confidence, that Hyundai and KIA lately make interiors to put VW to shame. 2 months ago i had test drive of the new I40 and then just opened the door of the previous Passat,2013..,i can assure you that the build quality, used materials, gaps and ergonomics can compete easily with mid class Audi (A6,A7). Its a jewellery build quality! Passat is miles away. Consider also the latest big issues with their 1.4 TSI,FSI,1.2 and 2.0 engines and DSG. Read the latest AutoBild magazine news (they are really biased in VW favour) about 62 engine failure reports concerning the new,2015 Passat for just 2 weeks from the time of its launch!! I mean brands with way,way less reputation doesn't make such major faults over their engines!! At our service we repair at least 5 VW's per week for broken timing chains due to loosen tensioners, and we talk about cars with less than 100 000 km!! And you are talking about interior quality...do some research man.
V6 vs 4Cyl with a CVT. I purchased a 2013 Accord EX-V6 for my wife and she gets on average over 35 mpg on her commute to and from work, I drive in the city and get 22-24 mpg. The only thing I don't like is the electric power steering at low speeds
I've got a Black Accord Sport 6 Speed Manual for about a little more then a month now, I'm loving it..Looks great both in and outside, great features like bluetooth, but the best thing about it is how it drives!!!
I really like the Accord because of the body shape and the interior. It really stands out from other cars and for price wise I think its a great option to go with...Looking forward to getting one of these.
That Honda Accord is BORING!!! Horrible dash and instrument cluster. Passat blows the Accord away in this aspect. I have that VW 3.6 and it ROCKS!!! Side note,,,bet the Accord only has 6 airbags while the Passat has 8! VW always 4 wheel discs brakes and traction control!
ha you're funny accurate has been getting 5 stars in safety rating for years and I've never heard anything like that about the Passat even though I actually really like the Passat to it is actually nice shape and everything but the Accord is just a little bit more sport looking
Just got the 2013 Honda Accord Sport and It actually reminded me of my 04' 1.8T VW GTI I owned a few years back, specially the interior. I am a big VW fan and this Accord Sport has actually impressed me a lot, handling, speed, comfort, and style. I'll play along with the everymandriver guys and give the accord sport a 60 month rating.
Good points. It's amazing how many people still hate on Euro and Asian brand cars that are built in the USA. I think they just don't know and assume they're all still imported. Foreign car companies actually employ more workers in the USA than GM, Ford, and Chrysler combined.
For a single guy would you recommend the Civic or Accord? I just did a test drive of a Civic and hadn't really considered getting an Accord up until this point, but this video makes me wonder if I should consider it.
Hey young dude! I'm 52, and I like the interior of the Accord. I really don't see how the dash is "youngish." Just because something is "techy" does not mean that it targeted to young people. Now, as far as the Passat goes, understated can be elegant as well.
i traded my 2012 accord after only own it 2 months for the 2013 accord and lost quite a bit of money. To tell you the truth i would have done all over again. As for the passat it's an over size jetta the accord is new from the ground up.There's so much going for the accord, worth every penny and more. Thanks for the review guys.
I owned a VW GTI before I went out and compared these two. Specifically the Passat TDI SE and the Accord Sport. I ended up going with the Passat, but I almost went for the accord. Main reason was the TDI engine, I have had it for 4 months and love it. 700 miles to the tank, and the engines life is way longer. It is worth the extra money in the long run.
I had a CC as a rental a few weeks ago and feel that the CC is a much more attractive car than the Passat. It's loaded with features sans sunrooof, or rear view camera, but it has a few features the Accord lacks. However I am the market to an Accord Coupe EX-L V6 and the car is great. I can certainly appreciate the Every Man Driver's thoughts on this car, smooth driving, good steering feel (for a FWD) and the V6 really has some kick and an aggressive engine tone. Great Car for the $.
i had a CC for week in December and I own the 2013 Accord. The CC is nice to drive around and looks great. What I don't like about the CC is the engine has no torque. the car is frustrating to drive when starting from a stop. The dual clutch stutters a bit at low speed. What i really like the fit and feel of the CC. I like how it envelops the driver. The push button parking brake is awesome.
