We felt so bad that Tommy had such a hard day. He's doing great now! It's never fun as a parent to have these days, but they DO happen and we wanted to show our experience with it. Ellie, maybe keep a food diary so then if Tommy starts being upset again you can look to see what you have eaten. If it's something different then maybe eliminate that for now and see if Tommy feels better? Hope you guys have gotten some more sleep! Exhaustion is my hardest part while having a newborn.
I know the feeling of wanting to cry when your babies are crying. So hard when they are feeling unwell and you just want to take their pain away and comfort them but you can’t. Tommy is a very loved little boy. ❤️

I’m not sure if you guys will read this but my 1 year now used to suffer a lot from stomach problems (gasses,colic, etc) she wouldn’t poop for 2-3 days and that had her really uncomfortable. I tried everything Ellie did with her knees, stomach massage , watch my diet (since I’m breastfeeding) and nothing seemed to work. Then I found the FRIDABABY WINDI !!!! And OMG can I just say that helped me tremendously!!!!!!!! My baby was able to poop instantly and take all the gasses out !!!! All I did was, when I saw her uncomfortable and had not poop in a day or so, I will get one of those little tubes, put coconut oil around it and put the little tip in her booty and boom she would take all the gasses out or poop, so be careful because it can get messy. She slept like a baby !!!!! She felt soooo much better, she ate, slept and smiled all day long !
I’m not a professional or anything but that’s what helped me ! Maybe you can give it a try. It does not hurt them, is like when they take their temperature from their booty.

Oh yeah Angelica , I tried chia and a bunch of stuff but it seem to not work as fast as the WINDI , it might take 2-3 days of suffering for the baby :(

*BIG internet hug* my son had this, i absolutely understand. I cried with him all the time, i cannot even express the frustration and heart break. What worked for us was gripe water, then prune juice when he got a bit older. I kept a good stock of prune juice, and gave him some after every feeding.

How to solve baby constipation! My kids had this and I got taught something by a reflexologist, that worked every time! Have Tommy in front of you, so you can see the soles of his feet. On the left foot you rub a ‘C’ shape from the bottom of the arch to the big pad under the big toe. Then on the right foot, you do the opposite, so that it looks like a full circle. It encourages the digestive tract perfectly! It saved me having to give my baby unnecessary medications. Please google it if you want further clarification on how to do it, I described it as best I could.

Sorry about Tommy's GI troubles--had that issue with our son, as well. We tried glycerine suppositories, which helped so much - didn't have to use them much, but when we did, they worked like a charm!! Also...YAY! for the cookbook!!

Aw poor tommy! It frustrated me so much when my boy was in pain and I didn’t know why! He ended up having reflux but man. Watching him go through that and not knowing why killed me!
Brittany and Michael Vlogs my youngest has it as well. He’s 5 months old and we still need to keep him on his meds. Whenever I try and see if he’ll be ok without them (since a lot of babies outgrow the need by about now) he is a different baby!

I totally cry when my kids cry. Poor baby. So much love to you both. Colic Calm I could only get at CVS but it was a life saver when my kids were feeling this way. Very different than normal gripe waters or whatever
I had my son this April. When he was Tommy's age, he struggled with purple crying. It is better now that he is a few months older. It was just a difficult phase. Glad Tommy is doing better now.
I understand what you’re going through! My son had tummy issues for the first 3 or 4 months. Praying you guys catch up on some lost sleep and for Tommy’s little tummy. I also ordered the cookbook! So excited to see it. The pages you previewed are gorgeous. 😊
I'm a NICU nurse. A rectal temp will work almost every single time. Sometimes they just need help getting started and it works well. If not, you can always do a bit of a glycerin suppository. Ask your ped for dosage. But the recital temp is the absolute best thing in my opinion.

We had tummy troubles with our babies too. We found that when we held them in our arms but flipped over ( belly supported by mamas hand, head in the crook of the elbow) it gives them slight pressure on their bellies from gravity and they can work things out better. Hang in there!
Tommy is growing so much! I haven't watched in a few weeks, and he looks wonderful. I hope his belly settles down soon.

