Not one word spoken, very informative, and no weak ass music blasting. Quite possibly the greatest UA-cam video ever made..
Excellent video. Very informative and no silly music or unnecessary talking. Just information. Well done!
I fully agree with this comment too ! All action and no excessive talking or stupid music in the background

6 years old and still very informative and interesting.
I hope you still shoot slingshots ;)
Good instructional video! (Almost) Everything you need to get shooting full butterfly! I said almost seeing you can't give us the practice to get your accuracy! Your "crazy fast bands" ROCK! Thanks for sharing the knowledge gained from all your testing! Really shortens the "learning curve" for the rest of us!
Anyone wanting to make a instructional video about a physical topic would do well to see yours first. I learned a lot. Very well done. Thanks!
Hello,
I`m right handed and left eye dominat. The left eye thing is the reason for holding my slingshot with the right hand. If you are right eye dominat, you can/should hold the slingshot with your left hand.
Best regards
Torsten
Everything is said. Even without music and language. Thanks for the video 👍
perfect video. No mindless jibber-jabba-pap…just shows what viewers want to see. Thanks.
I am 90% sure I would slice my face open doing that...
Very well done on the form, and VERY well done video also!
Facts, details, paperwork only true explanation with no bullshit or background music and trash talk ,, GOOD WORK
Outstanding,very Zen like style,love it!
Thankyou for an excellent tutorial. I will watch it again and again until I can add "butterfly" as a shooting option. Very impressive.
the most best informative youtuber best smarter ever without lot of crap bla bla bla ....thank you ytube for recommended this to me ...sorry my broken language....🙏🙏🙏😃😃😃😃

Where is tis guy now?
Awesome shooting!
pouch hold 2 looks like its gonna bump.. do you aim different for each pouch hold types? maybe it does bump, but as your bands are so long it bumps clean over the tight forks.. try those with a non curvy thumb (lolz, yours are almost a semi circle)
141m/s is crazy! great shooting as always
Devan
Excellent video Torsten! I hold the pouch the way you showed in view 2. Nice job Bud!
Excellent tutorial.
Very helpful. I appreciate the close-ups.
Excellent silent film! Great job!
Bear 911
He is awesome and intelligent. We used to discuss designs and styles in Joerg Sprave's slingshot forums. All his videos are silent like this. All of a sudden he stopped posting, wonder what happened, now back after 5 years... must try communicating with him again.
when you aim in butterfly style, does the band actually contact your cheek? Like an anchor point...
Your anchor point is the bands gently touching your cheek hairs, so there is no contact whatsoever
Good video, thanks bro..
@experiment5113
I use this style because it delivers much more speed at the same draw weight.
I think that increases MY accuracy - the more draw weight, the more shaking the slingshot...
But I think the short draw style is not less accurate. It`s a question of personal preferences and, yes, practice
Regards
Классный трудовик, жаль, в своё время у нас таких небыло
@chillmagicboy
same at me: I`m right handed and hold the slingshot in my right hand, draw with the left.
It has something to do with the dominant eye: the left eye is my dominant eye, so I can have a better view at the target when I draw with the left hand.
Regards
Torsten
Does band placement make any difference when you are aiming? Over the top/side/inside?
Great video.
How close to your ear? (seems to almost touch it)
You explain draw, grip, and flip very well.
But how do you aim and find a consistent anchor point with this style?
Quite graceful, actually.
Great vid.
"THWACK!"
you aim with the fork , with the bands like an archer aims with an arrow, or with habit/instinct ?
Very nice shot
Nice! You got it!
Best regards
This should be titled "CIRQUE DU SOLEIL", pinkie style!
Good work!!!
If you use TB blue for high speed bands it last much longer than TBG.
It makes not much difference if you use it for slow target bands. The advantage from TB blue: you need much less draw weight to get the same speed as with TBG bands.
The advantage from TBG: you don`t need multiple layers to make a (target) band.
