The Fog came out in theaters on 2/1/1980 and the Star magazine is dated 2/12/1980 and was a weekly magazine(2/5/1980 was on Ebay at one point as was 2/12/80) so this is probably from between Feb 4- 11, 1980

Using Zach Horan's research and access to newspaper archives that I have access to, I was able to confirm the date of this Newlywed game episode to Thursday, February 7, 1980 at 7:30 PM PST. First off, despite that commercial showing the Miller's Oupost cowboys washing ashore of Honolulu, this episode was recorded off KTLA, Channel 5, Los Angeles. Checking the LA Times against the dates that Zack gave, and the promo of Kung Fu, that is at the 23:00 mark, shows the only days that Kung Fu aired that week was Tuesday, Feb. 5 and Thursday, Feb.7, and Kung Fu was airing at 9pm the day this was recorded.
A more detailed listing from the North County Times of Oceanside, CA has this listed for Kung Fu. Kung Fu- "The Way of Violence Has No Mind". Caine is mistaken for a Chinese bandit who robs from whites to give to beleaguered Chinese. That is exactly the plot of the episode of Kung Fu as shown in the promo, confirming the Thursday, Feb. 7 1980 airdate.
By the way, the original airdate for "The Way of Violence Has No Mind" was Thursday, January 24, 1974 at 9PM.
