I tried Resolve myself and found the lack of support for mp4 and webm video formats poor, it would take more time converting the videos before I could edit them. But thanks for the video
Finally a video that showcases actual use cases rather than discussing hypotheticals. I love the pauses deletion in Premiere, I was thinking a while back how nice it would be to add that feature in media players. Sometimes I just want to crunch through something, and skipping silence and "uhm"-s would save lots of time,
Some podcast players like pocketcasts have "remove silence" features, with a dial for intensity! I personally listen to podcasts for more enjoyment but for informational ones you might find it helpful
I'm skeptical about the whole pause thing because I do a lot of long form videos and sometimes I want to keep a pause for a natural pace. I think there's going to be an art form and doing things without AI that AI will never be able to replace but at least it will be a good starting point, in fact it probably would be an incredible starting point with AI. But you won't know where are the natural pauses are if you have ai remove them so I don't know how much I really like that feature personally yet

I have just had the exact same Premiere editing workflow for like 8 years and literally only use the same basic functions / tools, so it's cool to see updates like this when new features get added because I just don't try them for myself for some reason 😅
The main reason I use Descript is the automatic gap removal and automatic filler word removal. That saves SO MUCH TIME and Resolve and Premiere don't have that.
Woooow, that ability to clip from the transcript is super cool. I don't do vids with much talking in them, but I can see how that would completely change the workflow for so, so many people.

I just went through this saying "edited it" dilemma this morning with my daughter while driving her to school. Turns out it's contagious because she started having trouble saying it as well. Thank you for the vids btw. They're helping me wrap my head around the app. Just started trying to learn how to edit videos on PP a few weeks ago, but I'm over sub products in general these days. Learned of Davinci while searching for a tutorial on something and decided I'd switch since I haven't invested to much in Adobe yet.
You have this amazing ability to make complex topics so approachable and fun! And can we talk about the sound design? Oh my goodness, it was on point! 🎧 It felt like the audio itself was doing a happy dance in my ears. You've definitely got some serious creative wizardry going on there. Keep up the fantastic work, Sara! Your videos are like a ray of sunshine in the UA-cam universe, and I can't wait to see what other incredible content you have in store for us. You're a rockstar! 🌈🎥✨
for Autopod, you need to have each video track to ONLY have the audio of the people in it; so cam1 is guest, needs guest only audio, cam2 is podcaster, needs podcaster audio only, cam3 is total and needs both audio from guest and podcaster. Let's say there are 3 guests, cam1 guest1, cam2 guest 2 and 3, and cam3 is podcaster, you'd need video1 to have guest1 audio only, video2 to have guest 2 and guest 3 audio only and video3 to have podcaster audio only. Nowhere does it say that and that would have saved me few hours of frustration. Aside from that it's really good stuff. had to go and buy premiere because of it. Now I'm doing editing in premiere and then import the timeline into davinci for grading and audio