@fuhrmeisters1
Yes, it happens from time to time that the pouch touches my cheek after the release. But not very painful :)
Yes its blue TB. It performes superb - very easy to draw with the same and better output like thicker band materials.
Hey man, Thats cool...i shoot with a slingshoog...You need many practize....Respekt.
Gutes Video. Danke.
@Flatband
Thanks Gary!
I do not know any other shooter holding the pouch like view 1 - instead of me!
I think the second way is more accurate but I don`t come along with it :(
Great shooter a really gentleman
Thanks for your advice. Could you recommend any others for about the same price
Thanks sooooo much
Torsten, what exactly are you lining up or aiming? Are you looking over the top of the slingshot or looking through between the two posts or are you just looking at the target and shooting instinctivly?
Barry
nice teaching
i heard that if your right handed you hold the slingshot with your left hand but i'm right handed and feel for comfortable holding it in my right hand and pulling the rubber thingy with my left hand ?
Is it something that i have to get use to cuz it has benefits?
I hope you're doing well.
Do you anchor the bands to your cheek or is there no anchoring to the face at all?
Thanks,
THWACK!
How do you aim how do you get anchor point correct every time? I believe I can do it n figure out my self I am just curious if you have a specific way obv I know about normal short style shooting catty short draw I shoot ott using top edge of fork tip for reference point and my anchor point is index knuckle in my nostril and my thumb nail in corner of my mouth at edge of my lip I change elevation with different ammo weights Ido what works for me as it seems to work for me all the time etc so I'm guessing with full butterfly draw maybe the centre of your body your head maybe your nose acts as a type of anchor showing you you have correct elevation I have no clue I'm guessing as I go am I nearly correct or as am I totally no where near correct... I love learning I only got my first catty last month but been educating myself for months before that listening to the slingshot gurus advice and reading convos on forums about dif tapers etc and it so interesting it really has so
Many variables it is a science even down to temperature tapers and band thickness and ammo size weight and material all at significant role in how the ballistics will register AWESOME bro stay blessed from the uk.....PEACE
a question: have you ever hit your head using this style. I really think it is possible.
btw, it looks so easy to shoot in this way. nice and informative vid
@fluteplayer38
I hold the slingshot sideways while shooting.
I do not really aim, I`m a more instinctive shooter. I bring the bands exactly in one line with the target and then I focus the target and see the slingshot in the edge of my sight. When I have the feeling I have the right position (hight of the slingshot) I do release the shot.
The point of the release is more a thing of the right feeling for me.
I tried to aim earlier, but it doesn`t work for me.
Regards
Torsten
1611torsten I agree when I shoot butterfly I don’t really aim I just point the top band at the target and usually it hits
9 năm trước kìa. Việt Nam đâu rồi ae slingshot😍
hello.
after one week of training and one bad release ( injured face) i am now shooting on 50m cca 35-37cm circle. the nearest shot to the point of aim is 21cm.
i have got pocket poacher II - dankung. i dont know bands ( from czech factory) and shooting bearings 14mm. i must to learn my brain to remember the elevation. on 20m i have a 20cm circle group. your video helps me to learn this style. cheers Peter
How the heck do you not snap your face at all? I tried this a few times and the bands popped my face. Also i cant seem to look down the band and aim the same way as normal with this butterfly style...how to aim?
can this truley prevent my round from back firing into my face?
When do you "flick" your wrist? as soon as you let go or a little after?
I like see you shoot with tree thera band gold strikes like me, in the butterfly mode! nice accuracy
Thank you so much!🍻
@BardofCornwall
Thanks - hope this vid encourages a few shooters to try this style.
Regards
hi there im new to shooting with a catapult had it bout 6 weeks use it most days but I am right handed and right eye dominant but I hold with right and pull back with left .if im wrong tell me because try get out of bad habbits
thanks guys
Just got a pro diablo finding it big and hard to use. Do you think I should get a game keeper to try?
