I’m from Jax Florida and was in the seafood business for 25 years, remember selling crabs when I started for 4 dollars a dozen. I can’t believe the price of crabs today??? Just blows my mind. And we made are own market crab boil and I used JO as our base, great stuff!

Old days you would drive down to the shore and get them off the boats when they came in as crabbers still made better money from you than wholesalers

No shame in the lights. When demand is high that’s the only way we can afford to eat crabs and they are still great as long as they come from you. Happy Friday CJ!

"White Belly's,"Are really easy to pick:). I always brought Home Big #1's. There's been tough yesr's. Cap sure know's that. When my oldest had just learned to pick pretty good. And we were no longer Policing his shell pile. I had to put some Jumbo, "White Belly's" . On the table. Crabbing picked up and i brought home Big #1's like he was raised on. He ate' and said" bring home some more of them "White Belly's" there easier to pick. He was 7. Great Videos!! Maryland in the House:)

#6 A light crab at a crab feast will expose the crab weighers . When they put the light crab back in the pile thats one more crab for you to eat. Dont forget to thank them for their consideration.

  • @meauxjeaux431

It's either Gulf blue crab, or Chesapeake bay blue crabs. If it's not any of those then it's NOTHING ! Luckily, I live on the gulf coast, so I can catch my own and eat a few, then pick the rest to freeze. If not for that, then I would never get to eat any because of the price.

Thanks for an interesting vid. Md pisses me off in they want you to have a license to catch salt water fish & crabsvin bay. We spend a couple of grand vacationing in Ocean City Md every year. We eat all of our meals at local resturants. I crab off a little bridge a couple of times for a few hours and always throw every thing back. Had a game warden or fish dick whatever they csll them follow me to my SUV & look inside of it. I was talking to a guy that had 2 poles set and he asked both of us for fishing license. Gestapo.