I just watched your first video. I am really impressed the way you speak , that passion... your expressions and enthusiasm..no doubt there is good editing effects..but man..your personality is mesmerising!
I used to work as a video editor. It is insane how long it can take. Used to drive me crazy how long effects would take to render too. I quit because it started to get boring, though guess different if you are editing your own content. Pleased these are better editing tools available now Yay 🙂 Thanks for sharing
The best part of Chat-GPT's hallucinations is that it WILL gaslight you if you question it. Me: I only asked you to edit what I gave you. Why did you add all this extra information that isn't true? GPT: I only used the information you provided me. As a bonus bit of creepiness, a little later in the same conversation it asked me, "What is GPT-3.5?"... basically the equivalent of "What am I?" When asked why it asked, it apologized and said it did not intend to ask me, because it already knows what it is... It chalked the question up to "a mistake or a glitch in [its] system." It's a ton of fun to play with, and it can be useful, but you definitely want to keep in mind that it has a knowledge cutoff (it only knows things from the data it was trained on, so it doesn't know about anything that happened *after* its creation), that the results it gives you can only be as good as the question/request you gave it (look up "prompt engineering" for more info on that), and that it will at times actively attempt to damage your career by providing fake info lol. Sure, that's not intended behaviour and Chat-GPT isn't aware that it is even doing it, but it still feels personal when it treats you like you're crazy after you point what it did! Always proofread and fact check whatever it gives you and you'll be fine. And don't bother trying to teach it more appropriate behaviour; it doesn't learn from its interactions with you since its training was set in stone when it was created. (Though, your conversation data may get used to train a future iteration of GPT.)
I work a lot with 3D rendering and Apple lost it quite some time ago. I don't know what the fight between Apple and Nvidia was all about but basically if you do any kind of creative things Nvidia is currently the only way to go. Not good for the prices without competition (AMD cards also are a no-go). Just be sure that if you switch platform you don't get the advice from a happy reseller you need a workstation CPU and GPU (that's the Nvidia Axxx serie, old Quadro). Those workstations cost way more for way less performance, better get a game computer with fast CPU and 40xx card.
Great video Sara, I love your content. I feel like these AI tools will change everything, and to be honest they are really helpful for running my dropshipping business (Especially when today I can use them combined with powerful tools like WinnerZilla for everything products related because Chat GPT can't give winners so far on a regular basis). It's really helpful, ever since I started using it I have constant traffic on my site, and conversion rate is really good.
Lately my experience has been the opposite on windows... Premier is really stable, much faster than Resolve and uses waaaay less VRAM. And Resolve crashed twice in one day. Havent used Resolve on mac, but Premier works flawlessly on that as well.
Person who is not a writer: "Wow, look what ChatGPT helped me to create, and I'm not even a writer!" Writer: "Yah, your excitement kind of betrayed that." This is one of the blind spots in generative AI reviews. It's like comparing a review of the Tesla semi from a gear-head with one from a long-haul truck driver. Generative AI for anything past research (and there are some companies going there reliably) is really not a time-saver. A good writer or editor could spend 30 minutes between prompts and re-direction getting an AI to write a 1,000-word piece (really need to aim for about 1,500 to make up for how much politician-speak fluff they will have to cut). They are then going to spend another 30-45 minutes editing that into something passable (won't trip AI detectors and is concise and interesting enough to hold an audience). Conversely, taking the same sheet of raw information that was fed to the AI, the person who could turn that AI piece into something usable in 45 minutes could just write the entire thing themselves in the same amount of time, and still have a better end product. No, AI is not going to turn writers into editors. It will turn non-writers into passable writers/editors. It will enable people who are photo and video folks to come up with decent filler content, the same way AI video tools will enable a writer to produce something decent from just their words. It will even save substantial time on research (which is about 90% of the time sink of writing). It will give non-experts an edge, and experts an edge on what are, for them, tangential tasks. But, just like a really good video editor is going to have to go back over AI-cut footage and start realizing it would be faster in some cases to get the best end-result by just making all the cuts themselves, writing is not just about filling space, and thinking you can just get away with editing AI content will lead some companies to pay much more for the end product of an AI-and-editor than they would pay to just use a writer to hand something to their editor that only takes them 10 minutes to get into final shape rather than an hour.

Would be awesome if someone got an eye detection so it would cut to the camera where you look at.. This would be killer for lives too!

ohmygosh. I've been using Descript A TON the last few months and it has saved me a lot of time for some of my online course editing, but it wasn't ready for prime time for UA-cam stuff. Adobe rolling out these new features is game changing (and it will save me $30/month 🤣)
Premiere Pro blew my mind with the whole "transcribe sequence" like talk-to-text for video editing in reverse. I love it. So when I setup to shoot a multi-cam unboxing video, with this new method I can quickly see where I screw up, highlight, and delete. This is awesome. I'm not a fan of using Beta versions while working on a massive project. But I cannot wait until it goes live in the CC version. Thanks Sara!!!