Yes, why not. They are cheap, simple and seem to be solid.
@pombos007
short distances: instinctiv
long range: something between aim and instinctiv
Spettacolo, che misura la banda e che taglio e sfere?
These are a few of my selfmade slingshots. Made out of natural forks - different types of wood.
Regards
I have to ask, how do you avoid stinging your face or after a lot of practice you learn to not shoot your face?
Some explanation behind why you use this technique would be helpful to avoid some questions. Interesting style which I have not seen before. Thanks for sharing.
Not the uploader, but more draw length gives you much higher speed, without increasing the draw weight.
Is TB Gold the same as TB yellow, I bought TB red thinking it was stronger than gold is that true or am i getting stuff mixed up?
Ok - thanks a lot!
Best regards
Torsten
...That front view still made me flinch
Hi mate,great video,ive just started using slingshot again on our farm for pest control,but i cant hit a dam thing lol,i use the butterfly style but just cant get my aim in(not even at 10 yards,i keep shooting all around the target),,can you help please??
cheers,all the best wayne(scotland,uk).
What are the largest steel balls you will use with this style of shooting?
My smallest steel ball which I will use for hunting is 12.7 mm what people know as 1/2 inch steel balls. Those bands are incredibly fast *wow* fast.
wow! What style slingshot is that? I'm just a novice.
@SchwarzerKanal110
Yes, the speed is amazing!
Have fun again and shoot save...
Regards
Yep, I want speed too...
And accuracy of course!
A good pocket shooter!
Hi, I'm new to the world of slingshots and thought the idea was to keep your front hand still but you seem to be flicking it forwards..... Why do you do this and should I be doing this?
Yes!
Yes.
@fuhrmeisters1
Indeed!
Regards
What if it hits your ear or finger?
I just hit the side of my neck
It will hurt and you get a bruish mark
@@svent1000 ...and you will learn to hit the target instead...
Well that steel ball almost touches your face... it's not for me, thanx... btw, how many times did you shoot in your face with this "style"?
Does your face touch the bands? Is that safe?
Werde ich auch mal ausprobieren müssen :D
Does theraband blue have a shorter life span than TB gold?
why not using the Theraband Gold?
Please tell me what is for a gum on the slingshot ? thx :) R
@SchwarzerKanal110
They are both very common and I will not say this or that style is better. It is just a question of personal preferences and you can shoot very accurate with both styles.
Regards
@SchwarzerKanal110
No, nearly every common slingshot design is ok. Even with a very small gap between the forks.
But you need longer bands for this style. Something around 25cm effective band length. A bit more for less speed and longer band life,a bit less for more speed and less band life.
Regards
If I'm shooting 9mm what size hole would you recommend in the pouch?
6mm
ลีลาดุเดือดแต่ละคน ต้องจำไปฝึกมั่ง 555
how long your tapered bands resist?
Honestly I feel like the only comfortable way to shoot flat bands is to shoot butterfly because other shorter lengths of band make me feel restricted while using butterfly makes shooting feel very natural and easy to shoot and be accurate as well
@SchwarzerKanal110
Ja, Geschwingigkeitsplus bezahlt man beim Schleudern mit einem Minus bei der Haltbarkeit der Bänder. Daran lässt sich leider nichts ändern - bislang. Aber das ist es mir wert!!
I find it difficult to do this without smacking myself on the face, it is because I am not lining it up right, but it is a most powerful shoot style, even with small calibre ammo it could deal out serious damage at long range, must keep practicing
Vim pelo senhor do estilingue
Can you tell me where i can buy this fastbands online. thanks
una pregunta cual es el punto de mira o como apuntas tengo experiencia con otros modelos pero a este se me ha hecho difícil encontrar el punto de mira te agradeceria si me ayudas
How do you aim?
You even not necessarily need a "fork"! In Africa they use only a stick with a rubber band as a slingshot. And this thing is also rebuild by other slingshooters - it works - even without a fork.
