Hey guys! Thanks for being here! Sometimes we have to work with the kids on different things and we a little bit deeper on it in the podcast. Check it out in the description! Now, a more important question. Who do you think can get Tommy to smile the most??
Good morning!! Thank you for all who have prayed for my fertility! I’m PREGNANT!!!!! Please keep praying until I get out of the first trimester though! Also keep praying for my papa whose still battling brain cancer
Aww Jackson growing up, it’s tricky trying to get your kids to understand what discipline is all about, parenting is testing, mixture of all three children’s personalities in today’s video, Calvin being cute, Tommy being adorable & Jackson having a challenging day ( but also cute & adorable)...🇬🇧
Tommy looks like both of his brothers like one minute he looks like Jackson the next he looks alot like Calvin.. You guys are wonderful parents to 3 amazing little boys
Well done Ellie and Jared. I admire parents that actually "parent" and don't fear their children's positive or negative reactions! I parent 8 children daily ranging from age 1 to 11. It's tough work
This is so important! We've had challenging days in my house with my older niece (almost 6) and there have actually been times where I've had to say "okay, I think you need to go sit on your bed for a moment and calm down and then we can talk" to take her out of the situation so we can have a conversation about it. As kids get older, they get more independent and they want to take the lead on a lot of decisions. Obviously nobody wants to silence their voice or invalidate their opinion, but as adults we have to teach and guide them and sometimes that means having to make the choice for them. I'm sure it was a bit of a tough decision on your part whether or not to show this situation, but I'm grateful you did so other parents can take note of how they can handle similar situations if they're not sure how.
Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for treating your children with respect, and sitting down with them to explain so that they understand why you’ve made decisions, and why you’re doing what you’re doing. Children are so often discounted just for being kids, and they soooo want to just understand and be a part of family decisions. Love it!
Mean what you say and say what you mean. Great job sticking to what you say. My kids knew expectations before a situation occurred and they also knew what was or was not optional. There were a few times when we had complete meltdowns, but when they saw I wouldn’t budge, they understood the process. They’ve grown into fairly normal adults/teens so it didn’t damage them too much. 😉
Ellie, I just got done watching your Christmas video when you were a kid and saw the you got a Tommy doll from Rugrats and now you have your own Tommy :) I thought that was cute
Love you sweetheart the best thing about what day before world cup in Brazil 27th the miss you too. Today's announcement is a little afternoon at. Love you too much kwon guys have went on the 8th
Ellie and Jared I’m sure I have commented this before but I want to say what an inspiration you and your whole family have been, which is why I gave my little girl the name Ellie :) she is now 3
I love your form of discipline and love when you show it. Im a preschool teacher and love seeing parents who communicate with their kids to get them to understand why they are in trouble. ive seen too many parents just yell at their kids and kids dont always know what made their parents so mad
I love when you guys show how you parent. I'm sure majority would agree that we all respect how you both parent and I think you do a great job. I actually love seeing this. Thanks for sharing it! It helps me as a mother to remember how I should handle situations :)
i've been having a rough year. especially the first six months. You guys and my goddaughter and my amazing job are the only things making it a little easier to bear. Bless you ellie and jared 💜🙌🏻
So here I am, 24 years old. And I finally had my very first moment of being an uncool adult. Without giving away too much details; I had to deny a request as a consequence to some actions taken, reinforce rules and remind of manners and politeness with my niece. Sometimes the hardest moments are when you have to teach or discipline the young ones in your life. I love that you guys share these moments, they’re so relatable. You guys are just relatable
Omg parenting is harder than it looks! Lol before I had a baby I was like "if I were the mom I would do this or I would've done that" lol now it's a whole different ball game! And OMG I'm so going to listen to that podcast!
Nicole++Loves Right? I’ve seen some expecting parents on UA-cam that are so sure that they will do this or that and won’t budge one bit. I just laugh to myself and think “just wait”. 😂
I soooooooo LOVE how you handled the situation. And for allowing Jackson to be upset. A lot of parents don’t even let there kids have an opinion or be upset about certain things. (Rambling) it makes sense in my head. Anyway thank you
I love that you guys get down on their level and explain. I’ve already started doing this with my 16 month old. I know she doesn’t really comprehend what I’m saying now, but she is definitely learning to push buttons and she’s definitely smart enough to know when she’s being naughty. She will get that grin and just stare you down. I’m really hoping starting this early will help in the future. 😊❤️
I also grew up with 3 sisters & a brother. I absolutely cherish our childhood memories and as we grow older we’re having the times of lives! My brother & sister have passed and are missed daily. My older sister Marie and I will lay in bed and laugh 😂 until we hurt love those times!! She’s here now visiting from NJ. I love both of your families you all are so blessed! ❤️
Jared, I just have to say, I am loving your ‘salt n pepper’ hair right now - it looks so sharp! I know guys who dye their hair to look this way, and you are totally rocking it au naturelle - Ellie’s stylings add to the awesomeness too!! ☺️✌🏻🌟
I'm very thankful that you take the time to show us how you handle moments like that. It helps me to be calm and not over react. Thank you for being amazing role models and raising awesome kids, because of all your families the world is a better place ❤
I loved watching your vlogs so much. My favorite part is that Jackson and Calvin are so funny, trying to make Tommy to smile 😂. Happy Tuesday and have an amazing day with Jackson, Calvin, Tommy and Penny, Ellie & Jared 😁!
