Bruce Lee was over rated. He never won a world championship. He was very good but people in the old days were dumb and believed everything they saw. Bruce Lee was an actor, often rigged up to pulleys etc for moves. Doing stuff in small moves and editing it together. The same size ufc fighters as Bruce Lee would batter Bruce Lèe. Bruce Lee was tiny.

Exactly I agree with, and they didn't even say Bruce versus Mike in a boxing Match. They said an all out street fight. That can include more than hands. In the case of Bruce lee he can use a lot more tools. He is more versatile than any boxer. I think some arrogant boxer's believe they are the only best fighters in the world.

Bruce is 5’8 Tyson 5’10 everyone acting like it was some gigantic height difference is wrong. Definitely weight difference but Bruce was way leaner. I bet lean body mass they’re not ridiculously far off. Bruce has a speed advantage for sure. AND The biggest difference not being discussed is Bruce spent his entire life thinking about ending a real fight not a boxing match. His go to move would be a sidekick to Tysons knee as he came in and he absolutely could break his knee with one kick. He would also not hesitate to gouge Mike’s eyes out. A figure jab is absolutely a first move in JKD. I’m not saying this would win. And if Tyson connected he obviously could knock Bruce out. Finally someone who gets it. Mike would rush in and end up getting his leg broke. It’s over before it begins, and like you said Bruce has no problem hoing for your eyes. Its a great question and Mike Tyson probably the greatest boxer of all time. But many who trained with Bruce lee said he hit just like a heavy weight. I think with the speed and power of bruce it would be to much for Mike. Bruce to fast but it bruce would want to avoid mikes punches.

if tyson could hit bruce then yes goodnite bruce, but there were proffessional lightweight, middle weight and heavyweight fighters that sparred with bruce back in the day that said Bruce was too fast they couldnt touch him but the power on the guy when he hit you which was often did indeed hurt cos he hit as hard as a heavyweight, i dont think tyson would have an easy time.

I say Bruce will win. Bruce Lee proved himself to many professional fighters of his time era, who resulted in wanted Bruce to teach them. Plus, Dan Inosanto, Larry Hartsell and James De Mile had military background. These people alone, see things from first hand. Bruce lee is versatile with kicks and kicks has a longer range than punches. Tyson is better on big slower targets. Large size indeed is an disadvantage facing Tyson, and swift and agile opponents will pose more a threat to Tyson. It is quite situational, if Tyson could land a punch without being jabbed in the eyes or kicked in the sensitive parts, he would win.

Bruce Lee trained on a punch bag more than twice his body weight and moves the bag. Bruce. Is not as heavy as Tyson, but that’s why Bruce trained on his speed and power. Also, Bruce Lee trained like a boxer, as well as he trained as a street fighter. Tyson would need to have a way to deal with Lee's powerful low kicks. You cannot underestimate a low kicking expert VS a straight attacking boxer that has no understanding of how to stop this attack*! For two forward moving fighters in a streetfight, the fastest one would win if that fastest fighter also had enough power to stop his foe. That's what martial artists do; they move forward to attack. And, Bruce was a sensei(hired by many people--SOME LEGENDS) and--at the same time--saw forward moving targets all the time. Watch the Lee technique for a straight attacker...I think the weakness to it is circular movement, but Tyson was not that nor did he have any experience defending the lower area of the body. 90% of the moves in Japanese style Jujitsu is ineffective bullshit if it were that you meant. The finger jabs wouldn't work, considering the way Tyson moves his head. In a fight, I'll go with Mike Tyson. But I also respect Bruce's skill, abilities and his fighting philosophy especially, because they were ahead of his time. I am a big fan of both guys and I respect them both. In a fight in general between a pro fighter vs a martial artist who regularly spars, the pro fighter would most probably win. It is because the pro fighter is used to getting hit back, a pro fighter is used to physical beating than an average man. A pro fighter is physically and mentally tougher in fights than a regular street fighter or a martial arts practitioner. How much more if we talk about an elite pro fighter like Mike. There is no way that a regular martial arts practitioner would beat Mike. Not only that Mike could take a strong hit, but he also hits hard and fast. Mike is very explosive. Bruce was athletic, has power, speed and good timing in sparring. But how well could he take a hit or a strike? Maybe against regular practitioners he could. But could he take a hit or a punch from a pro? Could he take a hit against an elite boxer like Mike? I don't think so. How about Bruce's eye jab/finger jab, elbows or kicks or kicks to the groin, how will Mike deal with them? I am pretty sure Bruce won't land them on Mike that easy. Why? Because Mike is a fighter. He is both a pro fighter and was a street fighter, he knows how to deal with "anything goes" in a fight, even against weaponed opponents. Pro and seasoned fighters like Mike are smart in every aspect of fighting, even if the fight is not purely boxing, because being exposed to fighting developed their instincts to adapt in any situation related to fighting. Even if Mike gets hit with an eye jab or a groin shot, whatever, I am sure he will continue to fight back as long as he is alive and capable of finishing his opponent. It may stun him, but he will still fight back. As long as a pro fighter is alive, he will fight back and do his best to win. Could Mike touch Bruce? Yes. I believe so. If Bruce's commits to strike Mike, he is also liable to get hit because it is a fight. Everybody gets hit in a fight unless it ends very early, such as when fast knockouts happen. If a fight lasts even just for a minute, surely both fighters will get hit by each other, unless one of them does not really want to commit to hurt the other. How about Bruce's powerful side kick that could break the recepient's knee? Well, a side kick is a thrust kick. A thrust kick would only break a knee that easy if the knee is held straight up. If the knee is bend, a side kick won't break it. A boxer's knee is of course is slightly bent when fighting. A side kick won't break it. This is just my opinion, I am just a regular guy, not a pro fighter, I am just a fan and I respect everybody else's view. I am not imposing my opinion. This is a question that would have to be answered in many fights. Best of 10, best of 100... Tyson has 110lbs on him, but I think Bruce wins the bigger portion. Bruce was the one that taught no rules, biting, and preached only street fighting. Have one every year so they have time to heal from crushed knees, and crushed skulls.

