when that shuttle dropped out of warp at Athan prime, and the music changed, i just started crying and getting more and more excited... By the end I was bawling and jumping at the same time... "Computer, lights" - my Heart almost burst, Majels voice just opened the waterworks, and that warp jump, just like it used to be in the TNG show, made me scream at the screen!!! This was such a love letter to fans, it's been over a year, and this episode still hits deep!

I have to admit I was even more of a wreck than you were! Those last 5 mins turned this 32 year old man into a sobbing mess. Seeing that crew on that bridge again brought me back to being 5 years old watching TNG in awe and wonder.

I am 39 years old. I lost it from the reveal of the D until the credits rolled. Like a lot of you, I grew up with TNG and it’s so good to see them do this after they ruined Star Wars and ruined Picard in the first two seasons.

By chance I wasn’t filmed and i was Alone, i was a basket case ( in a good way) for half a day. It meant so much to me and I never thought I would see the day. All of them back together on the D. Its an amazing season. It couldn’t ask for a better farewell. Im 40 now and in a way they were part of my family growing up. Wow just wow. So well written directed and played! I don’t want it to stop

How did you not, as a lot of people I must say, recognized Alice Krige's voice as soon as Diana and Jack came to red door? I knew it was borg after first word. But that is Delta quadrant borg and not that STD borg lol. This is the REAL BORG with BEST BORG queen star trek ever had :p Thats just a few minutes in the clip. Very curious if you will recognize commander of Enterpise F :p No one recognized her either haha
Also I wonder if you will recognize computer voice at the end :D
And you didn't. Your grade is D Computer is voiced my deceased Majel Berret Roddenbery, may she rest in peace
So you guessed 1 (shelby) out of 3
Very poor result for a trekie lol
And I must add this too. Alice Krige is not dead lol. She is very much alive and kicking in her 68th year of life. May she live 68 more
To the best Borg queen ever and to the BEST Lady jessica from Cildren of dune.
      Cheers Alice

@@thegalaxyheadsastarwarspod8034 Yeah, I said you did :D Thats why you got D instead of F But after I see you tearing up so your grade came up to B :P I sobbed like a baby when I saw Enterprise D. I knew some Enterprise of TNG will show up in last season I just didn't expect to be D. I expected E but, apparantly Worf destroyed it :P And as nice surprise we saw pre decomissioned Enterrpise F which looks absolutely incredible
But I am 48. Literary grew up with Star Trek TNG and reruns of Original series, later came DS9 and Voyager. I watched TNg many times and ofc movies too. Alice Krige is borg queen in First Contact and later on Voyager. But I also know her voice from Children of Dune miniseries, which I watched even more then Star Trek. She had main role there as Lady Jessica.
As for my ears, Hmm, More Vulcan then Ferengi :D

LOL, I too have actually done that sort of thing a couple of times as well) and I have to say, I do think the Enterprise-F is a Pretty Cool looking ship. @@thegalaxyheadsastarwarspod8034 I thought of that too. There's a precedent for it in Voyager - Seven brought Neelix back from the dead with Borg nanoprobes in the episode "Mortal Coil". Just as I advise people to skip Duhscovery, I advise people to skip Pretendcard seasons 1 and 2.
However, the clues are there, planted in each episode of season 3 to logically lead to the end result.
The Easter eggs that aren't related directly to the plot are also nice as they indicate that, probably related to the time travel shenanigans of season 2, this third season is closer to the Canon Timeline than Duhscovery and Pretendcard were. The Bounty, a proper Constitution class starship, etc.

Picard was a MESS in the first two seasons. The stories were pretty well written, but they were complicated and didn't always make sense to people who were not hard core Star Trek nerd. (and even some of US had problems!). But this...
I have not cried so hard since I saw the season 2 finale of the Mandalorian. (No spoilers here. If you have not seen it. WATCH IT!) I have loved Star Trek for as long as I can remember and THIS brought every good memory back.
Small wonder those of us who loved TNG get a bit emotional.

@@renaissancecast It was a very different time prior to 9/11 and all the crazy or evil, if you will that has erupted in the last ten years or so. I call it evil, myself. Extreme selfishness and shortsighted thinking have often been the root causes for horrors throughout history and we are due more, I think. All sides are guilty, not any one human being no matter how loud, rude or manipulative. Humans usually look back on the past through rose colored glasses, but seeing the last couple of episodes of this show reminded me of the 'good' that I saw in the 1980s and early 1990s, not just the bad.
Seeing such a nod to the past that was enjoyable for what it was helps with the sheer level of insanity that has taken over the world. I need such things in this day and age now more than ever. Star Trek has always been a haven for me. Even the worst of the Cold War did not diminish my love for the crew of the Enterprise and their adventures. The 1980s were scary on many occasions. Those who knew about things, it was often a very bad, scary time. If you are curious, google '1984 Able Archer' and you will shudder at how close we came to full on nuclear war due to a lack of communication! We didn't NEED some genetically engineered maniac like Khan to push a button, we nearly did it by accident! Now, we are JUST as close in many ways. Luckily, there are a LOT of people all over the world who know that nuclear war would be bad, so they work hard to keep it from happening.
The last two episodes of Picard made me remember the GOOD that happened in the 1980s. Music, movies, all kinds of cool things. From my earliest memories, Star Trek was my refuge from a world that was increasingly scary, even to a clueless teen. For an hour every week, I could shelve my paranoia about nuclear holocausts, bullies, physical and mental disabilities, racism or idiot politics. I could just enjoy watching the crew of the Enterprise doing what they did. Not perfectly, but as well as they could in the circumstances. They didn't HAVE to be violent, to go out looking for people to hate or kill to be powerful and get things done. Love him or hate him, Picard always wanted to do the right thing, often to his own detriment. He led. THAT is the true definition of a good leader. Not how loud you shout, how much you steal, how many laws you break or how many get killed because you want to do whatever you want. A true leader is there to lead. Not to benefit from doing so.
Pity that is so rare as to be almost unthinkable in the modern US.
