Andrew is a rare breed of human who's turned his hypervigilance from a liability into a superpower. He is an archetype of his hero Charlie Munger and I wouldn't be surprised to see him take over the world-- or maybe just Canada.

Fascinating hearing Andrew talk about using SSRI’s. I would have loved to hear him talk more about his experience of them. Chris can you please do a whole episode on this topic?
Chris love listening to your show!

Along with a sense of newfound hope, I gained so much insight from this. Chris is right- I myself am a type A personality who cannot chill the f out. What a profound truth it is that a lot of highly successful people focus on doing less of the things they hate, as opposed to working harder. I was surprised to hear Andrew talk about trauma and he has an interesting point- I say this as a first generation immigrant with an alcoholic mother and a father with a gambling addiction- money was a source of both stress and relief, constantly throughout my life. I will say about myself that I have a lot of spite, coming from a family rife with financial abuse, and I see it as the trigger to pull the leverage.

    Good morning Chris and Andrew
Think I have come to accept and modify failure as a super power to success.
Just want to share that just yesterday I resigned from my mental health nurse career after nineteen years of service within our NHS.
Feeling great regards this decision that was for a long time preventing my wee self doing/being so much more. Think I had to fail to succeed, me thinks.
Want to thank you for you over these passing few years.
    Story short.
    Super grateful, indeed.
    😀
    💜

Funny, my anxiety is not from trying to solve problems...it's from other people expecting me to solve their problems as a career path. I'd blissfully move to Bali if I could reliably sustain it.

I get it on “giving away all” your money… but don’t understand not passing on “a lot” of money to your own children. Why can they not carry forward a big seed, with your vision, compound the gift you give them and repeat the cycle? I hope what you meant to say is that you will give away a ton but also a pretty penny to your kids to carry forward as part of your lineage.
