She should be banned. And shamed for such a gross act. Bring your own bottle and refill. That’s not being cheap that’s being a thief who is putting others in harms way by her germ!
That's terrible. Passengers with suppressed immune systems who try to keep themselves safe would be unknowingly exposed to who knows what virus, bacteria, or fungal infection by contaminated water containers. This is also why filling up water bottles at water dispensers in cafe dining areas is disgusting and unsafe when passengers put their bottle spout (that their mouth was all over) up to and over the dispenser nozzle.
I think everyone’s mad about this because it’s not just that she’s stealing from the cruise line and taking any kind of sanitary risk herself. She’s very likely endangering the next person. She’s stealing on camera. What’s the problem she needs to get banned
I hope they find the girl who refilled the water bottle and ban her for life. As someone who buys and drinks the bottled water in the cabin this is infuriating & gross. If she can’t afford the water and feels the need to steal and reseal the bottle she shouldn’t be cruising.
Exactly. They will be able to find her because of video. Don't cruise if you can't afford s bottle of water. Disgudting and potentially dangerous for next traveler due to illness. Ban her and charge her.
B & C ~ My thoughts on the water. Unacceptable behavior. People should know better. The same person would be livid if they discovered someone had done that to them.
C. More Overnights - currently the short time in port is usually not enough and one misses out in late night activities. Of course, it's likely that the port charges would also then increase.
C....Overnight at a port if it arrives in the morning, so one has the whole day and night there, and it leaves the next day. So theres a whole 24hrs there. Or 2 days at a major port so one has time to properly explore.
we buy the 12pk of water to be delivered to our stateroom on embarkation day. they come shrink wrapped in pks of 6. we never touch the bottles in the room.
B... 8-12 Hours. 12 being great. When in port for only 6 hours with a tender, it's about 4 hours max on shore. Its just too short. We were in Bermuda for 3 days and that was really cool!
A , norwegian shortened 3 of our stops this month . To save on port fees Norwegian cruise also canceled a atop last month due to wind. We could see flags laying straight down , no wind . The captain had had 2 docking Incidents this year .he was afraid to back in . No more N C L for our family .
I really enjoy your cruise updates and information. You have a great channel. Time in Port depends on the port-- major cities such as Amsterdam, Rome, etc - overnight. Others--8-12 hours
B … I’ve been cruising for more than 50 years. NEVER had we have less than 8 hrs on the cruise ports. But now, the cruise lines wanting to cut on costs is shortening the port days. Last month we had a sea day followed by San Juan . We left SJ at about .3 pm then another sea day followed by their beach port, getting their there midday. We obviously could have had a full day in SJ.
The woman with the water hack should definitely be banned for life, as well as any possible formal charges from law enforcement. As for time in port, I would choose B. When we crossed the the ABC islands, it was very nice having 12 hours or longer at each port of call.
One comment. I was looking at my favorite cruise sale site and noted that an inside cabin on a 7 day Caribbean cruise on Icon of the Seas out of Miami was almost $2900 pp. A seven day Caribbean cruise in a suite on a Windstar ship out of Barbados was $2200 for the same period. Not only was Windstar cheaper but it included stops at six ports in seven days. And unlike RCCL, the food and service are top notch and all food venues on the ship are included.
I would like to stay 8-12 hours. The ships use to stay longer years ago then we could go out night life partying at the clubs that was so much fun. We did that in San Juan, Nassau, back then on RCL. We also would stay overnight on Carnival, cruiseline in Nassa Love your channel.
Definitely overnight if it was a great port. For example Venice or Barcelona would be fantastic for overnight port visit. Maybe Santorini would be less congested if some ships were overnight.
as for us , we will taking the N.C.L. EPIC cruse coming up on the 8`th of may , we did not have a chose in booking our flite , so we are arriving on the day of embark , i would have liked to have been 1 day earlier , ooh well . let the fun begin ! !
Probably overnight would be good for most ports of call...it would depend on the place. We love going to Bermuda with Norwegian. Using the ship as a hotel for 3 days is awesome and you get to see so much!
This water scam could also be used, and maybe is, in any hotel. Perhaps it is best to avoid consuming any in-room beverages unless you certain they are unadulterated.
Clearly should be banned. Did she drink directly from rom the bottle and the next passenger will drink her back wash? I’m confident if she’ll steal water then she will not clean the bottle.
😢 it’s so sad that people do these things, as it just makes things more difficult and more expensive for the cruisers who will actually pay for a bottle of water!! So unfortunate and so heartbreaking
I’m not sure if that requires a banning for life, but I believe what her behavior does require is that every single cruise line in the world has her name red flagged don’t accept a reservation from her then you’re not banning anybody, but they also have the right to refuse that’s how I would handle it
She put super glue on the cap . If she got any of the super glue in the water that is contaminated water . She should be banned . She is risking other people's lives.
Banned for life from all cruise lines! If that bottle stays unused what type of grossness will start to grow in it? B, 8-12 hours in port. This gives plenty of time for a guided tour and exploring.
Her hack has a flaw. The plastic ring is separated from the cap. Inspect your bottles for tampering. She is why I don’t drink the bottles in the cabin but acquire them myself. I would rather that a cruise line give me a credit on my ship card to get the bottled water than have it readily available in my room. But I’m also that person who makes sure my convenience store bottle purchase is a sealed bottle…meaning the ring is intact with the cap. I grew up with the Halloween candy tampering scare where my candy haul was not only inspected by my parents but was x-rayed by our local hospital before consuming.
Exactly. When you open an intact water bottle you will feel and/or hear a popping or ripping noise as the cap separates from the ring. If someone glued it, it would feel different. But really, pre-bottled water in plastic is an environmental disaster. It creates lots of CO2 to make and ship and creates tons of trash (most plastic bottles aren’t recycled and many that you think are recycled just end up in a landfill). And tests of bottled spring water show it’s more likely to be contaminated than tap water. Better to have a reusable bottle and refill it as you need it.
In regards to the "refilling of bottle(s)" with water from tap.... I'm highly "allergic" to any/all water from a ship (incl. lemonade, soups, any/all ice, etc) If I would drink this re-filled bottle water, my body would surely know it, and the outcome "would not be pretty"! (I only drink cokes, beers, wines, etc.... ANY drink that is not mixed with ships water)

