I like that the characters did not make stupid choices in the first season/ the first video but in the second season, everyone becomes dumb/ angry.
And dtas how humans work ⁉️
Welp that's humanity for ya!
@@izfida Nope! It's a trope in fiction that humans are supposedly total lunatics who would gladly destroy their entire tribe in a time of crisis due to some nonsensical, petty reasons. That couldn't be further from the truth. For most of human existence, we've lived in tribes. Times have been hard many times over for prehistoric tribe, but what made them survive and thrive is the human ability to cooperate. Intrinsically we are still the same people, and we most strongly dip into our true strengths, the ability to cooperate well with each other, in times of crises. The opposite of what happens in these TV shows.
We have been sold this grim, false image of humanity by that trope being touted in literature, films and TV over and over and over. In Lord of the Flies, for example, we are being sold this false image. In it, a group of boys are shipwrecked on a deserted island, and they soon deteriorate into lawlessness, savagery and lunacy. Is that true? Is that what people are like? Well, it just so happens there is an example in real life history of that exact scenario, a group of boys being stranded on a deserted island, happening! Do you want to know what really happened?
In 1965, a group of boys from Tonga escaped from a boarding school. They stole a boat with the intention of sailing to Fiji. The boat broke down and they were left adrift in the Pacific Ocean for eight days, until they they hit land on some deserted island. They suffered from drought and accidents on the barren island, but there was absolutely no sign of turning into savages. The exact opposite happened. Through harmony and cooperation, they survived and, considering the circumstances, thrived on the island. They built a vegetable garden, instruments to gather rain water, a signal beacon that they kept alit for over a year, and even stuff for recreation. They resolved their conflicts amicably. They were finally found 15 months later (read it again, fifteen fucking months, a year and three months), they were in good health and spirits. They dipped into the fundamental human strength, the ability to work together in peace and harmony.
The idea that humans are evil like these shows present is demonstrably false. Buying into it is a cheap cop-out to justify to yourself your own failure at trying to be the best you. Pull some shady moves, and go, hey, other humans are monsters, too! No, we're not. We're good people.
@@keke611 We humans strive for innovation! (In the worst ways that is.)
Remember you are in a " post apocalyptic world " and can make you dumb or angry.
That's humans work, there is a high chance that they'll not gonna think logically because of the situation.
I don't know but I feel part 2 and part 3 were a little bit fast so I got confused by the new characters and I don't know what is going on with the story feels like part 2 and 3 should be the long and the part 1 should be short since its simple.
Part 1 seemed enough, they didn't need to stretch the show
I agree but It seem that each part is about one episode long and they may make it so short without giving away too much of the show? Yo know? Just a guess
@@vanskis7618 yeah I was actually loving it, part 2 and part 3 I still love it but I got confused by the aftermath of part 1

so now suddenly home boy knows how to make a flamethrower? He couldn't come up with that brilliant idea when the mom and her kid were locked in a room with a generator? Where they said they needed a flamethrower to open the door (for some reason)
And he did it with two coconut shells, a stick of gum and a coat hanger - lol.
There's a big difference between cutting a mesh grill and cutting a solid door.
Wait a minute, so covering yourself with a basket was enough to protect yourself from the deadly rays that even penetrated bunkers? Huh? Did I misinterpret the surprise ending there?

So why did they took the crazy lady to the adventure? She literally destroyed their cotrol panels of the plane.
Yea that was definitely a huge mistake they should have just knocked her out and left her
Probably because she survived up there for so long, and they need someone to plant/take care of the crops.

