I get a kick out of your ramblings. You are quite funny. It's good to see you posting again. I love to see what u feature and I'm glad to see these machines still in use. Yes, it's outdated tech but I seriously enjoy my vhs collection. I know where to come when I need my next vcr. So glad they are being saved from landfills. We throw away so much that could still be enjoyed.
I've used this before! The DVD part doesn't work anymore, however the VCR part works fine still! That VCR loading mechanism sound brings back memories!
I find it funny how on a lot of these combo units, the component and s-video outputs only work with the DVD player, you have to use composite to use the VCR. What’s the point of it being a combo if it’s only a combo with a certain output (which also happens to be the lowest-quality one)? I guess maybe you could use a composite cable and a component or s-video cable and then plug both of them into the TV, but the DVD player still works through the composite cable, so what’s the point of the component or s-video cable? Maybe I’m missing something…
No totally! It's so dumb lol, and it's definitely not impossible to do! I wonder if it was just cheap to make it so VHS only outputs to composite. There are a few units out there where the VHS can output to component but they're tough to find.
my only issue with buying these wonders is that when it breaks or smt i just dont know how to fix it, i have some VHS here and i am scared shitless of them stop working and i have ZERO CLUE how to fix it, same with CRT tvs, i have like 3 of them, if someday they just stop working for any reason, i will prob cry for hours from dispair

If there was a model 8500k or similar with a digital output, it would be possible to use it as I did and made a DAF to improve the sound
Very nice combo player. Can you share with us how your DVD-VCR has turned out so far?
You should review Panasonic DMP-BD70V
Its a Blu-Ray player plus a vcr
