Excellent tutorial!!! Thank you! I've been looking for a pattern like this for ALONG time! I'm making a blanket so I will make 2 if these for either end. Also, I'm doing it over 40 stitches to make it wider. Thank you so much!!!
Piano Man! I am making - or trying to make - some version of a piano scarf. I abandoned one crochet pattern in favor of another but am considering a knitted version. I will give this a shot first. Your explanations of HOW to carry and weave in ends is most helpful, so will keep plugging away with what I'm doing now. Thank you, Beck!
Elizabeth Henson The repeat is 28 rows long, to see the full chart you can screenshot the video at 19:20 I did 7 total repeats but you can do as many as you like.
Hello! I am a new subscriber and love this pattern! I cannot find the link to the piano graph....am I missing something? Thank you so much! This is by far the best and easiest pattern to follow....and I have tried a BUNCH! :-)
The link to the graph is labeled as "checklist chart" in the video description! From there, look for a link on ravelry labeled "available for free," and it should bring you right to the graph! Thank you so much for your support!
Emmy RIP you can either use a smaller hook/yarn or just make sure your number of stitches is even and that the black keys stop halfway. I would recommend using the smaller hook and yarn though, because changing the stitch amount is going to make the ratio of the keyboard look a bit off. 🎹

I’ll be back! I just ordered my black and white yarns to crochet the piano scarf hope you stick around till I get it.
Woah this is amazing!!
I actually shouted at my computer, "I'm making that!!!" the second I saw this on Ravelry!!!

@@WhattheBeck Thank you! If this turns out…..it’ll be a gift to Ben Folds! Shhhh don’t tell! 🙂
Can this be elongated to make a large throw? I would assume the keys would be a bit longer and then add a solid color to make it about 60 inches?
If you mean you want to make a blanket, I'm not sure how I'd go about that! Go ahead and try experimenting though!
I love your video but I got confused on which way I read the chart.i am right handed.
What are you having trouble with ? I can see if I can explain it in a new way!
I want to make a smaller version of this. Can I reduce measurements or will it mess up the design?

Piano Man
;)
The black shouldn’t go down into the white
Robin Titus It’s supposed to look like the space between the keys!
