This interview is powerful. Up there with my most favourite interviews. He told his life story so eloquently and kept it real. No ‘bragging’ or ‘feel sorry for me’ mentality. Just the facts 💯. There needs to be more support out there for our young people. For him to come out of prison and turn his life around, he is such a role model. This video should be shown in schools!! I wish Glodi a happy and successful, peaceful life. I hope his parents can now be proud of him xx

They can't just go get a job. There is only so many times their friends parents will let them sleepover.. so then what? If you dont have anyone else that will take you in.. an urban setting like that, you have few options. You can steal food to survive.. but then where do you sleep? You need money. So you can steal and sell things. You can sell yourself. Or you can sell drugs. The options are pretty limited. He also was from a foreign country, and probably didn't know about things like child welfare offices or social services. His parents throwing him out really just set him up to go down an even worse path. If they would have sat down with him, had an honest conversation about drugs and the consequences, what could happen, and disciplined him in a responsible way, his whole life could have been different. I don't blame any child for what they had to do to survive on the grimy ass streets of London, alone at 13 years old.

He’s parents failed him due to lack of knowledge not acknowledging they were in a totally different environment in England and not acknowledging the challenges they wouldn’t face in the Congo with him growing up is totally different here culturally getting caught smoking weed by African parents is a huge thing as an adult let alone a child in the home. They were absolutely wrong for kicking him out they clearly thought he will just come home and be remorseful hence they kept going to the police when they realised that wasn’t the case and the police didn’t do their job regarding him being a 13year old child who tells a child if you tell us you are ok we will leave you alone that sounds crazy but the system is built against him even without the predicament he found himself. He is a massive testimony of going through and not giving up

If he was educated by someone who acc cared for him he wouldn’t be who he is, at the end of the day he was a runner and the older only wanted to make ps and only really helped him when the situations was over just to keep a peace of mind because he knew you was already lost.

I'm glad I watched this. I expected this to be another damning video that paints the black person as a 'pure evil thug'. Well done for taking this video in another direction, and well done to the interviewee. He is a brave guy for doing this! 👏
More black criminals need to be open about how they get caught up in crime, and they need to be honest about the negative sides of being a criminal. Openness from men needs to be respected in the black community so they can feel comfortable enough to be open. They need to be given the opportunity and the right platforms - with the least amount of bias - to express themselves.
People need to appreciate that black criminals deal with mental, emotional and physical damage - just like any other non-black criminal - which facilitates turning to crime to make good money. *We need more videos like this in the media and fewer videos glorifying black-on-black violence.* Ignorant people will watch music videos encouraging the latter, and they'll view biased news stories and then conclude that 'all black people are inherently thuggish and emotionless'.
_Glorify_ the humanization of _all_ people, and _glorify_ being open about struggles. Black people have feelings, _just like_ any other race. They get bullied _just like_ every other race. *But, they are probably told to hide their pain **_more than_** any other race.*
Black people get called 'white' when they are educated, classy or well-spoken. Black men get called 'gay' if they are gentle and show emotions; they are likened to a female's genitalia if they don't react to disrespect in a way black people are shown to stereotypically react to it on so many media platforms. *Work needs to be done to help make the word 'black' synonymous with: patient, hard-working, trustworthy, protective, loyal, sympathetic, empathetic, and smart.*
More of the British government's funding needs to go towards mental health support, counselling, parental training, housing support, teaching assistance, learning difficulty/disability testing, teaching facilities, school expansions, and schooling for those with special education needs. These types of support are severely lacking in poorer borough sub-districts.
All humans deserve to be humanised! 🤖❌️

It's crazy to think that in so many cases police are just trying to get good media coverage, make arrest, get promotions etc instead of actually doing their jobs the legit and moral way. I really do hope that you're able to heal from all that you've been through, change your life for the better but this time with the support that you desearve and could have potentially saved you from going back to what you were doing when you were younger. You desearve to live the rest of your life as a free man, who is genuinely happy, supported, loved and I hope you find good people who want the best for you, genuinely care about your mental health and well-being. 🙏🏾🙏🏾

There’s no police and legal system jobs if there’s no crime. So it’s just meeting quotas and posturing and abusing powers. Sad system.

This is soo sad. I am so sorry about your story. Unfortunately, you mother especially failed you totally. Mother’s usually is the last to disown their children, but for her to throw you out at 14 years of age is unforgivable. May the Lord turn things around for better for you. ❤️❤️❤️

Exactly. Mother’s are the main ones who support their child/ren when everyone else gives up. I too wish him every success in the future.

The failure of the many systems, he passed through that could of made a difference to this young man is really saddening. It would of taken just one person to care and do something, his dad tried.

Thanks for sharing your story and giving people insight into what goes on in some young people’s lives . Although some might not deserved the human trafficking sentence, I believe it can still benefit children that are being forced to do county lines . Children are reported missing all the time and found in drug houses up country. Against their will. So although some agree to go , there are a lot that don’t have a choice .

Speaking from my own personal experiences not many people or kids are forced to sell drugs from the jump. If you think about it from a business point of view it, on a few different levels, it doesn’t make sense having unwilling staff. But saying that I’ve seen many people saying a lot of people or kids are forced so maybe it’s changed now 🤷🏾‍♂️

He didn’t deserve that human trafficking charge, the other guy just worked for their gang, willingly most-likely

In this case it sounds like the child was willing, in other cases they have no choice e.g. vulnerable children are targeted in chicken shops , someone will befriend them, buy them food etc and then they will owe a debt that they have to pay off . This would not be explained from the start . Shops have been identified and closed down due to this . Just think how many kids go to the chicken shop after school. Just need to teach them not to accept anything of anyone 😩 . Unfortunately there’s to many vulnerable children that don’t get the support they need.

This guy is a terrible person. And he’s told multiply lies. When he’s claiming he was homeless, he lived rent free for months near my sister block on Sunderland mount until he got arrested. He’s never been homelesss he ran away and his “dad” was looking for him. Another thing my kids witness. Why are people glorifying this lying drug dealer.
And isn’t it propaganda if you don’t find out all the information and just put out anything on social media for people to lap up.
Did anyone actually read the court documents in this vile specimen. He stripped and mentally disabled young man naked (who was working for him sell drugs) and put a gun in his mouth because he lost Glodi’s drugs. Can we not glorify these stains of the earth people.

Heartbroken 💔 made me think of my son who’s 13. He was only a baby still as much as they think they are growing up. He only did what he was taught by others who USED him he was their investment.
Glad he’s out and on track with his life doing fitness. What about the relationship with his parents now??
