I loved this video...until the part about things that cause highs. Everything, except for tubing clog and stress/illness, implies there's something the person did or didn't do to lead high blood sugar. There are many things a person has no control over -- hormones, protein/fat/carb ratio in meals, scar tissue, allergies, spoiled insulin...implying that highs are generally related to a mishap in meal planning or insulin dosing, or otherwise brought on by the person themselves (i.e. "eating more than usual") isn't overly helpful. It would have been *almost* perfect if it distinguished that sometimes the reason for high blood sugars can be pinpointed...but, sometimes, it can't -- and that's just part of the diabetes experience. On that note, there's more reasons for low blood sugars too.
Would love to see JDRF try again.

I am an RN that works with children with Type 1. Type 1, as the video says, is an autoimmune disease. Just like Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, hashimotos autoimmune disease means their own immune system attacks their beta cells on the pancreas that produce insulin. There is not one thing that they eat that has caused it. These families suffer and struggle daily with this horrid disease, lets not add unnecessary guilt and hurtful comments. These children and adults with this disease will DIE without insulin. We all would. Please educate yourself, listen to those that know and think before you say something hurtful to those that suffer with this daily.

I am also an RN. I was diagnosed with MS in 2007. In January 2021, I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I had Covid in the hospital. Having 2 autoimmune diseases feel so surreal now. Thanks for your great comment. So spot on!

Can type 1 diabetics be cured by stem cells treatment or by artificial pancrea replacement? In which way can type 1 diabetics cured? Was the person born with type 1 diabeties? Only this year my unstabke blood sugar has been getting worsen eg: more dizziness, confusion sometimes responding slowly, no much sharp thinking like before, less concentrated, droswy head, headache, nausused, vidion changed as part of aging as well, some times blurred vision, one time feeling hot, then sooner felt chills, on and off short of breathe , of course experiencing my post menaupose as very grumpy ,nasty, nagging. But my dad had type 2 duabetics discoverred at age 60 years old, very skinny. My type 1 diabetics has been greatly affecting my normal daily routines ,very furious because left my type 1 diabetics untreated so long

Do you take long acting insulin such as lantus or levemir. I know this was a year ago, but just checking. If you don't see your endocrinologist or if not your local doctor to make some changes.

You don't need to see your doctor to make changes, but you need to tell them about your changes. So increase by 10% daily until your blood sugars are under control. (That's long acting, but you can change short acting by 10% if you're spiking only after meals.).

The key to eliminate diabetes is truly to treat the root cause by the all natural remedy, not by typical treatment as they simply just bring the temporary results.

Do some research Kima. The pancreas stops making insulin. NO FOOD can cause a type 1 diabetic to start making insulin in their pancreas again.
