Oh my God, Wiesbaden is my favourite city, I will never forget my Wiesbaden era. Thank you so much for the memories, Wiesbaden. I wish I would not have left you.
Being in the military, I was stationed in Wiesbaden for 7 years. Then a couple of years ago I had to leave back for United States. I absolutely loved Wiesbaden, so thanks for doing this video. I miss Wiesbaden and all of Germany. I had my own car but used public transportation as well. The bus, train and even bicycle. There were so many bike paths. The food and fests were awesome. The hotel you stayed in was just a block away from my apartment, the Paulaner resturant was my view from my window. Thanks again for posting the video.
Ontry Patten that’s nice you were stationed there, great place to live. I’ve been a few times and always can’t wait to go back. There’s not many videos about Wiesbaden so I wanted to make a nice video and get more people to visit.
Spent 5 years in Wiesbaden Late 70s Early 80s on a Army post called Camp Pieri. My wife is from Wiesbaden. That place will always hold a special place in my heart ♥. Nice video.
Wow cool, my step brother's wife and family are from there as well. I really like it there, been twice so far, will be back again probably next year. Thanks!
camp pieri I love the city. Just love it. I am fortunate to be able to go back every few years to visit my family and friends. So happy you posted a comment.
Love the architecture in Wiesbaden, and it looks like a peaceful town. Those pretzels look incredible, I love pretzels! All those yummy food is making me hungry
Great video about this German town of Wiesbaden which I have never heard before. Germany is the European country that I have visited the most and what I love about this country is amazing, one of a kind villages and small towns. Love the green statue of a walking guy. It looks so cool.
Thanks! Yes I love Germany's small villages, been to many also. That green guy is the walk sign guy one of the cities made on their walk/don't walk signals, so it became somewhat of a famous thing so they made a statue.
Great vid! I was stationed at Lindsey Air Station which was walking distance to downtown. I’m blown away by the Nerobergbahn, which I Googled to see if it was there when I was and I see it was built near the tail end of my stay. I used to run through downtown and up into the hills where the church with the gold domes are. I plan on making a return visit this year.
That's cool, glad you liked the video. I'm actually heading back to Wiesbaden in a couple days! So I'll have a short video this time, just there for a quick visit.
James Rudd hope to have it up within a couple months, got a lot of good stuff coming from the last month in the Czech Republic, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro
Todd Hata Several places I haven't been to yet. Avid traveler here. I grew up in Europe and traveled a lot then, and have spent my life traveling as much and as often as I can. Thanks for sharing. I love watching the experiences and adventures of others.
You are so lucky to experience Wiesbaden. It is a beautiful walkable town. I was in high school (HH Arnold) in the early 60s and lived with the Germans for the first few months I was there. From our flat in Hainerberg we could look across the valley as see the gold domes of the church in your video. A great side trip is Mainz across the river. Thanks for the post.
Andre Butts wow that’s great you got to live there for a while. It’s such a nice town with some excellent restaurants. Also some very nice cities nearby to visit. Thanks for watching!
I'll definitely be sharing this video with some friends because she and her husband just got stationed in Germany and wanna know all the ins and outs! You show how diverse Germany can be...and I when I visited..this is wasn't how I got a feel for it so I will definitely have to go back!
Meldrum's On The Move Germany is one of my favorite countries in Europe, I think I've been there more than any other country so far, at least in Europe.
Beautiful looking town! The steam coming out of the ground was neat! What was the sauce with the pork? Looked like cranberry? So much great looking food in this video. Nice one!
Cool, I'll see what I can find, it's been just over a year so I can't remember. Skip Paulaner, the place I had the bad currywurst. Gastof was excellent, I had the wienerschnitzel there, I think it must have been veal, it was so tender. Gollner's is where we had the private party, they should be open to the public, that was very good. I can't find the steakhouse, it was way far out of Wiesbaden, 45 minutes drive I think. i-punkt was excellent, I've been there both times I went to Wiesbaden, fancy and not cheap, but great food. Have fun!
The food in the bakery looked like it was all props! But, if there's two things Germany is great for it's food and beer! The rack of ribs was enormous!
how did you end up at the hotel? by taxi? interesting that it's hot springs underneath. the schnitzel looks pretty good. that old steakhouse with the swing grill looks cool.
Look Who's Blogging I walked from the train station, should have looked around the station more for taxis but I figured I'd find one nearby. But it seems they only wait in certain taxi areas around town.
There is a secret place close to a spa in the city center. Teens call it the spit-well because if you spit over it your spit floats mid air. Bet no tourist ever did that lmao.
Do not know Wiesbaden. The city center seem very nice and cute, not typical german. The food however looks so German.... I used to live there 6 months of all different kinds of sausages. You pictured it so well:)
I have some family there so there was a family event. But took some time to eat at some of the best restaurants in town and see a little of the city sights.
That old guy walking through your shot...😂 oh man no lift or uber? Really? The slow shots of the food is really nice 👍 cool details and the spring and the steam coming up.
Haha, thanks, I'm glad you like that old guy, thought that was funny so I put it in. Yeah, nothing but buses and taxis which i found out only wait in certain spots in the city. Thanks so much!
Cool video bro, i'm vlogging in amsterdam right now but i have a friend in wiesbaden I might go visit so this was a great video for me. I like your chill vibe too. I subscribed to you, check out my channel if you would like :) Mostly food travel and music :) ZinsWorld

I hope you can go someday, it is a very nice city!

Love the architecture in Wiesbaden, and it looks like a peaceful town. Those pretzels look incredible, I love pretzels! All those yummy food is making me hungry
Four Dirty Feet pretzels were so good, I'm on a low carb diet which went out the window on this trip!

Wiesbaden is actually the capitol of the state of Hessen. This is the same state Frankfurt is in.

I went to Lindsay Elementary and Wiesbaden Junior High.
Great video, Todd! Wiesbaden looks great. It looks pretty similar to Karlovy Vary of Czech Republic because of hot springs & its architecture. :)
Thanks! I'm working on a trip to the Czech Republic later this year, I'll have to check that out!

Germany looks beautiful. So much pretty architecture and history to see. Jealous

Chasing a Plate - Food and Travel Channel yeah it was like a cranberry sauce like at Thanksgiving. The food there was so good!
I am going to Wiesbaden soon and would love to know the list of restaurants you went to!? I have found a few but cannot find some others.

Travel in Twos that Austrian bakery was crazy, everything looked so good, and it was expensive! 3 euros for a tiny dessert, tasty but so sweet.
Not props. This is actually very typical of European bakeries. That's all real!
how did you end up at the hotel? by taxi? interesting that it's hot springs underneath. the schnitzel looks pretty good. that old steakhouse with the swing grill looks cool.

Served therein the military.Germany has the worst food on the planet. Not known for great cuisine

English food is worse, trust me :)
Gary, that's simply absurd.
