Templar = may the father of understanding guide us
Assassin= what the hell are you saying dude
Templar = none of your godamm business
Finally someone who has the sense to see the cult/order are separate entities Could you cover eagle bearers in a lore explainer?
Anyone who pays attention knows this. The Cult was completely destroyed and never recovered. Aspasia (who survives per canon) likely joined up with them and convinced them of her plan, which explains why The Order eventually supports Alexander the Great (Aspasia mention a Philosopher King, many historians called his father this). We still don't know how Cleopatra got the Hidden Blades, or how Alexander the Great got the staff, so there is plot potential there. Not to mention that Origins gave us Amunet, Odyssey gave us Darius. Both of which were in the Monteriggoni vault. Guess who else was down there. Iltani, who killed Alexander the Great.
pro trick: watch series on kaldroStream. Been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Dwayne Kristopher Yea, I have been watching on kaldrostream for since december myself =)
@Dwayne Kristopher Definitely, I have been using Kaldrostream for since november myself :)
@Dwayne Kristopher Yup, I have been using Kaldrostream for since december myself =)
Loves it when you explained the origins of the Order of Ancients. Now it should be explained in some future game.
Thanks Ethan, I’m glad you’ve explained it because Ubisoft don’t!
@political pelicanI have 100 hours on the game and never saw it. Feels like it wasn’t meant to be easily accessible
It just dawned on me what if Layla was playing as Desmond playing as Connor/Ezio/Altair all along how far could that go? Heh
Late but explain
@@brendanmuller7301 Basically she would synchronize with Desmond's memories and at some point she would also synchronize with Connor/Ezio/Altair because Desmond also used the animus.
Imo AC Origins is 1000 times better than Odyssey. I found Odyssey to be a boring grind fest. I still haven't beaten it and I got it on launch day.
PEPE Launch day doesn’t matter I guess. Origins is bit better but “1000” I can’t tell if you are joking on that. I’ll say 4 times better than odyssey is all.
They both got own environment. But origins is a beautiful game, I just find Ancient Greece in odyssey boring...
@@bruh_3139 yeah I was over exaggerating on the 1000 times better statement. I just enjoy origins better, odyssey felt like too much of a chore to me.
@@3vro833 Its not necessarily grindy but if you want to do everything it's a bitch. And even if you want to do all the main story that's long as shit. I think it's a great game maybe even alot better than Origins if you cut out the filler
Yes, Origins is definitely a lot better than Odyssey.
finished this week. 100 fucking hours later and I'm seen over 50 side quest pending.
What if the smek Egyptian guy is the father of understanding?
King Smenk.
I’m pretty sure the father of understanding is actually Cain since the the Templar cross is called the mark of Cain
In Origins Septimius called Caesar the father of understanding
@@travonoski5225 Exactly.
Will Truszewski did people really not catch that in the game? I heard it and thought “finally we know who that is”
Bayek is the father of the brotherhood and most badass assassin in the series and you cant argue
Might be my favorite ac lore video
Despite the changes Ubisoft has done for the Assassins Creed series as a whole, I'm actually digging the Order of Ancients tie ins, especially now with the Legacy of the first Blade DLC so far, it's helping make an overarching narrative once again. Really hoping they delve further into this for the next main title
Before Origins and Odyssey, I always had the impression that the assassin/templar conflict began during Adam and Eve's freedom and reign. Was disappointed to know that this wasn't the case.
@@SH3RIFFO I can definitely understand that, It's both implied and practically said at one point after getting all those hidden glpyths that Adam and Eve were like the first assassins, but obviously that was before they decided to go further back in history for these games than Altiers time. In a very loose based defense for what Ubisoft seems to be doing, kinda at least makes sense to say that people like Darius, Adam & Eve, Kassandra etc. although not part of the brotherhood, were on the side of what the Assassins stand for, in a way
Hey
I think origins has better graphics than odyssey
I am crazy?
Don't know about consoles but the PC version's graphics of Odyssey looks overall better than Origins apart from the janky facial animations.