Hey Alex, the Accord is made in Marysville, Ohio - not Tokyo - for 30 years now. I bought the '13 Accord Sport 2 months ago, and love it. Prior to that, I owned a '99 Passat, which I loved, but it was expensive to maintain. I didn't strongly consider the Passat in my latest car search, but I did flirt with the GTI. The TDI Passat adds a premium in addition to the higher cost of diesel fuel, it will take a long ownership to break even. Unless you have an extremely long commute, I'd avoid.
Wanted to comment on the two interiors. Something that was left out that bears mentioning are the door armrests. One of my biggest complaints with the previous Accord and the Passat is that the doors are so far away from the occupants that their armrests are ineffectual causing fatigue on long trips. The new Accord ergonomically was much better for me. And I'm 6'6"! I also love the amount of features you get on the Accord WITHOUT being forced to buy a sunroof. I can't fit in cars with sunroofs.
It threw me off, but the more I thought about it, the more I gave props to the guy. Not only is he good in front of the camera, but he also doesn't seem like the handicap bothers him.
I love my 2012 Passat VR6. Laser-welded body seams, DSG transmission, a huge comfortable interior, and everything just fits. The doors close with the most satisfying "whump" that you just don't get in any Asian or domestic sedan. I completely disagree that it's a boring car. It's smooth, quiet, refined, and surprisingly fast. Upgrading from my Ford Fusion was a world of difference.
Two weeks ago, I bought 2013 Honda Accord Sport grey color love it! I was a bit sceptic about 4 cylinders performance but very pleasantly surprise, joy, old boy just right and awesome. I think Honda should center it's future marketing campaigns and continue to refine this model in 2014 so on.
I just went car shopping last week. I tried almost every import model imaginable. I even tried an all-American Chevy Malibu, just for sh*ts and giggles. I'm 6'3 and let me tell you, the only vehicle that provided adequate leg room was by far the Honda Accord. The Accord is mature and classy, not over sexy. It's built like a tank, has decent power and the best fuel economy around. Also, Honda offers some great tech and safety features in the redesigned Accord. It handles and rides like a dream.
I did a comparison test drive this weekend between the Accord Sport (manual transmission) and the new Civic SI. Although I lose 12 hp in the Accord, it drives practically as well as the SI, but with better gas mileage. Doesn't hurt to say that you get A LOT of extra interior and trunk space in the Accord for only an additional $600... But then again, the technology they put into the SI is really hard for a guy like me to willingly let go as I'm a driver's driver.
At the end of the day, which car is better for 2017 model year? My mom needs something to replace her 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis that is now having transmission issues. Honda seems to be a more reliable brand but our local Volkswagen dealers are selling it for $3k less brand new than the Accord...
No. The Jetta Hybrid just has LED daytime running lights (which provide no forward illumination at night). The Accord Touring has LED daytime running lights AND LED low beam headlamps. BTW, the LED headlamps are way better than halogen headlamps, which is all that's available on the Passat.
I recently bought a '13 accord and seriously was considering '13 passat against it.. No doubt ride has been smoother.. A lot improvements and on interior accord seats are more comfy than passat. Instrument panel is much more German generic in passat.
Top 10 Car & Drivers award has been presented to the Honda Accord 27 years in a row. The quality and reliability of a Honda you cannot compare to anything else. Don't forget Honda is the largest engine manufacturer in the world. Cars, trucks, motorcycles, jets, aquatic vehicles, power equipment, artificial legs, and even solar panels for buildings. They know what the hell they are doing! Go Blackhawks
My 2013 Passat 2013 regularly runs 47.5 mpg per tank. On a road trip it averages 50.1mpg. It has the manual 6 speed and is so comfortable and quiet.
what're you talking about man...that's an elegant interior passat got.
Spartan, plain, drab, teutonic.
I love the interior of the Accord. It's elegant, and simple. 10/10
Same, Accord has an amazing interior for its price.
+Emin Marookian yea
+Clint Barclay I like it too, the techy-ness is a feature of Honda's. I don't like the interior of the Passat -- it's like a giant Golf interior with extra blank spaces added to fill in the gaps between the Golf stereo system and Golf switchgear.
VW hands down, love the Passat
Another clear win for the Honda Accord. I do have a few issues with this video. In the VW it looks like they are sitting so close together, so the room inside is not that much. in the USA you see way more Hondas. than Volkswagen even tho I am not biased to either the accord passat they are to of my favorite cars
Not in Europe you don't VW are way more popular than Honda its no contest and in look sales worldwide VW wins easy.
