I love how Capcom shows so much respect towards the classic games, even putting tons of Easter eggs in world that only veterans would understand
I can help but feel like the whole premise of world is a reference to 4/4U. "Important character finds shiny thing, said character says 'hey you, help find out what this shiny thing is' you then track down shiny thing. Oh hey! It's an elder dragon!"
@@maxharris6621 can't blame them, 4/4U was the best one, huge roster, even bigger weapons trees, guild quest were tedious as hell but it also kinda felt neat there was a pool of weapons and armor that you could only get by doing them, while also feeling like hell when desire sensor stopped you from ever getting 'that' one.
I hope After World/Iceborne, they either keep the story as short as Iceborne or have it been like 4U where there is a story but it's relatively basic. I know they're appealing to the western crowd, but the western crowd doesn't know what it wants, so its best they go by their own standards, not ours.
Rogue poison I agree, 4u is definitely the best and most memorable of the classic games. Generations is quantity over quality with most of its monsters (looking at you giadrome), because 4u had monsters like Dahren mohran and basically every other amazing siege fight. It even had the battlequarters, the best large scale arena in the series.

I love how beautiful they've made Nargacuga in world! Really brought out the panther-wyvern look! Thank you Capcom/MH team! I hope you do more of these Old & New comparisons!

I love the way Narga showed up on my first hunt for it. Dark and stormy, pick up a print right outside camp 1, the camera turns and BAM, there it is. My favourite monster so far.
Narga and Zinogre are easily my favorite monsters. They're so beautifully designed.

I mean fuck dude, you claim its "double the content" but you are okay with skin clapped on bones as being enough? We are hoping they get back to how GU's design are while keeping the mechanical fidelity of the newest game.
But ya know, you'd know that if you actually played the older titles. You'd also know that despite all this the MH community still love this game; its just we want our baby to improve
I think we can all agree that world is a fantastic game, whether y'all didn't have the time or resources to give us fully unique weapon designs is unknown but it would mean a lot that if in the next game at least you went back to old style weapon designs
Seriously I think they may have thought that it would be too time consuming to put in the effort into making the classic designs. But it's CAPCOM

Seeing that old cutscene from Unite is so nostalgic. I remember using Mazerion's Auto-reload HBG build with the Lao Shan Cannon to farm Narga before I got my MOI timing down with the roll.
My first MH was stories, where the most sinister monster in the game was a blighted Nargacuga, considering what that monster caused. It's why I was so excited to fight one in a regular MH game.

@@PestilentAllosaurus Hammer and bow are my favorites, mostly hammer. I'll try others when I'm done the story but right now I just finished hammering velkhana into the ground lol. Looking forward to my 10th attempt at learning great sword lol.

I know that was a typing mistake but since bullfangos are just walking pain hitboxes might as well just keep it that way

Lost Coyote I use Bow and Sword and Shield, but I’m trying to learn Great Sword and Insect Glaive. I got Stories for Christmas last year, and bought Generations, 4U, and 3U for my 3DS in July. I hope to get World/Iceborne for Christmas this year too.

My first weapon was Lance in Tri/3u. Then in 4u & Gen I used Bug stick.
Now I use Hammer.
I'm also trying to learn Great sword. That and Switch Axe.
I encountered that Wyvern which resembles a panther in Monster Hunter Rise,
Although it doesn’t have Bleed status.
I would’ve panicked if I started bleeding.
Insted his rare species Lucent Nargacuga can turn invisible and poison you in Rise/Sunbreak.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite.. Over 1k hours of pure Playtime. I cried, i laughed, i smashed my PSP (Khezu)...

Don’t know about how the new monsters were in their previous games. But I find that a whole lot of them are push over in Iceborne. Monsters like Nargacuga, Barioth, Glavenus do not even pose a tiny bit of threat. Well, except for Tigrex. And Velkhana too. That thing is less of an ice monster and more of a stabby one.

Narga is the sole reason i'm buying this
Love Monster Hunter and have been a hard core fan from the PS2 days but it still bugs me that the Devs/Creators constantly mix up the terms "venomous" and "poisonous". Also, the Nargacuga has a highly mobile tail but it does not technically fit the definition of prehensile. To do this it would need to be able to hold things with it's tail. Little details I know but the biologist in me just had to say something.
I hoped that narga would hide in the foliage and stalk you, before it pounces on you its eyes will glow red so it has a tell, and will do the same when it runs away, and maybe buff narg a bit, maybe make it faster, attacks do more damage, just a buff in anyway, just felt it was a bit "easy" but not easy, maybe people are just used to fighting it, maybe thats just what happens when it teached people on how to dodge using i-frames, and its definitely better than old narga, perhaps I just got my hopes up too much, still a great fight though

@@BoJangles42 I honestly found I'm a little slower than normal. I'm not sure if that's something they changed after unite. Probably just feels slower now that we have much more freedom of movement
Personally I think new narga is a bit easier, maybe due to it did less hops compared to old narga. Maybe it would change with tempered narga I dunno, but I hope it would be a little bit harder in the future. I don't want newcomer that see this returning monsters think that "That was an easy hunt, I don't know why people are hype for this old monsters".
I wish there was an option to switch between new and original themes

Or maybe it's mentioned because the structure of the tail is supposed to be prehesile but the Nargacuga doesn't use this ability? Ehh.. Be a waste in evolutionary adaptations. Sooo yeah. Likely just a huge mess up. Didn't know how else to explain "This tail very strong! Very flexible!"

Is there an issue with connectivity and matchmaking? Im only ever in a session with 1 or 2 people and they arent anywhere near my hr or mr.
