Henry Winkler is living proof that being nice doesn't mean you're dumb. Bill Maher is living proof that being mean doesn't mean you're smart. The man doesn't know the meaning of the word indiscriminate.
You mean "acting" nice. Using your celebrity to support a murderous gangster regime such as Netanyahu's... ? That precludes you from the designation of "being" nice. Also, Henry Winkler a stupid asshole... as proved by his ignorance of what he is saying in the face of what is going on in Palestine. He is just another shallow power-worshipper who believes that you can have peace while slow genocide is being perpetrated... made much worse in the face of this most recent ramping up of that policy.
The problem is, it’s obvious the only “history” Maher knows consists of the sanitized propaganda that his generation (and mine) grew up with: all Israelis are virtuous, peace-loving heroes who never did any harm to the savage, uncivilized Arabs except to protect themselves and their nation.

The Prime Minister who was killed a couple of years ago pushed to to re build their military. The ideas of that got them into the war in the first place are still around.

Unlike Jews, Arabs have always had many Arab countries to live in and they were never a persecuted minority. Jews were persecuted everywhere, in Europe, in Arab countries, in their own ancestors land of Israel by Arabs. So there's a reason that antisemitism is deep hatred for the Jews. And the only country the Jews built for themselves is hated throughout the world, attacked by many countries and the hate towards Jews in the US and Europe is growing quickly and that is a very dangerous situation.
The entire reason comes back to the teachings of islam and their tolerant peaceful pdfile prophet mohoomod (shahih al bhukari 5134): Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him." Bill Maher genuinely believes he's smarter than Henry Winkler and it's hilarious to watch - it's like Henry is humouring a small child so he doesn't have a tantrum!
Bill is not the brightest, he should look into the diaper force snipers wearing shirts depicting pregnant Muslim women with the caption “one shot two kills”, or go watch the iz real media program harretz where a government official along with the news, broadcasters debated and advocated that graping gazan hostages should be legal, or check out the podcast by the “two nice chew-wish boys” where they said they didn’t give a shit about gazan children dying of polio, and going to a concert on the border of their open air prison, and knowing people were suffering on the other side, made the concert experience more enjoyable for them, and the host talking about how he would erase everyone in Gaza at the push button immediately if you could. Then he can get back to his fan base to pontificate about the mental health of the society he’s trying to advocate for

This is not necessarily proof that you cannot kill an idea, all it says is the lengths America went to to eradicate those ideas were not enough , therefore could it ever be justified to go to those lengths considering what it could conceivably take in those specific instances, Gaza and Israel is contextually different , so you would need to nuance those specifics, but I think you could still apply the “ could those lengths ever be justified” logic. HIs statement "...and Japan became our friend" should have been met with, "Do you think that would have happened if we'd sent Americans over there to colonize the country because we'd decided it should belong to us?"
We actually did send Americans over there to colonize the country. Sort of. Allied forces occupied Japan for about seven years after WW2 and committed a LOT of war crimes with total impunity. Thefts, murders, extortion and terrorism were perpetrated on civilians in retaliation for the war. Japan even started recruiting young women to work as prostitutes as an 'offering' of sorts to keep the Allied troops from attacking every woman and child they came across (It sort of worked). The Allies also made changes to Japan's Constitution, military structure and economy to benefit themselves, even if it could be detrimental to Japan. Not all of the changes were bad, but they were self-serving. Luckily for Japan, the US was simultaneously occupying the Southern half of Japan's former colony, Korea and the USSR occupied the northern half, so the Allies were soon distracted by the Korean War and trotted off to terrorize Asians there instead.
This is so gross. I’m so sick of civility politics. Winkler should be treating Maher with complete contempt and mocking him for engaging in absolute cruelty and showing his inhumanity.

I really hated how he tried to compare such fundamentally different situations The difference between imperial japan and Palestine is that Japan could bounce back after the war, after the bombs were dropped most Japanese people realized that no matter what they did America would win so they put their efforts into rebuilding their country, Palestinians don't have anything to bounce back to, winning this war against Israel is their only ticket to dignity because Israel has proved time and time again that they won't stop if there is a ceasefire

Bill talks about antisemitism like it's only a Jewish thing. Arabic people are also Semitic people.
And Ethiopian people too!
It’s a label that has been hijacked by a group of people - used to silence anybody who dares to objects to their injustices and countless atrocities
This is absolutely true! People don't want to believe me when I've said this. Jews and Arabs are both Semitic peoples.
The entire reason comes back to the teachings of islam and their tolerant peaceful pdfile prophet mohoomod (shahih al bhukari 5134):
Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. "O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him."

The Japanese on Okinawa aren’t too happy about the US base they’ve got to live with.
We retooled Japanese society to benefit us, why didn’t we do that to Germany…racism?

