I must say that I watched a bunch of MRE reviewers and you are among the best. Calling yourself messy yet being really neat and knowing how to handle the stuff. Funny. Honest. And you liking the Panzerwaffles which I ejnoy as well is a bonus. Just a note: "grouts" is a general name for any grain used as a meal component, either whole or broken, and served as a side dish like potatoes or pasta. Buckwheat grouts, barley grouts, oats grouts and so on. A staple of Polish comfort food (and in Central/Eastern Europe in general). Healthy, nutritious and tasty if you grew up with it. From the dark colour, this looks like roasted buckwheat (non-roasted is available as well, with a milder nutty taste) which is my favourite. So, "kasza gryczana" or "buckwheat grouts" is simply buckwheat grain. A pro tip: Boil some roasted buckwheat with a pinch of salt, and simply mix in some smoked pork lard with cracklings while hot. Heaven. And Polish spam can vary from somewhat edible to heavenly. If it's called "tyrolska" (I don't know why it's called "tyrolean") or "turystyczna" (tourist's spam) it's rather on the lower end.

So I looked up Grout...It is a mold made from lemons skins, Port or Sherry and almonds and raisins. So down to earth taste....yeppy it would be...lol Godspeed Bro