To this day..... My boys know when I say "choices", they say "consequences" 😉. They are 28 and 30 (well almost), hopefully they'll pass that down to their kids!!!😊 You're doin a fine job E&J ❗❗
Good job Jared for taking the time and explaining to Jackson, I just spent this labor day weekend with family and their kids and oh boy it was a big screaming fest, nobody knew how to talk they all just screamed, guess that's how they communicate but it was stressful to me, so high five to you
Beautiful example of FAMILY in this vlog....I think showing 'discipline' is not only good for your boys to also see in vlogs one day but it's also very important for the children you have as subscribers! When they see only fun and good times, and no limits or fair discipline,it makes them feel as if 'others' have better parents or better homes bc they never see the flip side of the discipline. So, thank you for showing a COMPLETE VIEW of families and raising children. That honesty was enduring to watch. God's Blessings to all....💛💛
Tommy is getting SO big!! I remember when he was just so teeny tiny!! Now he's gonna be 3 mos old in just a couple weeks!! Where does the time go!? I think that that is a great way to discipline/teach children. It makes things very clear for them. I'm happy to see that Jackson made the more fun choice!! (:
I think sometimes parents fail when disciplining in that they do not help their kids understand what they did wrong, why it was wrong, and what they must do to correct that act. The area that I'm VERY adamant in is apologizing. I have taught my kids the PROPER way to apologize that shows they acknowledge their act. They must stand and look the person in the eye and say, "______, I'm sorry for ___________". (name and the wrongful act are what are required where the blanks are). Even if an act was not intentional (i.e. accidental), they still have to apologize for it and no words describing it was an accident are allowed to be used as that would be getting out of admittance, acknowledgement, and genuine apologizing. Parents also make the mistake of giving too many options. They don't understand that doing so is overwhelming for young kids and also puts the kids in a position of thinking they are in control.
Jared I love the way that you parent even though I'm 15 years old you do so good my father and I had a horrible relationship he always beat me and just did it the wrong way everything I did or anything he would beat me not anymore though I love the way that your parents and your kids are going to grow up to be wonderful children and know right from wrong I can already see that in their eyes great job
What you guys are doing is what my mum did with me and my twin when we were kids, as would explain to us why we were in trouble and what our options where and it worked well and helped us understand better and cut down some of the frustration.
I'll be 22 this month and I've always hated wearing sunglasses. Now I'm thinking I should probably start. Just in the last yr I've already noticed a couple little lines that weren't there before. I can never find the right pair!
I've watched all 4 kids grow (that includes penny) I think as Tommy grows he looks for like Calvin but the eyebrows tell me that his personality Is gonna be more like Jackson and penny is so good around Tommy Ellie and jared you guys are good parents luv you guys soo much❤❤❤❤ur family is the best
Hey Jared and Ellie Could you make a video on everything penny knows and what she learned on her boot camp I recently got a puppy and wondering the things I should teach my new pup Thank you
I know you love it so much and I can so tell that Tommy does too, but I would get so anxious with my two wild toddlers constantly hovering over my new baby 😂
Its certainly hard work being a parent and you will have challenges with your children whatever their age but it is the most rewarding job to be a parent.
Poor Jackson! HOWEVER LIFE is hard and challenging. It's only going to get challenging for him from here on out. There will a lot more serious life lessons and curves/bumps in the road. The way my mom always taught me was it was be a dull world if everyone was the same. Great job Jared on getting down to Jackson's level
Hahaha! Cuddle sesh! I’m having the same little issues with my 6 year old son. He wants everything done his way. No matter how many times we explain things to him, he doesn’t like it. But we will get there. 🤞🏼
Hey guys! Thanks for being here! Sometimes we have to work with the kids on different things and we a little bit deeper on it in the podcast. Check it out in the description! Now, a more important question. Who do you think can get Tommy to smile the most??
