when that shuttle dropped out of warp at Athan prime, and the music changed, i just started crying and getting more and more excited... By the end I was bawling and jumping at the same time... "Computer, lights" - my Heart almost burst, Majels voice just opened the waterworks, and that warp jump, just like it used to be in the TNG show, made me scream at the screen!!! This was such a love letter to fans, it's been over a year, and this episode still hits deep!
I have to admit I was even more of a wreck than you were! Those last 5 mins turned this 32 year old man into a sobbing mess. Seeing that crew on that bridge again brought me back to being 5 years old watching TNG in awe and wonder.
I'm loving this outpouring of nostalgia. What a fantastic moment for all Trek fans. The biggest compliment I (Stu) can pay Jimmy is that he has inspired and reawakened my own lapsed love for Star Trek. Good lad!
I was already going once the doors opened to bay 112 But when I heard them using the phoneme library of Majel's, I lost it, sobbing for the next solid hour. I Missed that ship and that crew, Majel included. Brought me back to 11 watching on WPIX.

Admiral Shelby's ship is the "Enterprise-F" (I actually almost yelled when you talked over the moment they said it was the Enterprise-F and then asked what ship that was a second later. LOL, I too have actually done that sort of thing a couple of times as well) and I have to say, I do think the Enterprise-F is a Pretty Cool looking ship. I'm from Germany and i remember watching TNG with my Dad on the sofa back then and my Dad even was kind of a look a like Data except the yellow-green skin of course :D (that's why Data was always my favourite) I'm so glad how they managed to create a conciliatory, well done and emotional ending with the third season. Congratulations to the makers of season 3.
Beautiful stuff Jimmy. You deserve everyone of these views and every subscriber it brings. Never stop being you mate. If only I had ten percent of the heart you have.
It’s also fitting that Geordi was apart of her resurrection. In an episode of TNG he used a holodeck program and saw her being originally built now he experienced it himself.
That was definitely Alice Krige's voice. We only saw her from behind but I bet she's even icky-er (yet somehow still sexy. 😳) than she used to be and we'll see the Queen full on next ep no doubt. That was the most satisfying ep of Trek in quite some time. There wasn't a dry eye in the house over here. The Finale is going to be SO good!

Wonderful reaction to a wonderful episode - thanks! Oh, and on Shaw's death. It was very well done, but this is sci-fi, and no one ever really dies in sci-fi :-) At least I I hope he'll be back!
Someone I chat to suggested Borg implants from Seven... this would mean he was saved by what he hates giving him some internal turmoil. What do you think if that?
@@thegalaxyheadsastarwarspod8034 I thought of that too. There's a precedent for it in Voyager - Seven brought Neelix back from the dead with Borg nanoprobes in the episode "Mortal Coil". Here's hoping - I'd love to see a series with Shaw as captain, Seven as his #1, with the La Forge girls and others from the Titan bridge.

Just as I advise people to skip Duhscovery, I advise people to skip Pretendcard seasons 1 and 2. However, the clues are there, planted in each episode of season 3 to logically lead to the end result. The Easter eggs that aren't related directly to the plot are also nice as they indicate that, probably related to the time travel shenanigans of season 2, this third season is closer to the Canon Timeline than Duhscovery and Pretendcard were. The Bounty, a proper Constitution class starship, etc.
Picard was a MESS in the first two seasons. The stories were pretty well written, but they were complicated and didn't always make sense to people who were not hard core Star Trek nerd. (and even some of US had problems!). But this... I have not cried so hard since I saw the season 2 finale of the Mandalorian. (No spoilers here. If you have not seen it. WATCH IT!) I have loved Star Trek for as long as I can remember and THIS brought every good memory back. Small wonder those of us who loved TNG get a bit emotional.
@@renaissancecast It was a very different time prior to 9/11 and all the crazy or evil, if you will that has erupted in the last ten years or so. I call it evil, myself. Extreme selfishness and shortsighted thinking have often been the root causes for horrors throughout history and we are due more, I think. All sides are guilty, not any one human being no matter how loud, rude or manipulative. Humans usually look back on the past through rose colored glasses, but seeing the last couple of episodes of this show reminded me of the 'good' that I saw in the 1980s and early 1990s, not just the bad. Seeing such a nod to the past that was enjoyable for what it was helps with the sheer level of insanity that has taken over the world. I need such things in this day and age now more than ever. Star Trek has always been a haven for me. Even the worst of the Cold War did not diminish my love for the crew of the Enterprise and their adventures. The 1980s were scary on many occasions. Those who knew about things, it was often a very bad, scary time. If you are curious, google '1984 Able Archer' and you will shudder at how close we came to full on nuclear war due to a lack of communication! We didn't NEED some genetically engineered maniac like Khan to push a button, we nearly did it by accident! Now, we are JUST as close in many ways. Luckily, there are a LOT of people all over the world who know that nuclear war would be bad, so they work hard to keep it from happening. The last two episodes of Picard made me remember the GOOD that happened in the 1980s. Music, movies, all kinds of cool things. From my earliest memories, Star Trek was my refuge from a world that was increasingly scary, even to a clueless teen. For an hour every week, I could shelve my paranoia about nuclear holocausts, bullies, physical and mental disabilities, racism or idiot politics. I could just enjoy watching the crew of the Enterprise doing what they did. Not perfectly, but as well as they could in the circumstances. They didn't HAVE to be violent, to go out looking for people to hate or kill to be powerful and get things done. Love him or hate him, Picard always wanted to do the right thing, often to his own detriment. He led. THAT is the true definition of a good leader. Not how loud you shout, how much you steal, how many laws you break or how many get killed because you want to do whatever you want. A true leader is there to lead. Not to benefit from doing so.
