- We've selected the most iconic scenes from the 1984 fantasy classic Highlander starring Sean Connery and Christopher Lambert.
In New York City, the owner of a sophisticated antique shop Russell Edwin Nash is challenged to a sword fight in the parking lot of the Madison Square Garden by a man called Iman Fasil that is beheaded by Russell. He hides his sword and is arrested by the police while leaving the stadium. Russell recalls his life in the sixteenth century in Scotland, when he is Connor MacLeod, and is fatally wounded in a battle against another Clan. However, he surprisingly survives and his Clan believes he has a pact with the devil and expels him from their lands. Then he meets Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez, who explains that he is immortal unless he is beheaded. Further, the immortals dispute a game killing each other and in the end only one survives receiving a prize with the power of the other immortals. Russell is released by the police, but the snoopy forensic agent Brenda J. Wyatt is attracted by the case since she found fragments of an ancient Katana and follows Russell. I'm in love with this movie and it's incredible scenery of Scotland and most of all the katana sword is a beauty and I miss the great Connery one of the best Scottish rip Sir we all miss you. ❤🙏

Ramirez made 3 mistakes in his fight with the kurgan : 1 after he landed the cut to the throat he waited too long for his next attack ; if he had struck immediately , he could have won - 2 after he ran him through he lingered too long , celebrating the point ; if he would have followed it up with an immediate strike , he could have won - and 3 when he was beaten , as the kurgan went into his backswing for the beheading , Ramirez should have thrown himself off of the perch , thus forcing the kurgan to follow and giving himself a second chance to re-engage for another assault

First of all, no watchers, it was just a shitty TV series invention that contradicted the principles of the Immortals from the very beginning.
Second, you should have watched the movie and not asked stupid questions. Ramirez explained it, it was Quickening himself who led the Immortal during the gathering. He said that one day, when there were only a handful left, they would feel an irresistible desire to be in one place (it was more of a city, it was New York) so that the final fight for the prize would take place between the survivors. The immortals not only sensed themselves, but also the death of other immortals, as well as how many of them remained. Only a total ignoramus would ask this question.
Does this mean Highlander will finally be available for purchase in 4k Hdr?
the 4K blu ray for this film will more or likely be released early to mid 2022 well that's what i think will happen

Ramirez is 2,437 years old. The Japanese sword was made for him by Masamune. When Ramirez fell to the Kurgan in 1541 Connor MacLeod replaced his Clan MacLeod claymore and started using Ramirez’s katana, in honour of his mentor.
