yes, thank you for the music comment. It did not sound that way when I edited but had others mention it as well. Let me know how your nursery turns out:)
Wow, some things I didn't even think about like keeping the crib away from the windows and the risk of having a crib that has one side going up and down. Thank you again for this video and your other videos.
It's so sweet you record these videos for baby related stuff! I wish I'd found your videos before having had my baby girl (8 months now) :D You're such a sweet girl too, hope you make more videos in the near future.
i love your videos. im 21 weeks pregnant with my first child (daughter) and your videos are VERY helpful. i gotta make my hubby start watching the ones that will be helpful for him XD
Great questions! Some parents replace the soft bumper with a mesh one. However, the AAP says that the risk of any bumper is greater than having one-even a mesh one. For cool nights, use a wearable blanket (halosleep is the brand we use). You can swaddle your baby if he/she is under 4 months. Like Narissa mentioned, pillows are not recommended for children under 2 due to SIDS.
Love the wall stickers.... my mother is obsessed with giraffe's and we have heaps of giraffe cloths and items for my 5 year old daughter, and now that I'm pregnant again, she keeps pointing out more giraffe things... I'm going to end up with them everywhere! lol
This video came out just in time! We are going to start hunting for a crib next month :-) Momma Sohn you must be blessed with psychic powers LOL. Great tips, very important and useful for first time mothers-to-be like myself. Keep up the great work! xoxo
I also would look at how far apart the space between each wooden slat of the crib is. I think they said if you can fit 3 or so fingers through it, it's too big & the baby could get stuck? My mom said I should use a bassinet for the first few months since the baby will sleep a lot & we can use the crib I was given later. I will check on the manufacturing date & everything too! It's practically new & rarely used but better safe than sorry.
I am still not a mommy or a wife, but when I get pregnant I'll return to all your videos. But I am still going to watch your videos :D. Thank you so much for all your great videos! :p
I know what you mean about wanting to buy beautiful bedding sets, but this actually saves us money!! Thank you for your comment and answering chantilly102's question:)
tell me about it! I am trying to figure that out too!! haha~ The best thing I found is to stay active. I tend to eat everything in sight, but at least I am walking, stretching and swimming a little.
u are amazing momma Sohn i loved all ur videos and am learning a lot from it and thanx for the Reply (( you advised me to a good book )) thank u so much
The new standards address the distance between the slats: No more than 2 3/8 inches (about the width of a soda can) between crib slats so a baby's body cannot fit through the slats. A bassinet is a great idea. We used ours for about 3 months.
another great info from Sara :) at first I want all the cute baby bedding too. yes, the bumper and blanket but after I read more info from baby website (such as babycenter or parentsconnect) I found the same info you're giving us!! so I only have the mattress and fitted sheet in the crib waiting for her. oh, btw I think your background music is a little too loud and kinda hard to focus on you
Hi! :D i love ur videos!!! i love babies and i definitely wanna be a mum in the future (i'm 21 right now and finishing my university) so i find ur information really helpful :) The only thing i gotta say is that u could put the background music a little lower, cuz it sometimes overlap ur own voice, and it was hard to understand u :) Other than that keep the good work :D
Ayy mira vos, Momma Sohn! Creciste en Sudamerica???!!! Yo naci y creci en Bs As, Argentina. No puedo creerlo....con razon tenes ese caracter re "libre". Seguro que sabes de que estoy hablando, no? ;)
Omg! do you speak spanish? I just saw your recent tweets, i'm from Venezuela so I speak spanish and its very exciting when people I admire speak spanish too! haha
you don't replace anything for the bumpers. if the baby is cold you swaddle him/her instead or use a wearable blanket that way they can't suffocate. Pillows are not recommended for children under 2.
I'm so happy to hear this helped!! Made my long night editing worth it! Good luck finding a crib!
momma sohn so its safer to use sleep bag instead of blankets in a cot?
yes, thank you for the music comment. It did not sound that way when I edited but had others mention it as well. Let me know how your nursery turns out:)

:) Thanks for your support!
you are so gorgeous momma sohn!
What I don't understand is that they don't want things in the crib but Its OK for kids to sleep in things like DOCATOT could you explain that?
what is the solution for all these things? so what to use to replace baby bumpers?
what if the baby is cold and need blanket? what if he need pillows?
