      @@Eraz Hi, welcome to my channel. Yup you are correct. pump should always run at full or at 80%, but some choose to run them way below 80% and have it fluctuate consistently. I have bad experience before and have changed the habbit not to run pump at PWM mode which is based on temperature.

    As I mentioned in one of your other videos: I wish the Lian Li manual would make these things a bit clearer. For example: It doesn't specify what header you should plug the fixed PWM-cable into that comes from the waterblock. Only says "4 pin PWM" in the manual, IIRC. I just checked my board's manual and, sure enough, its CHA_FAN headers provide 1A each while the CPU_FAN header supplies 2A and the CPU_PUMP header gives up to 3A.
    The manual also doesn't make clear that the AIO's PWM cable is what's supplying power to the pump. I was suspecting it might just be on there to provide a PWM-signal or to prevent the motherboard from freaking out when there's no fan-connector plugged into the CPU FAN or CPU PUMP headers. Thanks for clarifying that it's actually the PWM-cable and NOT the SATA connection that powers the pump.

    Not looking to get an AIO nonetheless I always do like me some cooler tests 🤓! So🙏
    A minor suggestion and/or tip about sensor readout presentation.
    If u want a better way to display the sensor stats with customizable font, font-size, and font-color as a simple OSD (On Screen Display)👌. AIDA64 Extreme has that nifty OSD feature, as u can set a hotkey making toggling it on/off quick and easy🙌. Completely eliminating the hassle of using HWiNFO64 and hooking into another process to get the “in-game” HW monitoring overlay to display stats 😉. AIDA64 Extreme is very well suited for for displaying specific stats in a way that HWiNFO64 simply can’t. Not only that you’re also able to configure a transparent, semitransparent or even opaque background directly behind the stats to make it fit the specific presentation scenario, with or without small HW identifying icons as well🤓👌. AIDA64 in my experience have had hardware sensor support parity with HWiNFO64. Tested with 5 different models of motherboards and 3 different GPUs.
    Don’t get me wrong..I love HWiNFO64! As I’m daily driving HWiNFO64 I’ve also customized it to make it really nice and cool looking with the primary purpose to greatly improve the user experience. I’ve configured the sensor presentation changing the font, font-size, and font-color, regrouping the sensors in a more intuitive way.
    Anyway enough of me rambling about irrelevant shit🫠
    Cheers m8!
    ✌️🖖

    I have a 5950x system with 128 Gb of ram (corsair vengeance RGB RT), a RTX 4090 gpu, 011 Dynamic XL and the Trinity II Performance. My AIO worked for all of 8 days then the pump failed. Everything was connected correctly. I am currently waiting on a replacement from Lian Li which should arrive in the next couple of days. In the meantime, I installed a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE air cooler. I have to say the air cooler is working great even under load and is only about 5 to 8 degrees warmer than my Performance was even after 12 hours of constant use. It is also much quieter than the Performance. I think I am just going to keep using the air cooler and leave the Performance in the box. Far less headaches.

      @@en0n as you've mentioned. you are here in SG, ITX system can be very challanging. I gave up with my ITX build as I know even if a liquid AIO can cool the processor, the other components will suffer and it's not good in a long run. Unless you turn on your Aircon while using the ITX build. Else my advise is, dont. For region like in Singapore, it will be best to use at least a m-atx build.

      Hi Shivang001, welcome to my channel, sure, back then I was using an older bios for the X670E Steel Legend. which is version 1.11, which whatever PPT you have set, it will just pull. back then the PPT settings was at 180000 = 180watts. it pulled beyond 180watts. As for the 5Ghz, I did not use average core clock as I did in this content. I choose the max out of the 16 cores of the 7950X (yes back then I am still noob and learning lol)
      As for this content, I have upgraded the latest Bios which is 1.30.AS05 [Beta] , I have also tested version 1.28. both bios react the same and I have mentioned in this content, due to the new bios.. there is an AI build in.. it will first determind how much cooling your system is then will adjust accordingly to what is approperiate. therefore you can see that in UEFI, I have set PPT to 172000 = 172watts but you witness the benchmark.. it didnt pull as I have set. it determind what to pull and max I can pull is at 158watts. as for the core clock why it's at 4.8 or 4.9 max. I dont think I need to repeat my self if you have watch this content of what i've said.

