Reminds me of a time back in Chicago, in the early to late 1980s. Me and my 3 friends would mount up on our bikes and head out to nowhere. Those memories I will cherish forever. I'm still riding, even in my 60s. Most of the time, naw... the majority of the time I ride alone. Either on my Kawasaki Vulcan Vaquero 1700, Honda Shadow Aero 750 or my Can Am Ryker 900. The road is open and the air is flowing.
Used to love watching the cool guys on choppers by the beach back in the 60s. Southern CA at it's finest. When I was old enough, I did get my bike. Choppers are more form over function. That being said, I still would like to have a chopped Shovelhead with an American flag gas tank in the garage for those times when no other bike will do.
Cool flick I bought my 50 Panhead 1972 took it apart removed everything painted it rewired it made my first seat for the ole-lady Dog leg rigid frame six over springer no front brake Blue chrome everywhere ape hangers fishtails love my scooter went everywhere Los Angeles the mountains lived in Linda Vista California hooked up with my neighbors they were 81 met a lot of folks some cool some look right through you but all in all had a blast no worries worked in the shipyard road with some friends there from work anyway wish I could show you all my Panhead you’d appreciate it. Ahhh YES, the 60's-70's "Chopper" Motorcycle... Seen in their day as "unnecessary and dangerous death trap killers". A period of time where the automotive industry was pumping out affordable cars on mass, the humble motorcycle was dying a slow death. The youth however which saw through the smoke and mirrors of conformism went into the opposite direction. A motorcycle was the middle finger pointed towards governments/laws/conformisms of the day. Many decided to reduce material accumulations and acquisitions, live on the bare necessities and explore new states, lands and possibilities. The Chopper is a consequence of that desire. A simple, parts bin machine built to explore on a shoe string budget, to move freely (whilst we still could) and travel across the country. Peanut tanks, two simple cylinders and a kick-back seat. The ones that took this direction shed themselves of materialisms. The only thing of monetary value was their "chopper", hence they became a motorcycle associated with "hippies, bikers or outlaws" The shape was stigmatised and anyone seen riding one was immediately associated with one or more of those stereotypes (which ironically only drew more towards them). I guess that's why they have suddenly become so popular with aspiring young builders today. Those same aspirations are naturally still alive today and "choppers" resonate with so many on so many levels. Great to see these bikes make a resurgence. Roaring up a highway on one of these is an experience one must do at least once. Be warned... "Highly Addictive"
So this is weird, this is the first video that I can't get to play right, it has lines from left to right like an old TV that has gone bad. I can't make out anything, just black and white and green lines from left to right. I tried different quality settings from the lowest to the highest, didn't help. I finally copied the link and switched from Google Chrome to Microsoft Edge and it worked. Might want to hit the 'send feedback' button and let UA-cam know about it. Going over to Edge now to check out this video LOL
I said it before I say it again real bikers wear boots some of these videos I am seeing are just a bunch of weekend warriors back to the office on Monday
Nice video Tyler! i cant get no pressure on that moto iron springer front end caliper. the springer is six over you think brake line to long for the stock master cylinder? or you think i need aftermarket master cylinder?
Had my 1957 PanHead since 1977 still riding it .... miss the good old days 🙈
Old school chops look way cooler than the modern ones.

Nicely done. Kinda miss the old school rides, but not the issues I had with my shovel.
Oh man! Your words ring so true for me too. My old $hovelhead just about broke the bank. RIP

Ride on great job on the scoots. Choppers forever.
Keeping the dream alive.
I thought springers were antiquated. Then Built the bike I wanted. Springer was the only thing that made sense for function. I absolutely Love it.
Love it. Grew up in Ohio. Great video guys! Just ordered a springer front end from yall this week.
How does it look, cause when I was looking at them on there website they kinda looked wide and I'm looking for a skinnier one

Great video but love the song too. Who is that ??
this actually makes those weird, uncomfortable machines look appealing
this is so beautiful.
The 6 people who didn't like this don't have a bike.
I'd bet the thumbs down was for the music. Rad bikes, hot girl, shit music.
Fuck em
@@model9729 Music isn't that bad. Doesn't really go with the vid, but not a bad tune.
I don't get it either. If you don't like a video, just move on.
That look has been around a long time, handles real well on twisty, windy, mountian roads and their in the wind and having fun, that's what counts.
Love me a gustado mmm
I dig the video and who is that band? Am liking it!

No REAL bikers don’t wear boots, we wear anything but sandals. Go be a whiny Ken somewhere else.
