Ppop is just an OPM just rebranding the name to appeal to the new generation. But the heart and soul of the Original Pinoy Music. from the King of Ppop, song, you can see PInoy values, belief and emotion with more legit raw voice than auto tune.
his view of the music industry is SHALLOW. he needs a deep dive into qmusic in general.

PPOP Kpop jpop etc are labels to notify who the singers are singing Pop music or should we say POPULAR MUSIC. Maybe he doesn't even know what a popular music is. Way to simple I don't get whats this interview for. But if you don't know anything stay in silence and research because less talk less mistakes.

OPM is not about Soul, R&B, Ballads, Rock and Alternative music genre. It also had Pop and Hip-hop music genre
Ppop music or Philippine Popular music. Take the Philippine Pop Star Princess Sarah G for example and her hit song TALA.
He probably pointing on the Pop Idol format that became a hit around the world because due to being famous for Singing, Dancing and Visuals.
Take note! Hip-hop is the most popular genre right now and Hip-hop artists are taking over the Philippine music industry. Ppop idol groups like SB19 and BINI is not even top10 for most streamed/viewed artists her in the Philippines.
For the fact that SB19 didn't even reach a 100 Million views in one video and yet fans all over the world recognize SB19.
Sarah G isn't a good example here, since she'sone of the contributors of why OPM or PPop isn't that popular overseas. She's so Overrated "Singer", Just an Apple-of-the-Eye of ViVa's CEO.