      @@KleoYanI still don’t understand the results here. If you limited PPT to 172 watts they should all be hitting 172 watts unless they hit what ever your thermal limit is set at (by default it’s 95C). The only thing that appears to be somewhat consistent in the results is the voltage of 1.03 (3 of 5 units) and 1.04 (2 of 5 units). I would love to see a video of what the trinity 360 performance can actually handle on a 7950x running at full speed with the normal limits only really being 1.3v on the CPU SOC (so you don’t fry it / most new bios even asus limited to this now since the issue was discovered and overvolting and ruining the x3d CPUs). The 7950x has a unlocked TDP of 230 watts. No one seems to have made a video or posted any test results if the 360 performance can handle all 230 or not. There are plenty of videos out there showing that it can handle the 300+ from 13900 and 14900 intels. Obviously the thicker IHS on 7950x in my main concern / curiosity here. Also: I guess Lian Li has pulled these from the marker essentially? They used to sell for less than $150 in US and now the only ones you can find are from obscure sellers for $250 or more. Sounds like pump failure issues are true.

    Great vids Kleo, I have a problem with the LCD screen not working. Everything in the app works except the LCD block screen, which is most important aspect of this cooler. I have the latest version 2.04 and the latest firmware ver. 0.9. Everything is connected just like you have it, and have checked that usb connector on the side of block is snapped into position correctly. All of the other options in app work fine except LCD screen only shows the Lian Li logo, also when a picture of the LCD block shows up in the L-Connect3 app it is blank nothing showing. I had a lot of problems getting it to work at first but with some Intel downloads from the Gigabyte motherboard site and the new firmware 0.9 everything but the screen works.
    The only other issue that I have is rgb lights and fans will not turn off when I shut the unit down, have to flip toggle on PSU to completely shut down.
    This is a new build, Specs are: Lian Li EVO XL case, gigabyte Z790 Aorus pro X MB, gigabyte Aero 4090, corsair ddr5 dominator 7200 ram, Lian Li sli inf reverse fans, Lian Li GA II LCD aio, i7 14700K cpu and Seasonic 1200 watt psu. I have the aio rad set up in a push/pull configuration. I have watched all of your videos on this new LL lcd watercooler and feel like you might know what is causing this. As you know this cooler is quite expensive and one of the main things is the LCD screen, so for this not to work makes me think I should just return it, which would really be a shame since the build is finished with the exception of this and the lights and fans staying on after shut down. Any advice you can offer will be greatly appreciated!

      Hi Mr. Grim, welcome to my channel. Lets do the basic.
      A) First are you able to see any Lian Li device in device manager, under universal serial bus devices?
      B) if no, can you check your motherboard bios at gigibyte website? www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z790-AORUS-PRO-X/support#support-childModelsMenu There are two version of you motherboard, please check the correct version which you are having.
      C) Now have you install the .inf driver for your motherboard? if not, get the driver from gigabyte website again.
      D) if above are done. try this, uninstall L-Connect 3app and your gigabyte fushion if you did install, using revo uninstaller, make sure to remove all unwanted first and registry. example in this vid on the actual timestamp ua-cam.com/video/uMgUYiakpxM/v-deo.htmlsi=8isUQ9pWvKounfgZ&t=437 and the application revo from here www.revouninstaller.com/revo-uninstaller-free-download/ (download the free copy will do)
      E) once all done, shutdown your machine. unplug the AC plug from your PSU. let is sit for 45 seconds or so. while waiting, check the connection of your LCD block (make sure the type C is click in) and the connection point to your motherboard USB header.
      F) plug back your AC plug and turn on your machine. see if it detect the Lian Li LCD controller in device management > under Universal Serial Bus Controller (right below)
      G) If it does detect, install L-Connect 3 app version 2.0.4
      H) launch the L-Connect 3app and under settings, check if your firmware is uptodate.
      I) If everything working, reboot your system, load L-Connect 3app. Hopefully this time your LCD will work.