They are also one of the world's most cheating and deceiving automotive companies in recent times.

Don't care we had them all our lives great cars never changed our VW for any car German cars are the best well for us anyway.
Thank you for an amazing review! I'm gonna have to go with Dave and choose the accord. It's just a better car overall with much better practicality than the passat! But Alex had some good points about Passat's pros. Again thanks for a great review :)
We love subscribers with a sense of humor and you are HILARIOUS! - Dave
Actually, I really like the Accord's interior
Welcome aboard @WhosPacci. Not sure about the audio issue you're experiencing but our mic's are $600 a piece - Dave
Honda wins. Hands down. Forget VW
Japanese are also well assembled, but they are not made for tall people like myself!
german cars feel nice to drive, perform well, and are reliable. but very pricy to fix
chris theo i know..i had a 335i Bimmer…Mercedes and Volkswagen…they are pricy to fix…even a Volkswagen…that is the only draw back!
Great job!
If you consider Honda as in import [not to say accord is built in US] ?, then what is VW ??
Guys....good job! Thanks! One thing...I'm getting the Honda and I am NOT a 40 year-old working for Schwab. I'm a 70 year-old grandfather and actor.
Thank you, I decided on the Honda Accord !
Enjoy the noisy ride.
braintrain5000 my 99 Honda accord of quite and smooth.... what kind of banged up Honda were you driving?
Thanks for the feedback - Dave
I will choose passat, neat n clean
@hmonglor - we would have LOVED to have the same engines to make it a more even review but we did point out the differences. We thank you for taking the time to leave a comment - Dave
I guess it's just your taste but to me the Passat is so nice and classy... just me personally I don't like the Accord inside... the leather doesn't look as good and the whole thing in the front, the dash, it's like just not my style. The Passat to me seems like a no brainer.
that wasnt leather it was cloth. and you might like the upgraded accord with navi and touch screen radio.
The leather in the Accord is plenty nice. It's soft and has small perforations.
@WannabeGearHead - we'd love to but we don't choose the cars we review - this was the closest we could get but we do mention that in the video, right? Either way, that's why, thank you for the feedback - Dave
The Volkswagen will last for a very long time.
200k miles on mine, nothing ever "broke"
213,000 to be more accurate
@syrmark59 - you are correct, this was not an apples and apples comparison. I'm pretty sure we mention that in the video. Here's the good news, we'll be comparing the Accord with the V6 with the Passat coming very soon - Dave
Y didnt you guys compare V6 to V6 and 4cly to 4 cyl... this review is not fair engine wise...
I like German cars but Honda Wins this for me....
I prefer the Passat...❤
Proud owner of a metallic black 2013 Honda Accord. I couldn't ask for a better car! I love the tech features inside of the car. The blue tooth integrated car phone is seamless and safer than messing with your cellphone. I seriously love the interior- comfy seats, tons of legroom, high quality parts and components. You also get a smooth ride, insane gas mileage and a a great price tag. What more could you as for? I also appreciate how Honda designed the Accord to not look overly trendy.
No moonroof, 4 cyl instead of 6, non upgraded audio, 2 less airbags,,,of course the Honda is cheaper! DUH!!!
Oh, and i have to confess, I'm a sales Rep for a Honda dealership, so I mayyyy be slightly biased. I think you both must admit I make a couple of valid points! I really am looking forward to the rematch though....if it's not out already (and i'm about to search it), then hurry up already!! :D
Honda!!! :)
with exception of the bluetooth buttons, the 2013 CIvic, CR-V and Accord share the same exact steering wheel, with exception that the Civic has a slightly smaller wheel. The only difference will be the placement of the bluetooth buttons which many people were annoyed by in the Civic/CR-V as you had to reach back to activate it, whereas in the accord all you had to do was reach down with your thumb.
That guy is 26 he has the taste of a 45 year old and almost look the part.
Seriously took the words right out of my mouth. I got to the part where he was talking about the interior and this was my exact thought!
he's not 26
I really like your review and I like that you are very detailed in your description. I also like that you are two people with opinions. Sometimes it becomes a bit too "chatty", and I feel like the segment takes longer than it needs to. I think the solution is easy, though, you just have to be a bit more stringent with you editing. Keep it up! :)
the honda does better in real life. more reliable, better contact points.