As a NICU and newborn nursery nurse, we give the babies an infant glycerin suppository when they are constipated. I did the same with my 4 ( now all grown) children. If they aren't wanting to eat, they get dehydrated which makes it even harder for them to poop.
Awe Ellie I’m sorry Tommy was having such a hard time my oldest had so many problems as a new born going poop too, sending prayers of relief for his little tummy 🤗 and some much needed rest for mom and dad ♥️

My daughter used to have the same problem as your little Tommy when she was also a newborn. We gave her a little teaspoon of Olive oil with a little bit of salt. Her stomach felt better in minutes! I hope he feels better soon💙

If Tommy has trouble with his stomach again, give him cloudy juice. Normally cloudy pear juice. Mum’s a midwife and that’s what she said to do when my cousin had a problem with his baby. It just has to be cloudy, doesn’t matter the juice.

Gripe water helps! Soooo much. It’s like gas drops but natural. I used it a bunch with my baby when he had tummy troubles. It was a miracle.

Don't forget about the witching hour, my son never had it but my daugter does and it starts for her around 7:30pm so I feed, swaddle, paci, and pat hr back. She falls asleep fast!:) Prayers for TJ!!!!

Fennel tea! Excellent for gas and tummy stuff for babies! Total life saver when my son was a baby! Boil some water and add 4 fennel seeds, boil for 10 min.... let cool and let Tommy sip a little at a time. Hope he feels better soon x

Poor little Tommy! So glad he is doing better! I hope you don't mind, but I want to share with you that if he gets constipated, my breastfeeding counselor gave me some great advice with my little one! She told me to give my baby 1/2 teaspoon of the dark Karo syrup in his bottle to loosen his stools. If, after a couple of hours, it doesn't work, give him a little more. It always worked with my little one. So glad to hear he is doing better! Great job, E + J
Whenever he’s constipated just rub his heels and put pressure on his heels he will poop within an hour!!! Please LIKE so she see’s this!!

It’s reflexology that works with pressure points. So when you rub the heels and put pressure on the heels with your thumb it relieves the gas. Works like a charm. But I suggest not doing it if you plan on going out somewhere right after... or bring an extra outfit to change 😂 the blowout will happen.

There is something to this. There are a lot of acupressure points (the heels included) that stimulate the digestive track to get things moving.
A warm bath often helps the tummy. You need to submerge them in enough water that it covers their entire tummy. They like to kick in the water too so the kicking motion and the warm soothing of the water generally helps them release gas and/or poop a bit after the bath.

Hello guys... seeing your difficulties with Tommy´s poop, I remembered of some tips, back in the days when my kids were babies, and two things used to work in this particular cases, the first one is 1 teaspoon of mineral oil, and a lot of tummy massages will soften the poop. The second thing that used to work is fennel tea and chamomile tea for release gases that may ache the baby belly. I hope I´ve helped. Love you guys!!!

When I and my cousins had problems with our tummy, we got baby suppositories and fennel tea helps perfectly to release gas, even for an adult. But he might be too young for that! 🤔 Good luck! 🍀 It makes me sad, when I see and hear a baby cry! I send love and strength! ❤️

When my nephew was a newborn he was constipated all the time we would warm up a water bottle and roll it on his tummy and it helped sooooo much.

I was just reading a book about baby’s needs to cry, to release some tension that comes from daily living, emotions and all kind of new situations...maybe it helps (I know that it’s hard to hear your babies cry) to release some pain...nerves (nerves, stress) of unnecessary tension causes tummy problems...so I hope this helps you.. when I first let my baby to cry for two minutes, it was hard...with no swinging or any support for the baby, just hear her/him...let them know with calm voice that you are there...that’s all...and after my baby was calm, problems disappeared...I repeated this every day night time, because then she showed up her tummy problems...(it lasted about two weeks, then she got used to new things, voices or situations)...so it wasn’t the tummy, it was the Need to just cry...sometimes so simple jet so small to notice 💗💗💗💗much love..

I hope Tommy is doing better now! I’ve got three boys myself (they are a lot older though 15 (Down’s syndrome), 12 and 11). And it is hard having days like this with your little ones.
Try 1/4 of a tum crushed up and dissolved in a few drops of water. It works wonders! And offers a small bit of calcium

Dr. also told me that when babies get constipated can use gas relief drops and then just a little bit of water in his bottle will help the digestive system. poor tommy. I am sorry to hear about little Tommy's tummy issues. We used gripe water, gas drops and had to eliminate dairy from my diet to help with those issues. I hope he feels better today!

When my siblings used to have constipation in their eatly weeks. My grandma used to massage their tummy with some oil. It really helps.