    Im really worried about this at 14:10
    my Z790-E Strix (Revision 1) manual says the same thing, all the fan headers and pump everything it's 1A/12W it says.
    My CR360 Nucleus AIO Pump has been running fine for over a year, but I recently swapped all the fans to Phanteks T-30's on Advanced Mode up to 3000 RPM (0.36A apparently is max Amp, when spooling from 0). So far I haven't had any failures.
    In the BIOS if I set to 3000 RPM, it definitely sounds like 3000 RPM, but the sensor reading takes about 30 second to actually reach 3000 RPM (goes from idle to 2000~ RPM fast, but then slow increments to 3000). When I run R23 in Windows, where my fan curve is supposed to be 100% at 85c, my PC will get to 80c, but the AIO is only reaching 1850-1900 RPM. Nowhere close to 3000.
    I also read that on starting up pc boot, the Amperage on fan draw can be very high.
    So far my PC seems ok. But I am very worried about the fan header long term. As currently all 3x T-30's on the AIO are connected to CPU_Fan, daisy chained.
    I think I will unlink one and have 2x go to CPU_Fan and 1 go to CPU_OPT.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  Місяць тому +1

      Hi ashryver, welcome to my channel. If you want my honest opinion, I will get a fan hub for that, where the current is drawn directly from your PSU and to power up your fans. The tact and rpm can plug to your motherboard to control the fan curve. This is one thing about Asus motherboards, they are all rated 1A, unless your board is of a higher tier like the asus apex, encore and etc. I too have the issue like you did. Nevertheless you did the right thing as to split the connection points to CPU_OPT where it takes the fan curve from CPU_FAN.

    • @ashryver3605
      @ashryver3605 Місяць тому +1

      @@KleoYan Hello!
      Yes I currently use a fan hub for 4x Lian Li fans. Upon learning about the 1 Amp limit on fan headers I was worried about those too, as they are RGB and surely above 2A total since I know it is all on CHA_FAN_2.
      But I realize that the hub is powered by power supply & USB, as you say. So that is safe, the fan header connection is just to control RPM.
      Do those Apex manuals also say "1A/12W" for everything? Is Asus just lazy to properly document it, since here and in your video/comments you mention they are actually rated higher, according to Representatives.
      Considering I didn't have any trouble with the 3x T-30 attached to CPU_FAN, I am inclined to believe it may be 1.5A or 2A, instead of 1A ...
      That said - yes splitting the daisy chain into 2x -> CPU_FAN and 1x -> CPU_OPT seems to be working correctly now, and sync RPM properly. I will leave it like this, since as you say it is safer. It should only be 0.36A on CPU_OPT and 0.72A on CPU_FAN.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  Місяць тому +1

      @@ashryver3605 You did a good setup for your fans to draw the ampere. Plus to have 2 fans at 0.72A on a fan header at 1A, the fan will spin at ease as compared to have 3 fans at 1.08A on a fan header at 1A. To be honest, Asus boards are good structure and design but the only setback are the fan headers which I dislike, other than that, it's fine.

  • @fi5ke
    @fi5ke День тому +1

    Regarding the 1A fan headers, wouldn't it be ideal to use the Noctua NA-AC4 power supply adapter that comes with the NA-FC1 fan controller? It's a splitter for SATA power and PWM.

    • @KleoYan
      @KleoYan  День тому +1

      Hi fi5ke, welcome to my channel. if your fans (daisy chained) draws more than 1A, yes, it is more ideal to use the Noctua fan hub and controller and to provided more stable ampere to your fans. As to lower down using the controller. Yes you can do that but on pump, I advise to run either full speed or 80% consistently. This is to avoid early wear and tear on the pump motor.

I'm using a 7950x paired with a gigabyte b650 gaming x ax(every header is 2A- i hope that's not a reason to react like this?).
      If i unplug the pump and plug it in a different header, i boot into bios, the temps are 30-31C. I restart into bios to double check, the same. Then i proceed to do the windows boot, i immediately turn hwmonitor on, i see idle temps at 40c(ambient 22). Fine, then i restart into bios and the cpu is like 55C and steadily climbing 1°C per 2 seconds(now the pump doesnt show up in bios anymore).

      Hi Michael Paris, welcome to my channel. Example fans, they are not submerge in water, therefor PWM curve is ok, unlike the AIO Pump. Having irregular prolong spining rotation of the pump propellers, the motor will get damage easily. Another factor is gunk accumulation, it might get stuck and this will cause propeller to make noise, besides the bubbles. That's why is always better to keep a consistent rotation of the propellers to have the consistency of fluid flowing. by the way, I have mentioned either 100% or 80%. I have no issues to run most of my Liquid AIOs at 100%. my Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280 is one very good example and I am still using it, which I have bought it since year 2019.
