Glad to see big content creators from other games trying out Hunt. It's a great time and many people who try it end up never leaving! Hopefully many of you test your luck in the bayou!
After getting tarkov'd for over 1200 hours, I tried Hunt during last year's Halloween event and never looked back. I did update Tarkov after this last August's wipe, but only got my PMC up to level 16 before coming back exclusively to Hunt. It's really nice for a more casual experience where you just want to get into some cool fights -- less quest progression, but more fights, and a lot more options to move in those fights due to weapons not being automatic.
I gave Tarkov about a year and a half, starting in late 2019, but just had to give up. I really wanted to pick a single game and get decent (not even good, just decent) at it but I just couldn't do it. I only play a few hours a week, maybe, and with Tarkov I feel that's incredibly difficult. You get thrown in with people who play the game hours a day and it's just brutal when you're behind others. I lost 80% of the fights I'd get in and that just got old after a while.
I'm an "old" guy and sure miss the playing field of Quakeworld and Half-Life 2 DM but that's another story.
I've owned Hunt for a while but have only played a bit of the tutorial. Need to actually get into it cause it does look quite good.
Yea I put around 1400 hrs in tarkov and still love it to an extent but waiting for some issues of theirs to get fixed before I try again. I picked up hunt and once stuff started clicking I've never looked back. Just hit 1k hours and more addicted than ever. The gunplay is some of the most rewarding I've ever experienced. And the sound and ambiance of the whole game is just fucking stellar.

I love this game and I love this event so much. Just so you know, the Infernal Pact has some wild traits regarding burn damage. You can actually heal from standing in fire, and you don't catch fire even when dead :O
Infernal with blazeborn, bloodless and vigor is OP.
Yeah, being immune to both fire and bleed with Blazeborn is pretty darn OP

hahahahah you are lucky mf xDDD ... rotjow actually is a pain in the ass to deal with for me personally it is the hardest boss if you don't know wut are you doing... she actually got nerfed in this patch she was doing a lot of charging attacks that do 120 damage and she could do it back to back in rear occasions and insta kill you because you will be stuck in the animation of getting up from under the water after the first charging attack and you could never bait her outside the water like wut you were doing here 21:00 ... the only way to fight her back then is to be inside the water or one of your teammates be inside the water and try to dodge her attacks which was having a small window to avoid so that was hard because also she was so fast back then and a lot of charge attack ... now she become slow, she starts to stick her head a lot outside the water after her attack animation and can be baited outside the water too and her charged attack become so less common and only triggers in the second stage if you inside the deep water only .... also you took your time and you were lucky having poison ammu .. in normal situation as you said you should fight her fast before ppl come and shots in the open is clearly heard everywhere in the map you can't until now kill her with sticky bomb becuse the water even with waxed dynamite that explode inside the water so the faster way is killing her inside the water with benny or poison shots even melee is not that great for fast finisher especially if you were fighting her with baiting only ... you were lucky having plenty of poison ammu xDD also you wasn't on stress becuse you konw that you were the only one in the map ahahahahh your case was so special and so different than my sad unfortnat first encounter xDDDD lol lowkey without the pisone in your nagant you may could not get out in time and may also be killed by her since basclily you will notice without the poison that she is super tanky .. they had to nerf her she was pain to deal with sometimes