Yes, I think intelligent people know how to listen.
I can't watch this. My god Bill Maher is warped.
Bill Maher has lost all credibility.
You can't lose something you never had.
Love Henry Winkler. Glad to see he’s still in good health and sharp as a tac. One of the good guys.
Henry Winkler is a class act, and a national treasure. I would have been far less 'polite' when confronting Maher over his bullshit.
Henry Winkler is a humble genius 😍
Henry Winkler is right in everything he said. Well done Henry 👍
Thanks for this Sam. Greetings from 🇮🇪
"Naziism" being dead as an idea is a wild take; we talk about it practically every day. Even if actual self professed nazis weren't marching in the streets all over the world, it's invaded our pop culture in the form of constant WWII media, we still read and write essays about it, people constantly accuse their political opponents of being similar to them
Nationalism is an ideology older than its nomenclature. To claim it’s dead is ignorance or downright dishonest.
He is obviously talking about it in the sense that it is dead in the form of political power.
@@andbandlast even then tho
there are strong fascist tendencies everywhere you look, a pres. candidate spewing lies derived from a literal neo-nazi group at a debate on national TV is just the tip of the iceberg.
Also, if the nazis were so dead after ww2 where did the cia, nasa, you name it get all their employees from?
Shout out to all the German Nazis that lost the war and their power but remained ideologically- committed Nazis until they died of old age. You know, huge numbers of them.
Mad respect for Henry
More and more hatred for Bill
Seeing Bill get schooled by Henry, about world events on his own show is not something I knew I needed in my life, but what a class act Henry is.
Haha! Well said!
Me too!
Henry, you are dead on! Bill, listen for once! Respect Henry Winkler 🙏❤️
The antisemitism comes from Hamas? But Hamas is a creation of the Netanyahu regime. So... where does the antisemitism come from?
Wow... these guys are really jerkin eachother off here... @13:17 I feel all dirty just watching it.
In a historical sense, antisemitism probably has its origin in the Jewish revolts against the Roman empire, which infuriated the Romans and gave the Jews a bad reputation everywhere the Romans ruled.
from the jews being disgusting and normal people not being able to help themselves, that's where it comes from.
Exactly when and how Netanyahu regime created Hamas? Dates and sources, please
Im white, from america. Totally anti jew. Hamas has never even sent me a brochure
I love Henry Winkler, he did not let me down. I have seen everything he has been in & I am thankful he did not disappoint me. He is as smart & as kind as I always believed he was. A talented good human being.
The way he was looking at Maher and saying ok shows that he doesn’t like to argue with idiots and knows when to stop to save his sanity
Well he’s got more self control than I would have!
5:27 'Japan became our good friend ' says Maher .
Japan also never really apologize for warcrimes to the countries they invaded ....
Now compare Japan and the German State
"Any other country" wouldn't have been criticized, Bill? So, if North Korea had attacked South Korea years ago after South Korean agents bumbingly attempted to assassinate Kim Jong Il, the international community would have been totally supportive of the North? How about Cuba had ever reliated against the US for the latter's involvement in any of 638 assassination plots against Fidel Castro between 1960 and 2000? Maybe try reading up on this stuff, Bill.
"In WW2, we did not kill nazism"
Bill: Yeah we did 🤪
We literally did not. Fascism is still alive and well today in some cases. You're just too smooth-brained to get that, Bill. You and Sam Harris.
Bill is really just anti-arab. He hates anti-semetism from arabs, but not from white people
Out of all the dumb s**t maher said here, that's prolly the dumbe$t... Butit shows just how delusionally clueless, outta touch w reality he is.
Sane ppl like the Fonz should AVOID his show like a plague.
44% of this country is going to vote for a facist.
"It's back in nearly every country"
"Just, but just small groups"
Yeah... that's still it being alive, Bill. If it was dead, there wouldn't even be small groups. Don't move the fucking goal posts, man.
Right "oh its on the fringes" No Bill its winning elections and forcing unnatural coalitions to keep fascists out of power in major nations. And then "Project 2025" is a straight up fascist agenda that has a real shot at forming government in the US at the next election.
I always find it disgusting when some tv-show-personality (like Bill Maher, not the Fonz) appears on a tv show, smoking a cigar, sitting in his fancy chair, and speaks of killing thousands of people, praising the army of the country who is commiting a genocide to "defend" themselves, with the ease of a person playing Risk on a sunday afternoon in his house. If Hannah Arendt would come alive today she would probably write a book called: "Maher in his fancy tv show set: A Report on the Banality of Evil".
i like the elephant graveyard video about him tormenting bella thorne. its kinda like that but not a book it a video . hehe
Yes! It is sickening
I met Henry Winkler in 1993 in North Hollywood as he was coming out of synagogue and I was walking home from grabbing a couple of burritos. Very nice, humble, and gentle man.
The Israeli regime never had any interest in rescuing the hostages.
Remember, Israel knew about the attacks before hand. Played right into Bibis hands. Excuse for genocide!
Love and respect for Mr. Henry Winkler.
In one moment, Maher says that the IDF tries not to hit civilians with bombs. The next moment, he says the bombing is indiscriminate. Which is it Bill? You can't have it both ways, as hard as you may try.
They've been getting it both ways for as long as i exist.
@@deathtoraiden2080 That!
Maher is as arogant at the same time as delusional as Netanyahu, and as rude with his interuptions as Piers Morgan.
Henry Winkler might actually be cooler than the Fonz. Maher is the guy who's job is being a talking head about politics for DECADES yet Winkler has shown more critical thinking skills and actual sophistication than Maher.
This rhetoric from Bill is absolutely vile its so disheartening that we learned absolutely nothing from WW2 collectively as a people
I used to like Bill ,until October 7, found out who he really is, like a lot of other people
The number of people that have allowed Maher to get away with this nonsense is startling.
In the very long list of creatures Americans allowed to get away with things, this bozo ranks very low (for now)
What always suprises me is when they say but hamas are embedded in the population.well yeah of course they are...its literally 25k long..its onevof the most densely populated places on earth.
Maybe bill’s time is coming. It wont be jordan peterson , for example , to put bill in his place. Lol
@@tomgallagher7870 people think war is supposed to be like the old days where soldiers were in trenches shooting back and forth at each other.
It's great seeing The Wink step up like this but it is SO hard to listen to Bill Maher talk he's so insufferable; how can someone be so wrong and yet so egotistical about it?
Ah yes Bill, the Magical Army That Doesn't Kill Civilians but also Sherman Burned Down Atlanta This Is War.

