Interesting topic and opinion about the topic. I do not know that a witch can not be made. I think a person can choose to be a witch. Whether they were born a witch or not, I could not say, and I would never presume that someone who calls herself a witch really isn't one. I can only speak for myself. All I know for sure is that I was born a witch. There is not a doubt in my mind. I did not know this until I began practicing the craft and I found that I easily tapped into my inner witch, my witch blood. I felt it deep in my bones and I still do. I feel like I was a witch in every lifetime. It just comes so naturally for me. I was a christian for most of my life, but it didn't sit well with me. I never felt at home in my christianity. I feel so at home in my witchcraft and spiritual practice, like it is where I belong. Discovering I was a witch and using that label to describe myself out loud and publicly was so powerful. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this. New subscriber for sure!

Brilliant, something I’ve thought about often. I too believe that a Witch is born, but I know that it’s a debated point. It’s about connections with Nature and Spirit and like minded people who aren’t interested in listening to others and who feel a deeper understanding about the natural and spiritual worlds. Interestingly I think a true witch recognises another true witch because there’s a underlying sameness about them.
Thanks for sharing, I love your channel, in general, but, today, you hit the spot with me, and I thank you for that too. Blessings,❤.

I definitely think witches are born. Wether or not that path is followed and that talent cultivated is another thing. I agree with the correlations with shamanism as well. At the very least they can support each other. At best they can be one practice where the entire clan or community is benefited.

Wow, another thing in common 😹
I went to theatre school growing up, i was steeped in ballet 🩰 + jazz, contemporary dance + music, singing etc
Yeah, it was a time lol 😹
Im now in my 30s + trying to become a Mortician⚰️
I do feel I was born with the craft in me, i do think we all are + the times we were told as a child 'its just your imagination' or the beliefs of the times of our generations... We've definitely had alot of fear mongering put through us with that threat of the Angry Christian God!
I've felt connected to the craft since the age of 12 or 13, skipping school literally to read Witchcraft books in Waterstones 😹
The pull was strong i must say, thats my excuse haha that + my mother didn't like my interest.
But its definitely heritage, l feel it from my dads Persian side + my mother's Scottish/Italian side, its there, absolutely inherited from somewhere, my dads great granny was supposedly quite spiritual + did hexing and whatever she needed to do in the times she was in...regarding those Trad craft of her generation + her country.
I wish i had met her.
    🥀🤘🏼🖤

    Both.
A witch can be initiated, and power conferred onto them, by another practitioner, or by a spirit (a God, Goddess, or the “Devil”) Additionally, a witch can also reincarnate and be born a witch. So the answer is both, and that is documented both historically, with pacts etc, and is well-known.
And witchcraft is definitely not for everyone. In my coven, we have a saying--> many are called but few are chosen. Now, more than ever, I believe this ever so more.

The Mysteries emerge from many religious texts, should those who are wise choose to read ALL of them 😉

    Excellent video, George!
Your knowledge and passion for witchcraft is electric.
Completely agree that not all magical practices should be considered witchcraft nor should anyone that professes to employ magic be called a witch. I believe there is a depth of synchronicity with magic that those who are not witches are not able to reach. A person may be an excellent practitioner of magic but without the connection to the static wilderness of the otherworld, there will always be "a little something" missing from the equation.
Anyway, thanks for your videos! 🖤

Actually, yes. To both born or made. Remember that we have no dogma and no litanies.

Am I the only person who doesnt understand why this question is so prevalent? I dont really understand why it matters.
Just personally as someone who holds reverence for the concept of the mark of cain or witchblood (in a spiritual non corporeal sense) I think that many can hold that "weird blood" and not be a witch. Some are just not made out for being a proper witch. Living in that betwixt worlds way. It being your LIFE. Not all are made for that. In that way I think no one is born a witch. You must come up to the line, and cross it. Not all can.
I definitely appreciated your mentioning that people really overuse and misuse the word witchcraft. They dont understand how loaded and a venomous word its ought to be.
I also appreciate how you said all can practice witchcraft, not all can be a witch.
Everyone can pick up a stone, not everyone can be a mason.

Was born a witch & have been ordained since 1985 in SoCal, this is the first time I've heard so much judeo Christian "metaphors" mixed in with a discussion about witches & really should not have anything to do with paganism, so are you guys a branch of Christian witches.?. I have a Mexican friend who's a Catholic which a bruja/curandera is this something similar
