Being a complete novice on this mode and the new owner of a CS700, I've found your video extremely helpful and as someone mentioned to me recently, repeated viewings start to put things into perspective. Thanks for taking the time and trouble to produce this guide, it's much appreciated.
Very informative and Thank You. From what I've heard, the CS 700 is no longer in production. The CS 750 has replaced it, very similar to the 700 including the programming. New to DMR and your video helped me out immensely, i needed to know where the DMR ID code went and that's the first thing you showed me... Perhaps an explanation of the HIGH/ LOW power setting would be helpful in your video. As my radio was set to LOW power and was not getting in to the local repeater, once set to HIGH I was fine.... "PARROT" is another feature worth mentioning, it lets you check your radio much in the way "ECHOTEST" does on Echolink.
+Robert Mitchum This video was meant as a programming video, not a feature video. I didn't mention the power setting because I assumed most people were familiar enough with it from analog radios that it didn't need to be mentioned. I don't remember what the wattage output is for the CS700 offhand for the low and high settings, but it should be in the specs section of the manual.
+Robert Mitchum Also, while Connect Systems is no longer selling the CS700, you'd be surprised how many request I still get for help programming it. :)
I know this is 9 months late from your original upload but man was this presentation absolutely fantastic! I originally programmed my MD-380 in a different way using the similar CPS and am having issues. I'm currently using your 1-1 system and will see how it goes once I flip over the new codeplug. I can't thank you enough for giving me more insight into the backend CPS quirks. 73 and hope to hear you on DMR soon. Spencer Rich KM4KFG LID#: 3112593
I need your help, i have some problems with my Kirisun dr7100 and cs700 are the same product with other names... The Software dont work on my pc. The Pc is running on Widows 7 and when i connect the kabel it dont do anything... On my Windows 8.1 laptop it runs perfectly.. have u any solutions ?
+Oliver Dristram The only thing that comes to mind is the USB driver for the radio. Even though some people say you don't need to install a driver for 64-bit Windows 7, I found I had to install it to get Win 7 to talk to my CS700. You may need to call the dealer or the manufacturer to get the driver or to troubleshoot further.
good grief!!..my brain must be set in it ways...found that really confusing..not your explanation..just the process of programming...especially the scanning channels...I think I need a good nights sleep and have another watch of this tomorrow!!!....thanks for posting.... :-)