S2 was so bad that I just winded up coming here to finish it. Sheesh it was sooo slow
Yeah, pretty much that.
@@Talia.777Matthew 11:28 come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. As well as Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death but the gift of God (Jesus who died on the cross for our sins) is eternal life. As long as you put your faith and trust in Him.
4:24 "Luckily the Russians start shooting" Well that's a sentence I thought I would never hear.
Ah yes **Sad Ukraine Noises**
Even with the questionable science season 2 feels half baked. S1 seems like it should have just ended there with people wondering on their own if those people would find a way to survive.
To be fair, S2 should have been the same but telling the story of other survivors, would've been better I think
It was a stupid dragged out series
i never understood why people lose their minds when in a apocalyptic situation. its intense enough without stupid decisions like shooting someone for being a different nationality or handcuffing someone to a gate post. i know for tension in the show it helps ratings but i would love to see people working together. especially when something as simple as daylight could kill you. i almost prefer a zombie apocalypse rather than a natural one.
Terror, fear, worry. Plus humans are human. In a group of 3, one wants to call the shots. Everyone is right in their own minds - even to the smallest concepts - and some will fight to the Death to keep their 'Right' as the be all/end all.
Sadly that brings about the 'end all' in many cases.
Imo the walking dead was close to how we'd BE. Those who worked together still had strife but ultimately I think it worked out the best it could.
the reason is simple: fear
When was the last time you go out from Disneyland? It sure full of sunshine & rainbow all the time at your place.
Its because of a lack of control out of people's hands even if they never had it people will make impulse decisions to feel like they have control and will go out of their way to ruined those that got their head on right. The fact they brought back clearly a mass murder that was eating the seeds of the world and saw herself as god cus he was mentally unstable was a red flag that everyone's elevators stop going to the top floor
stress reaction. Normal people in normal(relaxed) state if immediately subjected to an intense situation, can loose their calm and thinking process for a while, also in a long term, they can lose mind if they are unable to comprehend a solution.
I might be wrong, but it seems all the problems started with the civilians
You’re not wrong. That was a big part of the problem with season 2.
Absolutely. As soon as the passengers arrived, it took just over a week for everything to go tits up.
In such a senario the dumbest thing to do is killing anyone, as it could endanger the entire future of humanity, not only that, military personell is the most valuable asset in such a scenario and every action taken by any character in this season was absolutely crazy
exactly. the civilians were ungrateful pieces of crap. They even left the guy who saved them to die.
Lets be honest the best part of the video was Rick Driving the big truck into the little jeep. GO RICK!
rick and morty be like
Some mad max shit WITNESS
Hell yeah
Y u have to spoil it
Rick asleh?
This part seems kinda rushed... Other than that, I feel there is quite a bit of drama and forcefulness from the original group causing the only survivor in the artic to screw them over... Also, the soldier and original group conflicts could have been avoided. It's the guns and being selfish, only thinking of yourself that causes misunderstandings... Isn't it better to survive as a group than being all alone?
I agree. The original group is too selfish and caused lots of trouble for others.
This feels like it was best being a movie rather than a series
True, but you wouldn't have a movie if everyone just wised up, would you?
@@Ryuki136 so you have entertainment the characters have to act like idiots ? 🙄

My fav character was Rik. By far the least annoying character and actually puts his money where his mouth is on sacrificing himself for the group.

Rick's laugh at the end there was absolutely priceless
Its always funny how in every post apocalyptic series civilians became strong and super tactical while soldiers became stupid with fighting and tactical skills like they were first day in bootcamp.
But yeah when you write series or movie, its best to kill of most OP characters because it could take away moments of tension in story.
Killing scientist because he could find answers, killing soldiers because they may be too much combat OP.
If you want to survive in that kind of world, just be stupid and not expert or specialist in some branch :D thats how you get plot armor
The anticipation!
I would watch this but I just really like watching this guy more
There is a spin off of Into The Night called Yakamoz S-245 which is about a crew inside a submarine and trying survive the same disaster.
I wish the summary for part 2/3 were both longer! I enjoyed the immense detail in part 1. Show seems to have fallen off a bit.. first season seems intriguing

is this the end or is there a next one?
The seed bank is neither in Norway nor on the North Pole. The Svalbard archipelago is located between mainland Norway and the North Pole.
Better question is why wasnt the plan to just move to the seed bank? Bring some UV lights and make a garden inside the bank. I mean it turns out that it just so happens there was a crazy lady there I guess. But still, that is one problem to solve. Then had dozens in the base.
Svalbard is literally Norway, so saying this is not wrong, even if Svalbard is an island of its own, apart from mainland Norway.
@@Power5 I'm guessing not suitable conditions for living inside the seed bank, but otherwise I was asking myself the same thing, also because of the long night there.
@@Power5 Just finding soil to plant the seed in would be iffy.
The thing is, soil is filled with all kind of crap- all kind of microbes and bacteria, many of which are essential for plant life. Gama radiation would sterilize it.
Long term, Life isn't sustainable in such a world. Maybe some deep ocean life would make it, but the planet being bombarded with high levels of gamma radiation would make the earths surface completely uninhabitable for every living thing, plant or animal.
Jeez, where in norway did they land. I know we got lots of snow there, but-
I guess they landed in Svalbard or something.
Definitely Norway though, you can see it in the sky.
Yeah the global seed vault is in Svalbard so maybe it is Svalbard
Iam sorry but am I the only one who’d shoot the crazy lady on principle? I don’t care if you’re the chosen one, you just wiped out a good chunk of the worlds plant life and most likely either set back redevelopment or at worst she just got a lot of people killed either way, crazy or no she’s gotta go in my book.