Does auto pod only work if you have multi track audio? If I use a shotgun microphone from one camera, but I have four camera angles how will it decide to split up the audio if there’s only one audio file connected to microphone
18 months from now: you just feed the raw video into the editor, and it spits out what you want. Humans interacting deeply with software becomes a thing of the past because the software already knows what you're trying to do. And does it.
Thanks for the information. Good to know. I'd appreciate a video about how to minimize the distraction that results when using silence detection causes numerous jarring, awkward jump cuts because of noticeable changes in hand movements and facial expressions. Some possibilities might be how to use J and L cuts or covering with b-roll. Thanks for you time and attention to this issue.
OK am downloading Da Vinci Resolve 18.5 right now, just hoping Autopod gets made available for this software soon...I spent A WHOLE DAY making clips with manual subtitles the other week, I never want to go through that pain again. Thanks again for the gift of time!!
Autopod is amazing. I downloaded the trial and I’m probably going to get a full licence. Editing a 3 camera 1+ hour podcast normally took a couple hours to edit, with that…literally less than 3 minutes on my crappy computer.
Nearly half of this video is ads. The rest - explanation of features most video editors already know. And using ChatGPT has nothing to do with actual videoediting - it is for script writing in terms of media content creation. And say, Sara, can you give a single example of NVidia Studio drivers - the ones your video starts with - effectiveness in comparison with ordinaruy Game ready drivers?
Every time I've tried to go to resolve in the past I felt like the workflow just wasn't intuitive coming from premiere. But I completely hate Adobe and every year I find myself losing so much time with regarding their bugs that I pay for and help them fix. I have so many projects that I've already started in Premiere that I don't know how to get away from it and transition over to resolve. I would save so much money if I could just go to resolve. It's been probably a year and a half since I've toyed with resolve. Anyone have any suggestions on how I can get my feet wet with getting a good workflow going? I only use Davinci resolve right now, is the AUTOPOD plugin works in Davinci as well ?
hey i like this creator.
the way you talk just like a friend, who's really ambitious with helping their friends out.
i trust you. :))
Thankfully I only need Rough Cut video software.
from the first 40 seconds and I fell in love with the hand movements like an Italian does.....LOL
Does auto pod only work if you have multi track audio? If I use a shotgun microphone from one camera, but I have four camera angles how will it decide to split up the audio if there’s only one audio file connected to microphone
Oh man this looks so good. Thank you for sharing. It makes me feel like I’m missing out as an FCP user!
Feel this! Right there with you
Wow... Luar biasa Ai sangat membantu dalam pembuatan konten yang menakjubkan... Terima kasih Sara🎉🎉🎉
18 months from now: you just feed the raw video into the editor, and it spits out what you want. Humans interacting deeply with software becomes a thing of the past because the software already knows what you're trying to do. And does it.
is there a tool like autopod for davinci resolve ?
I am looking for it too, but I think there is not an alternative
Thanks for the information. Good to know. I'd appreciate a video about how to minimize the distraction that results when using silence detection causes numerous jarring, awkward jump cuts because of noticeable changes in hand movements and facial expressions. Some possibilities might be how to use J and L cuts or covering with b-roll. Thanks for you time and attention to this issue.
Amazing tools :) Thanks for the video 🙏🕊
Holy MOLY - Autopod could change my life! Thanks so much for this video, Sara - I have to seriously consider ditching FCPX now...
@@ToddDeSilva amazing!!!
Insane stuff! Glad I found your channel as I am new to this world! Thanks again!
Are there any tools to speed up the color grading? Maybe I overload Resolve but it takes ages to render color grades
Do AutoPod plug in works only with Premiere?
Only with premiere unfortunately 🙃
Thanks for the Gling shoutout, Sara 🤩
Nearly half of this video is ads. The rest - explanation of features most video editors already know. And using ChatGPT has nothing to do with actual videoediting - it is for script writing in terms of media content creation. And say, Sara, can you give a single example of NVidia Studio drivers - the ones your video starts with - effectiveness in comparison with ordinaruy Game ready drivers?
Thank you. I was bored to tears. I suspect people just find the host fun and attractive and hence all the positive comments.
09:03 Now that's how you cut a podcast. 10:32 lol That was funny, Great video!!
Can you also perform this feature on a multi camera sequence? 1 Person(talent) four different camera angles?
13:55 how to get this menu and where is it? in edge?
insane AI Tools. very well done and super innovative.
I feel like it would be so much easier if someone could just watch how I edit and then say this is how you do it and resolve...
thought on a razer blade laptop vs your laptop for editing purposes?
i'm not a commentor i guess lol more a lurker so i use AI Bing to how do i say nice about this video lol
bing AI responding with this
I see. That sounds like an interesting video. Here are some possible comments you can write:
1 This video is amazing! I love how you showed the power of AI tools and creative minds working together. You are truly an inspiration!
2 Wow, this video blew my mind! I learned so much about AI tools and how they can enhance creativity. Thank you for sharing your insights and skills!
3 What a fantastic video! I’m impressed by how you used AI tools to create such amazing works of art. You have a great talent and vision!
So the text based editor in Premier Pro makes Descript obsolete?
I use Descript SOLELY for the Studio Sound feature. Does DaVinvi or Premiere have something similar? It has been a lifesaver for dirty lav cleanup!
It seems nobody can tell the difference between AI and ML, or just plain programming. Now, anything that is neat, and works well, we call AI! Yay!
Sara how does Final Cut Pro compare to Resolve? not sure if you've done such comparison?
First of all. That's not an asus duo. I'm cool with the rest of the content. Keep it up
Great video. What were you using for the writing demo that you did? Thanks.
This thumbnail goes hard
This is pretty useful. I'm subscibing straightaway. Love your content
can you make a video about how you make your workflow so minimal? i mean the windows/panel inside danvici and premiere. :D
Sara... if my clients ever find out how much time I am saving because of you.... 😂
Great Video! I know almost nothing about video editing compared to this! Great that you posted this video! 💯. I'm now deciding between those first two software editing tools you just showcased. Thank you!
AutoCutring the video for the podcast. That was 🔥
