Thrift stores, another good place to get cheap PCs. I would say using something from a ready to go PC from large companies, I would say there's almost always something proprietary.
There can be some great value in some older work PCs, however you have to factor in the adapters and jank needed to get some Dell and HP to work :) Were you tempted to switch the GPU ? Gtx 970s are quite cheap now, would easily fit within the PSU wattage and give significantly more performance. Wonder whether the extra expense would be worth it ?
Yes the adapters killed me on the price… lol The only reason I didn’t go with a better GPU is because this CPU cannot run the new Call of Duty or any game that requires AVX. You could definitely get some better performance on Apex and Fortnite with a better GPU.
