I always say "nah I'm very slow" and some insist, I hate having anyone behind me. My mind won't stop thinking about someone waiting on me, unless the entire course is backed up, then I kinda like it it a wierd way

I say this with love to robbie. I think that watching him work on a form change has discouraged me from trying my own form change. If it takes Robbie this long to work through a form change and find improvement, then i dont think I have the patience for how long a form change would take me to regain improvement over my current imperfect form. shout out to him for sticking it through
I can really understand that feeling, but when I first learned there weren't much for resources on form, so trying to improve was always tough, but after so much frustration, I found one specific part of my form that made the pieces fall into place, dramatically changing my throw in a weekend.
It can be really discouraging, but sometimes a different perspective or trying just that one slightly different thing, can make it all worth it, then it's only up from there!
when you say it like that, you're right. BUT if the form change makes throwing easier on your body, you can throw the same distance more often without wearing your shoulder out. less strain on your body means you can practice more, and have better practice because you won't be dealing with stiffness or sore muscles as much.
Golf is a game of patience, in every aspect.
Don't be discouraged. Robbies biggest issue is that he holds his breath from way before the x-step, and that stiffens all of him up a shitton. That's not a very common mistake, but it's really hard to fix.
Was expecting WAAAAY worse after that "mentality video" Robbie - except that one throw, the rest where good or st least up to par with the other guys- all in ya head bud 🥳😵💫🙏
But its comforting to see that it does not only happen to us plebs out there, it actually happens to the good, seasoned pro players too

Fun random idea: if you are doing a video on a course and let some one play through. Once a round if someone throws an awesome shot their shot gets featured on your channel

When you're playing best/worse shot can you throw up a graphic of who's shot they are taking (also pass that on to the foundation boys). Other then that you and foundation put out some of the best discgolf content.
My only problem with worst shot is that it makes lots of shots boring and meaningless. I prefer tough shot, but if someone insisted on worst shot, what about a slight modification? Make it so that once someone makes a shot, they don't have to shoot again. That way you wouldn't see boring layups on every shot once someone missed. Incentive to go for the circle 2 putts, etc.

So disappointed in Trevor’s “simping” remark on hole 1. The man was set up with a golden opportunity to say “trash pandering” and he didn’t take it.

As a forehand player who’s working on my backhand Brodies comment to Konner about the placement of the thumb being high what does that mean? Higher thumb location equals more or less spin?

not exactly sure what he means by high thumb. high like towards the middle of the disc, away from the rim. or like, his whole thumb was on it, way past the pads of his thumb. either way, using alot of thumb and gripping towards the center are mainly to have the tightest grip you can. creates more spin, at the cost of accuracy sometimes.
but his shot looked really good, maybe worth messing with this if your not happy with your backhand.
If you want to work on your backhand, play catch. That is the easiest way to learn touch.
@@wherehouseedm I think you’re spot on - I’m still early in my development, but messing around with my thumb placement has felt like more power when I have it towards the center. My accuracy regardless of where my thumb is placed is my main issue I’m trying to work through rn.
@@ronjones-6977 Unfortunalty I play most of my rounds solo due to buddies work/life schedules. I do plan on purchasing a glitch to work on just regular short throws like you would during playing catch. Hopefully that’ll help get the basic motions down as I’m still struggling a bit with form/timing.