What do you bois recommend a total noob start with for this game? Like what game mode, I mean. Also I'm gonna be solo if it matters, I'm a loser with no friends and I just prefer playing by myself regardless.
You can play quickplay/soul survivor to warm up and and play fast, with little regard to audio traps and just learn the maps and play with the different guns you find - as a solo in Bounty Hunt, you might wanna go a bit slower where necessary (as in, near audio traps like horses and kennels) and evade AI where possible (so someone else can trigger it and make the noise you didn't make) - most AI doesn't see too well, apart from the Immolators (bring a blunt melee tool like dusters of knuckle knive (careful not to heavy attack - especially if your main weapon has a sharp or pointy bit to it)
QP also doesn't require any Hunt dollar investment and you earn cash by interacting with rifts and for being the wellspring (even if you die eventually)
For solos and rat gameplay (looting bodies killed by other players), the Death pact with Witness is pretty strong because you can see dead bodies up to 75m and Vulture lets you loot bodies that have already been looted twice - if you want in on the action, the Infernal pact is better in most circumstances, because you cannot get burned with Blazeborn - once you have the traits unlocked on your bloodline (xp earned in qp works too) and 7 trait points on a hunter, respec your health bars to 4x25, get necro and resilience to revive as often as possible with all your remaining hp in case you die
For PVE in Bounty hunt: Meatheads (the big, blind guys with the leeches) have a 50% chance to drop a trait when killed and give loads of xp. Bow with regular arrows or a small crossbow with half poison/half regular bolts works really well against them and is a quiet way to kill them. Arrows and regular bolts can be picked up again. During, the current event, if the trait charm they drop is red, it is Shadow which will make you invisible to AI (except bosses) but it burns (is lost) when you get downed

All my homies and I hate rotjaw. Hella annoying to fight.
Bring an axe from a nearby compound. Lure and move at 90° angle to where she surfaces. No Gator Legs needed. Have a stam shot or Conduit to negate the stamina drain from the frizzle fields. This makes her the least annoying and quickest boss to kill because there's no rage phase where she takes reduced damage and she will keep coming at you until she's dead. In teams, one fella in the water and the rest on the lookout for other players.

I just want a shooter exactly like this but without all these perks and gamemodes and fantasy weapons. I love hunt but coming from Tarkov and DayZ it feels like wayy to much crap on my hud. Its a great shooter and i love the old selection of weapons but i dislike when it goes over the top with crazy perks and things like the full auto mosin. I really want a old shooter like this but without the "gamey" feel. I freaking love running the most shitty revolvers and shotguns but the game gets to be too much for me. I like the PvE too but im thinking i just would like a hardcore mode that restricts what you can bring in. Thanks for making a Hunt video! I haven't played this update so i will give it another try and might change my own mind since i haven't played in a while. Great videos as always!
It's a burst-fire mosin, and it's honestly pretty rare to come across someone with it - especially now after the 1.13 ammo changes. But I understand what you mean - its hard to argue that a hand crossbow being able to shoot bolts that explode in a ball of fire isn't "gamey." Hope you find what your looking for.
@@jaybali7526 Yeah i do think i went a little too hard saying "fantasy weapons" as one of the biggest reason i love Hunt is the old weaponry so i hate complaining about it. But yeah it hurts my soul getting blasted by the odd ammo types like your example. I have more hours with the Hunt that didn't have the "new" ammo types and i think that's my biggest gripe atm.
Wow that necro solo gameplay is pretty boring. It's nice you can hard counter with utilities, but having to babysit a corpse, while that player probably just went AFK to wait you out is lame. You had two people on fire and one of them trapped and they STILL got up and fought.
Solo's were nice because a kill was a kill, I feel like this puppy guard phase needs to be sped up. Either revive yourself and fight, or burn and die.
Maybe that's just me though, Hunt is still consistent with everything else in the best way.
You can choose hunters with more health chunks that gives you more revives. It's annoying tonight against but fun when you're the one reviving. The solo perks are pretty awesome. The only chance they could do is make the trait cost 9 or something instead of 4.

It’s a slate not a pump shotgun, it’s a Caldwell 76 shotgun not a double barrel.
6:06 rush or switch to pistol this is well out of range
7:35 it’s called a nagant pistol or more specifically a nagant silenced pistol not a revolver
7:41 you don’t remember correctly, assassin is the only boss you CANNOT use a sticky bomb with, never shoot assassin it’s ezy to kill with melee items (unless you have silenced weapon with fire or poison)
8:48 dumb rush, get back and heal!