He was still trained for a while by one of Ip's top students, before leaving and gaining many accolades from far more accomplished fighters than myself. The argument that he didnt win tournaments is ignorant. I know many tournament champions that could not hold their own with either of these fighters. But dont take my wors for it. Go see what legends in the martial arts field had to say about him. Just listen to what Dana White had to say about him. Bruce was the father of mixed martial arts, and weve all seen how well boxers have faired against them, with an abysmal record in the octagon. Just because bruce wasnt in boxing and seen all across the world doeant mean the mixed martial arts hasnt proven to be far superior in actual fighting.

Tyson is better on big slower targets. Large size indeed is an disadvantage facing Tyson, and swift and agile opponents will pose more a threat to Tyson. It is quite situational, if Tyson could land a punch without being jabbed in the eyes or kicked in the sensitive parts, he would win.

Watch the Lee technique for a straight attacker...I think the weakness to it is circular movement, but Tyson was not that nor did he have any experience defending the lower area of the body. 90% of the moves in Japanese style Jujitsu is ineffective bullshit if it were that you meant. The finger jabs wouldn't work, considering the way Tyson moves his head. In a fight, I'll go with Mike Tyson. But I also respect Bruce's skill, abilities and his fighting philosophy especially, because they were ahead of his time. I am a big fan of both guys and I respect them both.
In a fight in general between a pro fighter vs a martial artist who regularly spars, the pro fighter would most probably win. It is because the pro fighter is used to getting hit back, a pro fighter is used to physical beating than an average man. A pro fighter is physically and mentally tougher in fights than a regular street fighter or a martial arts practitioner.
How much more if we talk about an elite pro fighter like Mike. There is no way that a regular martial arts practitioner would beat Mike. Not only that Mike could take a strong hit, but he also hits hard and fast. Mike is very explosive.
Bruce was athletic, has power, speed and good timing in sparring. But how well could he take a hit or a strike? Maybe against regular practitioners he could. But could he take a hit or a punch from a pro? Could he take a hit against an elite boxer like Mike? I don't think so.
How about Bruce's eye jab/finger jab, elbows or kicks or kicks to the groin, how will Mike deal with them? I am pretty sure Bruce won't land them on Mike that easy. Why? Because Mike is a fighter. He is both a pro fighter and was a street fighter, he knows how to deal with "anything goes" in a fight, even against weaponed opponents. Pro and seasoned fighters like Mike are smart in every aspect of fighting, even if the fight is not purely boxing, because being exposed to fighting developed their instincts to adapt in any situation related to fighting. Even if Mike gets hit with an eye jab or a groin shot, whatever, I am sure he will continue to fight back as long as he is alive and capable of finishing his opponent. It may stun him, but he will still fight back. As long as a pro fighter is alive, he will fight back and do his best to win.
Could Mike touch Bruce? Yes. I believe so. If Bruce's commits to strike Mike, he is also liable to get hit because it is a fight. Everybody gets hit in a fight unless it ends very early, such as when fast knockouts happen. If a fight lasts even just for a minute, surely both fighters will get hit by each other, unless one of them does not really want to commit to hurt the other.
How about Bruce's powerful side kick that could break the recepient's knee? Well, a side kick is a thrust kick. A thrust kick would only break a knee that easy if the knee is held straight up. If the knee is bend, a side kick won't break it. A boxer's knee is of course is slightly bent when fighting. A side kick won't break it.
This is just my opinion, I am just a regular guy, not a pro fighter, I am just a fan and I respect everybody else's view. I am not imposing my opinion. In a fight, I just think Mike wins against Bruce.

He was still trained for a while by one of Ip's top students, before leaving and gaining many accolades from far more accomplished fighters than myself. Street fight I say Bruce because he can pick up a pair of nunchucks or a stick...plus he mastered the art of groin kicks and leg kicks which a boxer wouldn't know how to defend because they don't have to train for it do to groin kicks and leg kicks being illegal in boxing.