If they get by with this what will they do next?
I got sick on a bottle of water in a mexicain hotel once that had been refilled
Ruined my trip
She absolutely should be held accountable for her actions. This is so dangerous with replacing the water for those that then drink it.
The water person besides being banned from ALL CRUISELINES for life need to be legally prosecuted
Yes, to the fullest extent of the law
I fully agree with you.
100%
And keel hauled.
I think everyone’s mad about this because it’s not just that she’s stealing from the cruise line and taking any kind of sanitary risk herself. She’s very likely endangering the next person. She’s stealing on camera. What’s the problem she needs to get banned
You are the best channel for everything we need to know about cruising.
Thank you, for all the effort.
Thank you so much for your kind and encouraging words!
Ban for life. She is endangering other passengers.
Congratulations on how your channel is growing...I keep watching the numbers go up and up.
I hope they find the girl who refilled the water bottle and ban her for life. As someone who buys and drinks the bottled water in the cabin this is infuriating & gross. If she can’t afford the water and feels the need to steal and reseal the bottle she shouldn’t be cruising.

And, how would she feel if it was done to her? I’m sure she’d go nuts!
She could also fill her own bottle with that tap water. If it's fine for the next passenger, then it should be fine for her.
I absolutely loved NCL Joy Bermuda as we stayed 3 nights in Bermuda and by far one of my favorite cruises.
B & C ~ My thoughts on the water. Unacceptable behavior. People should know better. The same person would be livid if they discovered someone had done that to them.
Exactly!
C. More Overnights - currently the short time in port is usually not enough and one misses out in late night activities. Of course, it's likely that the port charges would also then increase.
At least ban the woman. If there could be criminal charges for product tampering, 8:08 they should be filed.
I was thinking that too. There are very stiff penalties for product tampering!
It should be ILLEGAL to SELL WATER on a captive ship!!!!
@@johnp139 you can drink the tap water. It's no different than selling it at sports venues and concerts.
@@johnp139 There’s “free” tap water (safe to drink) and bottled water. I prefer bottled water-I totally understand people willing to pay for that!
B would be awesome. Tho we booked a Bermuda cruise specifically because we will be doing an overnight at the port
Ban her! She is gloating about getting away with it…how 🤢
just got back from my first cruise ever... I loved it!!!!!
That woman should not only be banned for life but arrested for theft!
She will reoffend. Would you want to stay in the same stateroom she stayed if she is not banned ? Yes charge her too !
This is no different than tampering with products on store shelves, like ice cream and Tylenol. Potentially dangerous. Ban and prosecute!
Arresting someone for some bottled water is insane.
The unsanitary nature of the crime is a good reason to arrest someone.
Why can’t she bring her own refillable water bottle if she is going to fill it with tap water? Not a hack- just disgusting.
@@dawndevault2726 totally agree
Teaching people how to cheat is morally wrong !!
B. 8-12 hours is sufficient for me. I’ve seen overnight itineraries leave the port and later return to the same port to make it an overnight stay.
B. 8-12 depending on port safety.
C....Overnight at a port if it arrives in the morning, so one has the whole day and night there, and it leaves the next day. So theres a whole 24hrs there. Or 2 days at a major port so one has time to properly explore.

Ban for life! That is a felony!
It's definitely a crime, and gross! But it is not a felony, lol😮
@@lorimasterson8427 I thought tampering with food was a felony?

@@somuchmore2seedontwait768 Out of Phoenix, the flight to Barbados was actually slightly lower than Miami. As for the hotels, they seemed similar.

C. Overnight at the cruise port. I think. I'll be on a cruise in September with an overnight, so I'll see if it's a good idea

B/C. it depends on the port and the situation.Short port stops are largely worthless by the time you get off the ship, particularly at tender ports.

Maybe a necessity such as WATER should be offered FREE OF CHARGE????
B unless it's a super popular port, like Puerto Vallarta, Barcelona, Athens, etc, then C
8 to 12 seems like a good amount of time. Sometimes I hate it that you take an excursion but didn't get to do some other stuff on an island as well.

Ban her for this life and the next. That's just unethical and unsafe.
B. 8 to 9 hours would be nice and long enough to do more than 1 excursion.

Water bottle ~ Ban for life - What a terrible thief.