those passenger sure bring calamities everywhere
Why on gods green earth would they keep the crazy narcissist woman alive? She’s a danger to herself, others and destroyed a good chunk of earths plant life. Iam sorry but that was dumb as hell. Why that girl had to handcuff that guy? No clue either. Why the military let them in? No clue either. How did the Russians find that bunker? No clue. Didn’t the say bunkers didn’t work and yet this one does? Yes but why does it work? No clue. Why all these idiots haven’t realized humanity needs more than a handful of people to have a stable population. they need to start prioritizing places that have reproductive resources available while the things preserving those resources are still functioning (by reproductive resources I mean sperm and eggs. I hope my comment doesn’t get shadow banned for talking like a adults)

Everyone is dumb in 2nd season. But thats what happens in such situations. This is basic panic psychology. Thats a kind of test too NASA astronaut scientists go through to check how mentally strong they are in such situations.
Gia is effected by being alone
Gia went to a remote bunker with less than 5 weeks worth of the medication she needed to preserve her sanity. How was she planning on refilling her prescription? Driving to CVS?

this movie is showing clearly how human beings can't work together even at a time of a disaster, completely annoying seeing how these people stupidly fight each other in times of a disaster it's not worth watching.
These movies are scarier then horror movies because of just the stress you can picture going through… I hate it SO much!
Well now you don’t really have to watch it I seen it all and this explains it perfectly
I like the reference to the Svalbard Global Seed Vault in this one cause it’s actually in Norway
they went from extremely smart and cooperative to ridiculously stupid and comically villainous, they should have left the series with the no clear ending of if they survived below the bunker, if they died of starvation or even if the light reflected by the moon could also kill them but slowly
Is there a part 4?
season 3 is not out yet
Instead of helping each other in this apocalypse. They are determined to kill eachother in every way possible. What an worst script.
So they didn't think of making a flamethrower when the mom and kid were locked in the room but only now do it?!
That one meme stuck in my head:"ow my god it's Albert Einstein, its Albert Einstein"🤣🤣🤣
You gotta do the yakamoz one...the Turkish spin-off of this series
Part 4 please 🙏
i liked Rick's character even in season 1. He is the one who is a teamplayer, not selfish and kind to others while others are losing it. Too bad he died.
no good deed goes unpunished.
The mic qulity could be better other than that great job
Rick a real legend 🥹🥹🥹
Goddamn it now we may never get a season 3
can we get the spin off series recap as well?
So a major plot point in the part 2 of this recap was that they couldn't find a flamethrower to open the door to the generator... but in this part, a guy made one out of the random materials in one room??? I would say that it has more holes than swiss cheese, but if swiss cheese had as many as this there wouldnt even be any cheese left.
we need dat part 4 son
the civilians messed up everything...
oh blame the civilians. lol. what about the russian military? they're screwing up too.

They should be worrying about their survival
not who’s boss
Like seriously and the fact that the soldiers immediately assumed some thing without any factual evidence is just 😐✋🏽
I know shows like this are genuinely just entertainment
but seriously in a situation like this
Id be trying to get as many people as possible and honestly try to make us work together because if we work together we are certain to survive
you find one of the bunkers you start planting things so you have a source of food so you don’t have to keep going in and out
I’d have teams
the food team
the research team
the building team
The mechanic team
Of course there’d be a person to help make sure everything‘s in check but they wouldn’t be considered the boss
Of course pregnant woman, children in general would be the first priority because if they’re only adults
we are bound to die we need a second generation to carry on
We cannot be the last of the human race
We need to prevail
I also see if there are any animals to make more of them for like livestock to
The rats are useful too because in some countries they still eat them
fry them up and some good food
And rats come in large quantities so a lot of them
to feed everybody
My Community will thrive cause I know what to do
And I’m simply not stupid
You need a clear and decisive call to be made quickly in emergencies and democracy and republicanism can’t do do that. Needless to say you also need to have the people who are making that call be competent. On a final note don’t assume anything or how things will go it will only hurt you in the end. People are crazy and sometimes things just don’t work out even when they should.
