Hi, Thanks for the video. I also have a faulty front controller and in the process of installing a replacement, however, I have one question, Is thermal paste necessary for heat transfer to the heat sink?
Interesting, just bought a replacement minimotors front controller, and surprise, instead of 9 wires it got 14, can't be installed without modification which will void the warranty, Dualtron doesn't seems to have much infos, sellers don't know about new generation of controllers which won't fit with the existing wiring, well done Dualtron, well done
im having the same issue. the new controller isn't a 1-1 match like the old controller. i did the best i could, but now i have a random white cable with nothing to plug to. im at a loss. I sent an email but haven;t heard back just yet. but these guys are pretty good with helping if you get hold to them
Hi, can you tell me i bought dt3 new controller but thats had only one white cable for break cut off, now how i to connected on 2ne break cut off cable. Plz answer me
Is that the controller that says A and B? My thunder is having the same problem but I noticed some websites only have the controller for sale that say A and B. Do you guys have the controller for the front wheel in stock ? I'll give you guys a call tomorrow. Thanks for this video.
Low quality. My frontcontroller had some bugs from day one, made complain to after 2months. KWK said this was normal. Frontcontroller totally broke down after 9months. Dualtron only offer 6months warranty. I guess they are made to last only 6months then. Can not recommend this brand or store
Great videos. I have a request. Can you do a quick video on how to tighten down stem release clamp properly. I was under the impression that these shouldn't loosen up once closed. But mine loosens up constantly
This is the perennial issue of dualtrons. You have to watch for it creeping up. You can lock it down with all your might but you will eventually break the QR washers or bolt so best to just keep it tight but not enough to cause breakage and watch for it creeping up every so often.
@@davedeluria I've actually wrapped velco around it.just always wondered if I was doing it correctly. I've read up on them on bike forums who all say QR clamps aren't supposed to loosen. But I tighten it enough so there no back and forth on the stem.but even normal riding will cause you to apply a lot of pressure to stem. Which I believe causes it to loosen. I might just replace it with a Allen head bolt and lock washer. I keep the tool on me anyway.
You have to clamp it with the handle perpendicular to the direction of travel. If you try to clamp it with the clamp handle in the other orientation, it does not have room to snap into place due to the steering column getting in the way.
Hi. Need help. My MX cannot power on. When i long press the power on throttle, the front and rear lights on. When I release its turnoff. But the throttle itself cant power on. Thanks...
Hi Guys, I purchased a dualtron thunder about one month ago (here in Europe). I replaced the suspension cartidges (softer) and tyres (PMT). All was well until all of a sudden the front motor stopped working. Really disappointed! The front wheel only spins with lots of resistance (nobbly). The back wheel spins fine. Is it worth checking the switch or the controller or does the motor need replacing? Thanks for the advice.
Hello friend, I'm Orlando Tristão, I'm from Portugal, I'm a little inexperienced and I need to ask a favor, can you show me a video or a diagram, explaining each wire or connector of these controllers? Can I connect an accelerator to the Display wires? Please help me. Thank you very much. greetings
So this is what happened to my scooter.... Had it only 3 days. A very light tumble over on side and scooter would barely go. Next day would not go at all. Had to send it back. I knew this was odd...!
Just unscrew the 2 steering column cup/holder screws, and thoroughly WD40 the screw holes inside and out. Takes care of the squeaking noise right away.

The controller may be fried if yours settings are: P8 = 100 P9 = 3 Which means full available power output. Tested at 90% battery, 80km/h (50mph) on flat surface. I have noticed abnormal front motor behaviour, looked like power cut off for very short period of time (100ms), randomly. Probably some sort of electronic safety (over-current protection?). My advice is to put setting P8 to 90 or P9 to maximum 2. This event is no longer occuring after 200km (125 miles). May be specific case of my model.

On some settings you can press and hold the bullet point button for faster value change. For the experience depending on settings, you have to figure it out on your own. @@SaltCreep45 yes, these are factory settings. You may want to use full power, although treat riding with full power like revving combustion engine near the red line. It is fine, but do not use it for too long and often, so the controller may have time to cool down.
Fantastic video! Keep 'em coming! My personal request is changing the headset bearings and cups which is one of the darndest things to do.
Great videos!! Would you be able to make a quick video on how to replace the controller on the Dualtron Victor?

Maybe one of the motor wires are touching
Exact same thing happened to me. Did you figure out what the issue was? Controller?
@@DESOUSAB Hi, yes it was the controller. It was replaced then everything worked again.
Well known issue in Thunder is enabling regenerative braking while battery is full or more than 90%, it kills the controller
Hi im wondering if it is possible to replace a dualtron thunder controllers with a STORMCORE 100D esc controller from Lacroix would it work ?
This is really awesome guys!! Allows us to make fixes.

do these controllers also control the brakes? I think my brake controller fried, (after 1 week). How do I know if it's the front or the rear?
These guys dont respond to scooter problems on here. I suggest going onto the webpage and asking there. They are usually pretty quick to respond.

Do you have the dimensions of these controllers?
You should do a video on how to replace the battery
does water mess up the motor controller ?
HAS DUALTRON DONE ANYTHING TO UPGRADE THIS AS I READ ALOT OF PEOPLE HAVING THIS ISSUE.
Great vid thanks !
How about how to fix, modify ,upgrade the loud loosening ,creaking steering post clamp?
