Do you feel the same for a dog in leash? If they could control elephants just in leash they should have done it. Why keep them in captivity? Same question goes to dogs. Elephants have been a part of their life for very long time there. Nobody questions why you domesticate dogs, so don't question why somebody else domesticate a different animal.
