Topography as an solid. What an improvement! I was working in Revit since 2007 and gave up in 2020. Moved to AC and I regret that haven't done it 10 years earlier. Everything is so easy to achieve after all these years... I am keeping my revit skills as "the Industry" is still believing it is the best tool. Just in case...
Revit is a BEAUTIFUL program. When I say beautiful, I mean it. My only concern is the licence renewal and the high price. I wish I could have the program as a LEARNING licence for me alone and master the whole thing. if I decide to do production, I will OF COURSE pay the licence since I'll have the economy to do so. We poor people need access to the loop. Yes, these things are not for free but there are a lot of gifted people out there that would love to have a chance in their lives.
I know exactly what you mean and I feel for everyone. Thankfully, my firm pays for it but we have gone through it internally and it's been painful. I do really enjoy Twinmotion's licensing model. And I really appreciate Unreal's model, which is free until you make X amount from the program. Barrier to entry for those programs is 0. You could stick to some trials but that will only go so far.
@@ArchitectureVanguard That's exactly my point. The prices is ridiculously high for starters. The idea is to learn and have people everywhere using the program. Imagine having a set of draftsman where ALL knows Revit to perfection and Rhinoceros. That would make EVERYTHING easier. But this price entry is just like the Wall of China. It's impossible to start unless you work in a corporation or get some training. Revit is a great program in combination to Autocad, Rhinoceros Grasshopper and Rhinoceros. I think the company should rethink the ToS for single people. If I start production, I must tweak to a professional licence or use Twinmotion model.
The topography is specifically 3D and does not have any lines associated to it. There are lines between points but not real lines. Like previous versions of Revit, you can create toposolids from CAD files or lines.

Thanks man…I use Lumion with revit seems cool
Great to hear! I agree !
This looks awesome! When constructing topography do you ever use drone collected data to inform your process?

What happened to the basic imperial architectural template?
Can you flip topography tin lines in the new version like AutoCAD let’s you?

Will PyRevit be updated for Revit 2024?
I would imagine so, might take a bit of time.
Vanguard, do you have any idea what kind of render programme Artefactory lab uses for their renders ?
How get one for free
I would use the trial, I would start there.
We use odd yrs
Interesting, good to know.
such a miss to not partner with enscape sense it is waaay more seamless with revit than twinmotion is
Makes sense but Twinmotion will be a bit more seamless in the end. I have my own opinions of Enscape but it is still great.
Revit 2024 is still shit... Autodesk is the worst thing that happened to it. They just buy things and kill the innovation and competition!
whats the alternative