Answer: He’s American.
@@spockolaexactly he's just very tetchy and sensitive to disagreement but it doesn't add up.
Ever talked to a flat earther? Getting mocked by some smug idiot calling me a "globe head" did psychic damage.
Defeating Nazis & the imperial Japanese was trying to convince them to stick to their own borders and stop massacring minorities… defeating Hamas means attempting to convince Palestinians that they should never try to have human rights or have their own sovereign territory. It’s not complicated
I really hated how he tried to compare such fundamentally different situations
The difference between imperial japan and Palestine is that Japan could bounce back after the war, after the bombs were dropped most Japanese people realized that no matter what they did America would win so they put their efforts into rebuilding their country, Palestinians don't have anything to bounce back to, winning this war against Israel is their only ticket to dignity because Israel has proved time and time again that they won't stop if there is a ceasefire
Condemning Hamas would be the same as condemning the warsaw ghetto uprising, i find it hilarious that people try and distance themselves from Hamas when history will view them the same as the vietnamese liberation forces.
It would be a wild (and horrific) alternate history if Germany stopped after annexing Austria and just performed the holocaust in their own country. I doubt the world as it existed in 1939 does anything about it.
@@airplanes_aren.t_real Japan bounced back with our help. Israel is only able to keep killing with our help. That dynamic needs to change.
Bill cannot and will not ever acknowlege that.
Thank you
You can't call it defense when you are illegally occupying someone else's land. Call it what you will, but it's not defense, it's murder. -Noam Chomsky
Very well pointed out by Norm & appropriately highlighted by you sir!!!!
Winkler was way too polite
I think he gave the buffoon the time and space to speak his mind, to spill out all his bile, so that his ignorant rant could be affirmed to the world for posterity. Sort of like Kamala staying quiet during Trump's most insane ranting spells. You let the fool, even encourage him, to bury himself.
Well he's a nice guy.
Props to the Fonz. I would not be able to stay polite and calm while a monster boldy lies right to my face.
A monster?

I had a Palestinian roommate in college who was super nice. This was back in 2011. My Jewish step grandma refused to acknowledge that I had a roommate from Palestine. She acted like she didn't exist. Bill Maher knows nothing.
@@youngandrestlessjean3634 That’s actually really sick. Good to hear that you are better than that 🍀
@wolfiesown I was close with my step grandmother and I genuinely valued her opinion but when she ranted about how there is no Palestine and those people don't exist, well it really made me realize that zionism is some form of an elitist cult, and it broke my heart to hear her talk like that. My roommate was very honest about her life in Palestine, and Israel has always made things difficult for Palestinians.
Every Palestinian I know is a lovely person. To paint them all with a terrorist brush is sickening and I will never stand for it. Bill is deplorable. Good thing he's a childless cat lady.
@@youngandrestlessjean3634 yes… difficult for you I guess. I am convinced that many good people would not be Zionist and have a different opinion if they actually knew the truth.
It's been a long campaign to dehumanize Palestinians. If you hadn't had that Palestinian roommate and seen their humanity, you might believe your step grandmother. You wouldn't know any better.
