Blaming this on Russia makes no sense. Why would Russia deliberately destroy its strongest bargaining chip in re-establishing trade with Germany & destroy its billion dollar infrastructure , when they could turn off the tap? What? Of course it does. They have contractual obligations to provide gas but to get around those obligations they can have 'issues' with the pipelines. Until now they've been claiming leaks at various places but there's only so many 'leaks' at the above ground facilities they can get away with claiming. A physical leak that blocks the gas sorts it out on an almost permanent basis. It's basically a FUCK YOU from Russia.

What? Of course it does. They have contractual obligations to provide gas but to get around those obligations they can have 'issues' with the pipelines. Until now they've been claiming leaks at various places but there's only so many 'leaks' at the above ground facilities they can get away with claiming. A physical leak that blocks the gas sorts it out on an almost permanent basis. It's basically a FUCK YOU from Russia.
