force GPU rendering may hamper the longevity of the phone

i actually had that phone right before i got this sony xperia. ya its a pretty nice phone.it doesnt lag,takes decent video and pics,and can take 2d games...and the sound is just AMAZING when u play music.basically its a decent but fun phone:)
Force GPU rendering is only used for the UI, not for the game that are mostly using opengles anyway. So doing so will probably break down some application that does not work with it. It basically mean to render the UI of application using opengl instead of software rendering. It has not bearing with game that uses opengles.

beach buggy is a queitly heavy game i find for phones, this phone does do great, for a budget phone

Play Dead Trigger it skips some frames. Its not meant to play hardcore, its mostly a phone for people who just want to rock Angry Birds and use a phone that works. Its the same phone as the Experia Tipo, the only difference is this is a 1ghz vs a 512mhz on the Tipo. It uses Open GL ES 2.0 and the Tipo uses 1.1. Some people have problems running games on this phone. Most phones use Adreno 320+ this only uses Adreno 200. Also basic Android uses 820x480 this uses 320x480.

xperia j and xperia e have almost the same hardware specifications but my xperia j lags in playing games like temple run and subway surf even after changing the setting of gpu rendering, but xperia e plays them smooth, what could be done to speed up my device

I have read on other places that the Samsung Galaxy Y is a better phone for a Budget Android. I have not looked at it yet. Right now this phone is 149 USD on Sony website. It is great just for people who like SMALL phones and mostly use a phone which also has Jelly Bean 4.1 installed. The screen is not great since it is only 480x320 and not 820x480. It can play 720p video but due to screen quality it's not the best like a HTC 8x or Samsung model.

On stock android version,you won't be able to get good experience.I suggest you installing CM10.Useless preinstalled apps removed,root acces,fast responding+great modding possibility.

Yes, of course it is. You don't need an iPhone for what you want to do, and this one is much cheaper.

Because this guy uses a app named Advanced Task Killer or something, it's shut downs some unnecessary apps, and boosts the phone's performance. You can check it out this app if you want to speed up your phone.

Yes, i checked it out and runs Minecraft, with a little lag, because of the new version. The Older Version is perfectly runs on Sony Xperia E.
Sony uses a terrible screen which is very old tech. Its only 480x320, even cheap Samsung Windows Phone 8 phones uses 820x480. Sony should have used one of there OLED screens.
