for the apres tips, you don't need to fill the entire nail with gel or polygel. Apres tips are made to just be filled where your natural nail is, and then have a top coat underneath. And also, it's actually a lot easier to work with a longer tip when curing it onto your natural nail, THEN trimming and shaping. If you cut it beforehand, you risk making it too short. Another tip is to try to not mix brands as much as possible. For example, dont use brand A basecoat with brand B gel/polygel, and then brand c gel polish, and then brand d top coat.
I was wondering about the filling of the entire nail thing because everything I have seen shows applying the gel just where your natural nail is. Now, I will say her nails look fire.
I have the same efile but do you ever find sometimes it’s hard to change the bits ?? Sometimes I can’t pull them back out. so I’m thinking of upgrading it for that reason

I think shes just using what she has on hand. The apres nails come in a kit with the base and extend gel (builder gel) but shes mixing systems. I just bought the apres in medium sculpted round since its so hand for me to shape round/almond! I will be using olry gel fx and other ph/bonder etc, it should work. Since the nails are made of gel they should adhere/bond to most systems. I think ive heard that acrylic and the diff gel systems are basically the same chemical/product but slightly different forms.
you can use any base coat. cheaper ones would be the beetles base coat. it works very well. i use it when i do my nails and mine lasts for 4-5 weeks depending on when i want to change it up and how much i use my hands at work

Might as well get some nail molds and rehuse them if you’re gonna work with polygel. Gel x tips works well with a thick base coat. Your design is super cute.
I was going to get the kiara sky gelly starter kit but I’m not going to anymore since I have wider nail beds and their nails run small. I’m going to get the apres but I’m confused if I should get the Sculpted or natural nails. I think I have flat nail beds but I’m not sure. Please help!

Why are you putting poly gel all along the inside of your tips? They’re both their own type of enhancement. Yes you can use a tip as a dual form for the shape but you are supposed to remove the tip and then you’re left with the poly gel nail enhancement. Lol you’re like making way more work for yourself. You can use poly gel and builder gel in place of glue but again they are all nail enhancements in their own right, not MEANT to be used together. They CAN be butt don’t HAVE to be and aren’t MEANT to be. You are not getting BETTER results by mixing products.

There is a difference, they're two different nail products and I just prefer polygel with the apres x extensions because I find it easier!

Poly gel is easier to use in my opinion! I don’t get air bubbles like when I use the extend gel from Apres

No these aren’t nail forms, they’re full cover gel x nails from Apres. They actually are meant to stay on!