Overall Odyssey's performance is better than Origins as well.
Some environmental textures like large rocks looks a bit off for me but that was also an issue in Origins.
Though physics like fire was a bit more realistic in Origins.
@@penumbrum3135 i dont know
But origins was more realistic and looked better
@@geraltofrivia7448 Ubisoft Quebec said that they wanted to create a mythical ancient Greece so realism wasn't their top priority.
They made statues much bigger than what they actually were for example and many of the locations didn't exist in real life.
I think it is the architecture and the atmosphere that they created which makes it feel less realistic.
While Origins felt a bit darker and more gritty,Odyssey is much more vibrant and colorful which isn't something I personally associate AC with.
I love AC the most when it's atmosphere feel a lot darker both in the world and narrative but Odyssey felt more like a comedy compared to the others.
@@penumbrum3135 i meant the graphics
In origins they were more life like and sharper
Odyssey feels blurry in a way
@@geraltofrivia7448 On what platform did you play it?
Didn't Septimius confirm at the end of Origins that Caeser was 'The Father of Understanding'? He said that during his fight with Amunet in Rome, right before Amunet assassinated Caeser.
But if the cult didnt know about the order, than why did the oracle tell leonidas that xerxes would unite them?
coincidence maybe...?
@Robert Phillips the order was much older tho too bad the new ac fans don't know about the original lore
Valhalla explains alot its so interesting
I would arguably say that the Order of Ancients, after the Children of Cain, are the oldest proto-Templar group. My own theory on their history between Odyssey and Origins: I wouldn't be surprised that thanks to Alexios/Kassandra's disruption of the Cult and Aspasia's crazy dream of a philosopher-king to rule over Greece, THEN the Order moved into Greece since their rivals were more or less neutralized and possibly absorbed what knowledge the Cult's own discoveries on the Isu. Perhaps after Kassandra/Alexios left to travel the world or remained within Atlantis to safeguard it for a time, the Order, seeing their greatest rival disappear, moved in.Then between possibly assimilating or destroying the remnants of the Cult of Kosmos, the Order remained quiet behind the scenes of Greek society until the rise of Alexander the Great, seeing in him a potential way to further find more Isu artifacts and reconnect with the leftover Persian members of the Order back home - only that went awry when Iltani poisoned Alexander the Great and the four generals fought over the remains of his empire. After that time, I theorize the Order, seeing both Greece and Egypt as waning super powers under the Antigonids and Ptolemies while the Seleucids slowly lost their Asian territories, began to send members into Rome since the Roman Republic's power was steadily growing while continuing to draw on Greeks and Egyptians alike in Ptolemaic Egypt before discovering the Apple of Eden. After that, their most significant gains were steady consolidation in Ancient Egypt and murdering Bayek's father before the Egyptian rite of the Order was annihilated by the Hidden Ones, after which they rebuilt when Caesar defeated Ptolemy.
That about covers the Order's history from after 422 B.C. - 38 B.C. If you read all of this, you are a trooper :P
Mark Antony could be a member of the order of Ancients and would have tried to obtain the apple through power marrying Cleopatra, whilst Caesars son with the aid of cult of kosmos destroy Mark Antony and Cleopatra thereby ending the orders power, that's where they learn about the orders purpose and then their main objective changes to acquiring pieces of Eden and destroying the Tainted ones, they later become templars
@@arvindsrivatsav5916 Well Antony and Cleopatra were allies of the Order, but by the time of 31 BC the Order was being led by Octavian (aka Augustus). Also, the Cult of Kosmos (depending on if Aspasia or remnants of the Cult tried to resurrect it) probably would have been subservient to the Order or part of it. Cleopatra's son, Ptolemy XV Caesarion, didn't survive Octavian's occupation of Egypt in 30 B.C. But you are right, both the Cult and the Order were early incarnations of the Templar Order, although I theorize that perhaps it was mainly the Order of the Ancients that evolved into the Templar Order by the 12th century within Outremer, the Latin realms in Palestine under Bernard of Clairvaux.
