    en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mario_Bros.
Mario Bros. (マリオブラザーズ Mario Burazāzu?) is an arcade game published and developed by Nintendo in 1983. It was developed by Shigeru Miyamoto, the creator of the Mario franchise. It is a follow-up to Donkey Kong and stars Mario, a plumber who was previously named "Jumpman". It has been commonly featured as a minigame in the Super Mario Advance series and other games. Mario Bros. has been re-released for the Wii's Virtual Console service in Japan, North America and Europe and Australia.
In this game, Mario is portrayed as an Italian-American plumber who, along with his brother Luigi, has to defeat creatures that have been coming from the sewers below New York. The gameplay focuses on Mario's extermination of pests in the sewers by flipping them on their backs and kicking them away. The original versions of Mario Bros., the arcade version and the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) version, received positive reception.
    Game Play
Mario Bros. features two plumbers,[4] Mario and Luigi, having to investigate the sewers of New York after strange creatures have been appearing down there.[5] The objective of the game is to defeat all of the enemies in each phase. The mechanics of Mario Bros. involve only running and jumping. Unlike future Mario games, players cannot jump on enemies and squash them, unless they were already turned on their back. Each phase is a series of platforms with four pipes at each corner of the screen(in the old version, and an object called a "POW" block in the center. Both sides of every phase feature a mechanism that allows the player to go off-screen to the left and appear on the right and vice versa.
The player gains points by defeating multiple enemies consecutively and can participate in a bonus round to gain more points. Enemies are defeated by kicking them over once they have been flipped on their back. This is accomplished by hitting the platform the enemy is on directly beneath them. If the player allows too much time to pass after doing this, the enemy will flip itself back over, changing in colour and increasing speed. Each phase has a certain number of enemies, with the final enemy being faster and a different colour than normal. There are three enemies in all: the Shellcreeper, which simply walks around; the Sidestepper, which requires one more hit than normal to take down; and the Fighter Fly, which jumps, making it more difficult to flip. Players may also make use of the above-mentioned "POW" block, which flips any enemy touching a platform when a player hits the block from below.

@ZombieRyushu It's called M88. After doing some tweaking I discovered that there are several settings that change it to other model versions. I also managed to tweak the sound to sound a bit better. I'll post a response video for Mario Bros with the improvements on the video & sound quality. I was kind of reluctant to mess with it since it was all in Japanese but I managed to pull it off.

You can even here that little ditty that plays at the start of each phase (except phase 1) sounds better in the Mario Advance 1 and Superstar Saga versions that in the Mario Advance 2, 3 or 4 versions if you have both versions compare them if you listen carefully you will hear that in the Mario Advance 2, 3 & 4 versions it will sound choppy where as in the Mario Advance 1 and Superstar Saga versions it will sound nice and smooth and more true to the original NES version

On Mario Bros. Special at the end, it doesn't really look as bad as shown. If you're using M88 (this may apply to other emulators as well), you'll need to go to a bar near the top of the screen on the emulator part and select your display option, which will fix the palette. It's also not supposed to play as slow, not sure what's up with that.
MBS was also released on the Sharp X1, FM-7, and the PC-6601 (the 88's predecessor). The X1 version plays the best, with much smoother movement and better sound.
You forgot the Famicom Disk System's Kaettekita Mario Bros., which was somewhat closer to the arcade version and allowed you to change direction in mid-air, and the European exclusive Mario Bros. Classic Series, which was the closest port to the arcade version and was also the only port to have certain arcade features, such as the cutscenes that play whenever a new enemy is introduced.

The Classic NES series version was designed to replicate the NES.
Mario Bros. Classic (an extra in Super Mario Advance and M&L) was in there

I played the DOS version when I was a kid.
I had no idea what the heck I was doing, though.

Yes. It's in Super Mario All-Stars. Just choose "Battle Game" in Super Mario Bros. 3's title screen. This version is 2-player only and is the basis for the GBA version.

computers the atari xl/xe version looks the best, mainly because the sound when marios walking isnt as annoying as the c64 version, amstards definetly better then the spectrum (sound and uses more than 2 colors excluding black).
but off course nothing beats the nes version
