@@Terminal_Apotos sega could have delayed it, yes, but that's not an accuse for blind squirrels lousy job. Sega may not be the greatest company out there, but we can't blame everything on them. Sega doesn't love disappointing anyone. Think about what you are saying, they don’t want to disappoint otherwise they wouldn’t make an iconic character like sonic, nor would they really exist bc they wouldn’t want to make games. Like use your common sense. Bear in mind that it's not an easy job to own a bunch of franchises and that only leads into making tough decisions and sometimes big mistakes.
@@Ibalistic_hedge Funny how SEGA consistently fucks up with the Sonic Franchise though. Sonic Forces, Sonic Colors Ultimate, Sonic Origins, and Sonic Frontiers all have problems stemming from SEGA.

As much as I like Ultimate, these are pretty peak improvements
Best way to play sonic colors ultimate: play the original wii version on MARINE MAMMAL EMULATOR I LEGALLY CANNOT NAME with a 60 fps patch and hd textures.
UPDATE: THE SONIC COLORS DX MOD FOR THE WII VERSION IS A MASTERPIECE. GET IT.

Colors Ultamite was never meant to be a real remaster, but rather a PC port with a few new features, kind of like how NFS Hot Pursuit Remastered is just the original game with all DLCs, crossplay support and custom car paint options, with no real graphical improvements
This game made me realize that colors is a really fun game, it stinks the port is so rough that the must have mods aren’t for fun but mostly to fix the game
Kinda wish sega would give us a dedicated mod menu/workshop for these games like skyrim or fallout 4.

It's a shame that blond squirrel didn't care about remastering the game in the first place. The game wouldn't have been Brocken if they had just down their job properly.
I swear, Blind Squirrel better either just quit making Sonic ports, or actually try to make them good. We can't have an Unleashed port this bad.
@@LightspeedAdventurer I don't think sega would trust them to make a remaster again. And thats if we get an unleashed remake. I mean, the game clearly means a lot to them and they know it means a lot to the fan base, so I don't think they'd want to risk a remake going wrong and tainting unleasheds reputation.

I mean don't get me wrong I'm not here to defend the game or anything it was a fucking mess a glitchy mess! we can all agree on this one thing but I need to mention this but ever since I heard about the final patch..update 3.0 that the game is fixed after few days later alot of UA-camrs begin to test this final patch and most of those videos had a pretty good,solid results about this final patch update 3.0 that mostly fixed the game there was no glitchy mess and bugs specially seizure glitches that matter...in those videos as they were testing the final patch update 3.0 the game was..kinda solid and it was running perfectly fine.
For some reason, i don't see any problems in the game's original lighting.

do the mods shown in the video fix the issue with the quick step mode? Because when I played it, I couldn't do those quick steps neither with the keyboard nor with the control

@@SFproductions1 Yup, just got the game a few days and when i got to the act 3 of tropical resort, I couldn't do the quick step, instead, sonic was only moving, not making a dash-like move, and I check the guides section on steam and there's a "trick" to fix it, but it doesn't work for me and I heard the quick step and drift were going to be like generations and unleashed, but for some reasons the devs decided to keep it automatically, so I was asking that when I saw your short

@@DeskoDev no, It usted a custom versión for the wii made for Sonic unleashed, is not the HD hedghehog engine from PS3/Xbox 360
@@davidgameranimations It's still a variant of HE1. Hell, it ended up being the basis of Lost World's HE1 variant - different renderer, unsurprisingly.
@@DeskoDev It is a variant yes, but a variant so different in everything that it is impossible to say that it uses the same engine as generations or unleashed, they do not look similar at all and that is no longer due to the artistic style, but rather the Wii version is different Due to limitations, just compare Wii Unleashed with Xbox and you will see that they are almost totally different engines
@@davidgameranimations Hedgehog Engine isn't just a graphics engine, contrary to popular belief, but a full on game engine. At this point I might as well don the nerd glasses, though :P
Colors Ultimate really should've used Mirage like the other HE1 games instead of Blind Squirrel's Godot fork, but Project Re-Rainbow at least shows that they could've done much better with it.

It's actually very simple! You just need to download HedgeModManager and on gamebanana you can click the HedgeModManager download and theyll automatically install

You could go through all that effort to fix this broken port, OR you could just play the original game via emulator for free. Don’t support these business practices by buying watered down “remasters.”
To me I will never like Sonic Colors, It will always be a boring and bad game to me I don't care what anyone says