Why in the world will Children of Cain be proto order of ancients or Templar
ancients and Templar are not rebellious like Cain
If anything children of Cain are proto assassins ideology
Order of ancients and Instruments of the first will are pro ISU control
Aka worship and service as originally intended.
Not like Cain at all
Did you beat Origins? The Father of Understanding is explained by the end of Origins.
No that's Septimius' interpretation.
I think it'd be really cool if they did an infinity War-like story where the Templars successfully control the world, and the assassins have to stop them. In this, we would see whether or not the Templars philosophies are indeed true or wrong. This would actually be a cool ending to the series
Agent X A modern day story where the Assassins have little to no power until Desmond did his things, and now with an Apple they get rid of Templars and take Britain, the US, the Russia etc back from the templars.
almost 100k!! Congrats mate!
Can you do one about the Cult Of Kosmos
A bit of an addition during ayas fight with septimius at the end of the game he says ceasar is the father of understanding
you should make a video about cult of kosmos
COK and OOTA both influenced the creation of the Templars in my opinion.
Yeah I haven't finished the game yet but I'm guess your kill off most of the cult by the end so then the order probably moved in and absorbed the remaining members and their knowledge
Maybe they should rethink the name. Shortening that to COK is the biggest fail ever.
bcfb21 I'm not sure if they even realized that's what it shortens to 😂
I love how this video explains even more how you have to pay for anything assassin's creed related in an assassin's creed game.
In the mechanism under the sphinx the ISU clearly say that seeking ORDER ruined them. They ask for disobedience from Layla against the written code and of course Abstergo. The layering is pretty awesome.
Maybe Adam and eve?
Fuck can we just de-canonise Legacy of the First Blade
I find the Cult to be more confusing and their motives to be less clear than those of the Order
They just want power over everything honestly
it's cheesy but it works
@@dnobody3159 But at the same time they wanted to bring chaos to a world of supreme order, henceforth the reason they caused the Peloponnesian war. The Cult of Kosmos is all over the place in regards to their motives and it really doesn't work.
@@brandenwalton2914 well it was enough reason for me to kill them
never really thought about it too hard, didn't feel the need to
@@dnobody3159 That's fair enough, but in a game where they emphasize the philosophical and ideological purposes behind the actions of the antagonists and the protagonists? It's a bit convoluted and weak if you ask me.
@@brandenwalton2914 that's true
I always felt like overthinking somethings ruins the fun for me but yeah you make a fair point
I kinda thought it would have been cool if Darius was a born member of the Order of the Ancients, and at first he followed it without question since it was how he was raised and over time he saw the countless atrocities and came to the realization he had to stop it
Darius was never a member of the Order of Ancients, Darius, Amorges and Pactyas acted against it when they first discovered its existence and killed Xerxes I. After this Darius was set on assassinating Artaxerxes I, his son, who was only a child. This swayed Amorges and Pactyas towards the order.
Fizhy I know man, It was just an idea that one of their own slipped past their control and eventually became an inspiration I think is the right word for the founding of the order that would become their greatest adversary across the ages, I hope I articulated that well
ps there was no Assassin's Creed back then, they called the Hidden Ones back then.
sick video bro!
Pretty cool that both the assassin and templar orders were born in egypt
I always assumed that the father of understanding was Julius Caesar, especially since he was proclaimed as such towards the end of origins while playing Aya/Amunet.
Maybe it is amorges I don't know I totally spelt that wrong
@@andrewlawton562 Nah, it was definitely Julius Caesar since his influence was a significant part of why the Order of the Ancients influence grew across Europe.
Ah shit I thought it was another interesting rdr2 vid but oh well. I'll watch this too cos I love the content
Ur AC vids are awesome
Ubisoft need to put odyssey in the fucking bin
Hey Fizhy! Between Odyssey and Origins events, The Order was supposed to control Alexander the Great, giving him the Staff of Eden to create his empire. I think it will be possible to see that somehow in a video-game or in any material related to the lore (like comics).
