Rodgers has to be fined. There is another guy there who missed practice too and that guy is getting fined. You can’t treat one player differently than the others. The rest of the team would have resentment towards Rodgers and the coach

As a packer fan I can say Rodgers never went to any of the voluntary practices for the last several years. I was surprised Rodgers showed up for the Jets last year. Rodgers feels like he’s good enough he doesn’t need the practice. Jordan love has been training all offseason privately with his receivers and he’s been at every optional practice for 2 years building chemistry with receivers. Rodger’s has got blown out the first game of the seasons and started slow the last several years because of it. Rodger’s usually went to mandatory stuff though so to see him miss that too is hilarious. They are definitely going to loose in the first round of the playoffs this year.
He made every OTA this season. This is much ado about nothing. he is a 41 yo guy coming off a major injury who went to earlier workouts and is taking the closer 2 days off before the real training camp starts. Makes perfect sense for everyone but Robert Saleh.
@@richardprescott5939 I said I was surprised that he made it for the jets. He never went to anything optional for the packers. That’s my point. I’m sure he probably has a good reason to miss this on since he’s gone to the others. But even still he’s not the leader at QB that Brady was, he’s not hungry enough to dedicate his offseason to getting better because he truly believes he’s the greatest ever. Brady was grinding year round, having guys come stay at his house all summer to get reps with his top guys. The packers receiving core lacked chemistry the last several years. Rodger’s hated throwing to rookies, if they dropped one pass or ran a wrong route he’d have them taken out physically or he’d take them out by not looking their way for the rest of the game. Love had all rookies pretty much last year and they were all running the wrong routes and dropping the ball. He would go right back to the same guy next play after a mistake to rebuild confidence. I’m a diehard packers fan who watches every game every year multiple times. Im very thankful for the good years with Rodgers but his ego is what kept him from another ring. The packers were close. They didn’t need another receiver. They needed Rodgers to let the rookies into his hose in the summer to bond with them and get as many reps as they can to speed up the process. He was notorious for not even talking to to the rookie receivers. He wouldn’t give his number out to them. That’s not a good leader. Those guys were looking for guidance and probably had a lot of questions go unanswered because Rodgers was a dick to them early on.
@@Pnw208 Brady had his own people inside the facility. Then he cut and ran on the Patriots when the talent dried up. That is not a leader. That is a front runner. He saw no talent and left. Rodgers was essentially told to leave. He went to one of the three worst franchises in the league.
The Packers traded up to take Jordan Love. That was not going to help Aaron Rodgers win. They could have added another ecellent position player to help win then. I don't fault the Packers if they thought Love was the next guy (he may very well be) but I don't fault Rodgers for being less than enthused.
And I watched the games that Rodgers was so bad. One of the games they lost on blocked punt. He had gotten them 7 on drive 1 and was driving them for TD 2 when his TE simply fumbled the ball with not a player within 5 yards of him. Turned that into a game, when they could have run and hidmfor a win. TOM BRADY always had superior special teams and his teammates made few mental errors. Gronkowski didn't just drop the ball. Punts were not blocked. Rodgers made the plays, but his teammates were not as good and not as well coached. Team sports are that way. Brady was excellent, but so was his circumstances. And when he left he went to the most talented team. Randall Cobb wouldn't have got a sniff to make that Tampa Roster. Lazard neither.

fact check - Rodgers also missed an OTA in Green Bay in 2021 ... It was the last time a starting QB missed a mandatory OTA prior to this season ( both Tua and Rodgers missed time this year ).
