Thanks for the recognition! Working through those challenges definitely required persistence, but I'm thrilled with how everything turned out. It's always rewarding when you have them sigh of relief moments!"
great minds think alike, at first i was thinking do i really want to start unplugging things from the column, then i figured well wires shorting out had to be more of an interruption and laying upside down wasn't working out very well, disconnected the battery waiting for a bit just how they instruct with the air bag. so much easier and cleaner. i was able to seal the wires up neatly at that point
We all knew it was a chaffing wire but we thought it would be inside the steering wheel, some cars have a RECALL or TSB to secure the harness with some brackets and zip ties to hold the wires more securely and keep them from vibrating and rubbing, Thanks for this case study.
Super diag & repair. Always interesting but hopefully they are not all this difficult. Time is money and here’s hoping you also get many easier jobs as well.
The harder the job, the sweeter the victory, but you have a good point. its almost imposable to charge for all the time and not feel guilty, therefor most jobs like this set me back a little. Thanks for rooting for me!
I see GM also with those wire rubbing issues. These This engineers and designers make the wires long enough so they won't be touching stuff things would be a better
Its frustrating dealing with those wire rubbing issues, especially if they're happening with GM vehicles too. It seems like a simple fix for engineers and designers to ensure wires are long enough to avoid contact with other components. Better design can definitely prevent these kinds of problems.
Good job!
Thank you!
Thanks! Nice spot.
your welcome, man that was a sigh of relief moment lol
Great work and thank you for the video boss
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! the funny thing is that was my nickname in the industrial side of things lol Boss.
Never give up
Persistence is key! Keep pushing forward.
Tons of potential problems in that confined spot on the steering column. Persistence, once again, paid off. Nice work Will.

Nice repair Will, that harness won't come near that u-joint anymore!
Thanks! That repair should keep everything running smoothly now. No more worries about that harness causing any issues with the u-joint!
This was a satisfying one! Great diagnosis and fix! Thanks for sharing.
As soon as I saw the damage I was like "how is he going to get to those wires"? I'm glad they could be disconnected for access. Nice find!

Excellent will, there are mechanics, and then there are great mechanics like you!👌👍🌞☀️🇺🇸
thank you for recognizing my hard work! means a lot
Nice job, Will. That was an odd one. No parts required! 🤣
Thanks! That was definitely an odd situation! 😄 Ivan would be proud
Good work, Robinson. You sent that one out on its Edge again.
Sometimes you have to push things to the edge to get the best results! lol thanks for watching and taking the time