Ive owned multiple VW and other German made cars in the past. Noticed to have 2x more issues with VW cars that requires irregular visits to the shop compared to Hondas.
Lmao VWs are known for reliability
I am 57 years old and just bought a 2013 VW Jetta TDI Sportwagen and since you asked about interior comments ... well here they are... The Honda interior (as is the case for most "Japanese" cars) seems just a little overstyled for my taste (kinda "style-du-jour") ... the next edition will certainly be different.. whereas the VW interior has just what you need and should stay in style much longer ... hope that helps!!!
PASSAT 4 ME PLEASE !
I own a 13' Accord Lx and love it. I'm not 40..only 39, and I love the instrument panel. I have about 18 years until I retire and have no doubt this car will take me there.
Really, you thought the Accord was made in Tokyo?
And a $1000 to $2000 more? No, a V6 base price is about $5000 grand more.
What one had the least road noise? Looking at a Accord 4 cylinder and a Passat TDI today as we drive 100 miles a day.
Honestly why don't they just hook up iPads or something in new cars, they're so cheap nowadays.
And you are talking about interior quality...do some research man.

the snow makes everything look more great and dramatic snow is cool!
I owned VW Passat. That's how I Iearned to fix cars.
V6 vs 4Cyl with a CVT. I purchased a 2013 Accord EX-V6 for my wife and she gets on average over 35 mpg on her commute to and from work, I drive in the city and get 22-24 mpg. The only thing I don't like is the electric power steering at low speeds
omg, the driver is so freaking handsome, sexy, cute! lol
hope your a female
I've got a Black Accord Sport 6 Speed Manual for about a little more then a month now, I'm loving it..Looks great both in and outside, great features like bluetooth, but the best thing about it is how it drives!!!
Honda the way to go!
Its made in Marysville Ohio, kraut lover.
Great overall review. That cheap mic was killing me. Even so, you got a new subscriber. Keep up the good work guys. Looking forward to some new vids.
Honda looks great inside and outside - How did it perform in the snow?
Good points. It's amazing how many people still hate on Euro and Asian brand cars that are built in the USA. I think they just don't know and assume they're all still imported. Foreign car companies actually employ more workers in the USA than GM, Ford, and Chrysler combined.
The Accord Sport is only available with the 2.4 litre Earthdreams i-vtec inline 4 with either a CVT or 6 speed manual transmission.
For a single guy would you recommend the Civic or Accord? I just did a test drive of a Civic and hadn't really considered getting an Accord up until this point, but this video makes me wonder if I should consider it.
i have a honda accord 09 EX. 4cl. with a 190hp. no complains, more than enough power for me. accords are known as the most reliable sedans out there!
I wonder what driver seats are more comfortable Honda or Passat?
Hey young dude! I'm 52, and I like the interior of the Accord. I really don't see how the dash is "youngish." Just because something is "techy" does not mean that it targeted to young people. Now, as far as the Passat goes, understated can be elegant as well.
Cannot beat an accord. I had one for over ten years and it didn't give me one day of trouble. We are about to get another.
i traded my 2012 accord after only own it 2 months for the 2013 accord and lost quite a bit of money.
I’m a Volkswagen fan but why compare a 4 to a 6???
I think Honda should center it's future marketing campaigns and continue to refine this model in 2014 so on.
those guys r awesome
they really know how to review a car properly in a proficinal way great show keep up
I just went car shopping last week.
I'm 39 and the infotech is simple and perfect on the 2013 Honda accord sport. In fact, I bought it today.
No. The Jetta Hybrid just has LED daytime running lights (which provide no forward illumination at night). The Accord Touring has LED daytime running lights AND LED low beam headlamps. BTW, the LED headlamps are way better than halogen headlamps, which is all that's available on the Passat.
What type of accord did you drive? I experienced that the accord ex and higher has a very smooth ride.
How can you wear all seasons tire in winter with ice? Winter tire is mandatory
I recently bought a '13 accord and seriously was considering '13 passat against it.. No doubt ride has been smoother.. A lot improvements and on interior accord seats are more comfy than passat. Instrument panel is much more German generic in passat.
What can you get for $24k with a better interior and comparable features?
@Gurpreet, I do mention the price on every vehicle I review. I do touch on some of the additional packages but not always. - Dave