Possible. Odyssey gave us Darius, Origins gave us Amunet. The game revolving around Alexander the Great would give us Iltani who was also a statue under the Villa in AC2.
Origins is still better than Odyssey no cap
Can someone please explain how the Order of the Ancients was not disbanded when all the members were killed in Egypt?
you should have 1 mil - 100 mil subscribers right now
Let’s get to 100K before PewDiePie hits 85 million
How have you still not reached 100k subs?
Edit: Congrats!
I velieve in Origins they explain that Caesar himself is "The Father of Understanding"
King Smenk might be the father of understanding, but it probably is just an idea.
AN ASSASSINS CREED VIDEO? Danm thought you where accually done with AC vids
Maybe we could see later in the odyssey dlc the order of ancients infiltrate the cult of kosmos because they acknowledge it as being powerful in the first episode of the dlc
The order an cult work together if you don’t wipe out the cult before the dlc
Why does this video have no views it almost a year old
The tainted ones are children of these fallen angels….nephilim
Finally something other than red dead thank you

Did you leave out the hidden ones dlc that could have been something to add in the video
It's Seh-mehn-care (I think, I know I'm close but I can't remember the exact way to say it, I just know someone told me how to actually say it at one point).
It was started by Gavin

i just wanted to tell you...
that this video isn't about rdr2

That is All.
hey fizhy, do you "like" ezio?
Why didn't you just wait until Legacy of the First Blade was completed. Surely they will give us some more insights there. (Hopefully)
Might fill the blank on why they wound up back in Egypt, but I doubt that. We got the origins from Hunted and beforehand.
MaByE gAvIn Is ThE fAtHeR oF uNdErStAnDiNg!!
The order originated truly from Cain after killing his brother Abel over jealousy as Adam and Eve gave Abel the Apple of Eden as means to look after, call it a responsibility of chosen one( just a biblical fact for the fun of it in Genesis the 1st book of the bible Cain killed Abel because God burned Abels sacrificale lamb over his vegetables which threw him in a fit of rage and jealousy) any ways after a killing his brother he fled with the apple but not before Adam finds out and cursed him and branded him traitor but Adam thus orders his followers no harm shall become on his son as he still loved him. After a time Cain now punished to barren outlands away from his mother and father he soon bore children from one called Lusia and thus created the order but he named it the children of Cain and set out a centurion task of finding isu artifacts to bring order and to defy his parents vision of free will. Cain, remember is the son of Adam and Eve which makes him the product of isu-human hybrids so he had dna that allowed him to live for a very long time and in his many years of search he then gained the name Master Mahan meaning Moon-like this symbolic meaning in his name also has a purpose of telling that the order is casting light from the dark to control the world (just like how the moon controls the tide of the seas). After some time his legacy was lost as many stood against him and his followers and thus he orders his followers or children if you will to disperse with the artefacts and hide them in places where no ordinary human can reach. But thats just my theory on who created the order of Ancients 🙂
So is the good ending to ac odyssey cannon?
What's the name of the song in the intro?
Wtf why there assassin's creed on my rdr2 channel.....
where did you learn this???
1:43 legacy of the first blade?
Yeah
Love God
So darius the great was an assassin
I thought this was a rdr2 vid
So the cult and the order of ancients are basically the same...
No, did you even watch the video? They are separate with different goals.
@@SH3RIFFO The cult and the order originally had the same ideas... but then the cult became corrupt... And yes I watched the vid and he said that the order knew the existence of the cult but the cult didn't...
No the order wanted to control the world so that it might have peace under one dynastic power just like the templars which the order are essentially early versions of while the cult is a group who sought to create chaos in order to take control.the cult of kosmos are not templars there a separate entity altogether
Didn't the father of understanding originate from Julius Ceaser?
It's unconfirmed and likely Septimius' mere interpretation.
