    Jalen’s improvement at the FT line cannot be praised enough, he’s made some BIG free throws. His career average is 80% and he’s at 88% this season. Jalen Green with a fair whistle is elite

    Alperen is fighting much more than last year at defence. And he is about 206cm which can be called as small for pos 5 . So i am ok with his stats. About Jalen, i am so happy for him. If Houston keep this young fellas ( Jalen , Alperen, Amen, Cam etc)together around 5 more years this team has so much potential for some rings

      And when we need to go full blown defensive switch everything lineup PG Amen. SG Jalen SF Cam. PF Tari. C Jabari.

      @pon372.
      I've seen this before as I've been watching basketball since the 80s.
      As an earlier poster said Al P used to dunk a lot more earlier in his career, even last season early in the year he was trying to dunk everything.
      Personally I think he is scared. Sometimes after a lower body injury (like the one he had last season) players aren't as aggressive with getting up and throwing it down as they used to be.
      I've seen this before with other players. Most notably a guy most of you have never heard of, Keith Van Horn. His rookie season this guy would try to dunk everything and dunk on everyone. On one high flying attempt he broke his leg. After that he was just like Al P, soft layups the rest of his career.
      Hopefully AL P can shake this off and start attacking the rim harder.

    Last season this team took off when Sengun went down. They wasted the whole season running the offense through someone who was more interested in making the all-star team than winning. Sengun plays selfish. And he is the only player on the team besides Lansdale that is not a real athlete. He won't jump or run the floor hard. He was able to just get by in Turkey playing against old slow men who can't jump either. Early in the game last night he tried to score over DeAndre. Deandre blocked his shot easily and Sengun got the ball again and tried it again. This time DeAndre swatted it out of the post. My point is Sengun did not even try to jump. Then a few minutes later he tried to score at the basket and did not elevate enough to get the ball over the front of the rim and blocked his own shot. Cam cleaned up that poor attempt with a rebound and a dunk. The thing is Sengun plays lazy. He won't try to jump most of the time. He knows he has no business trying to out physical his opponents. He only can resort to trickery. Udoka knows he is a liability and that's why his minutes are being cut. If you are not going to go all out you belong on the bench. Sengun is a product of hype and clueless fans. Can he get better? YES!!! But he is not interested in working hard. As I said he is lazy. Why am I slamming him? Because I can tell he follows this guys ramblings. And it's a case of the blind leading the blind. Improve your conditioning and improve your skills. There is no excuse for not having a jump shot.

That dude is a special player and is learning how to be great on both ends. Jalen same thing. Last year Jalen was somewhat of a Defensive liability same with Sengun and now they are playing at a much higher level defensively.
      Those two are both learning how to be two way players just like guess who? Amen Thompson who's offensive game is emerging slowly. People want everything right now and immediate but that's just not how it works, hats off to Udoka for developing these guys this quick as he has, his coaching from a developmental standpoint has been nothing short of outstanding, I mean the progress is insane. Second best in the west for the majority of the season when the orginal expectations were "play-in".
      This is like half the time it took okc to become what they are and we are currently nipping at there heels slightly, Ironically Okc is how the Rockets got Sengun.

    • @williamdavis9562
      @williamdavis9562 13 днів тому

      They don't really have the numbers or efficiency to make an allstar team.
      Also the allstar team is a popularity contest, the Rockets still aren't on the radar of most NBA fans (yet)
      Would be nice if one of them made it though, last season I thought AL P had a decent shot but didn't make it.

    The real question when Bari gets back, would the Rockets look better playing Bari at the 5, Amen at 4, Brooks at the 3, JG 2 Fred 1???? If we are running and gunning i dont see that being beneficial to Sengun, dude is really struggling with his efficiency.... I think and what i have always alluded to is, havng Sengun be the 6th man with JG off the court and run everything through Sengun for 20-25 minute stretches. But with JG having the ball, I think Bari is more suited at the 5 with Amen at the 4/1, with that lineup offense is not slipping and defesive will be lck down switch everything 1-5... Some of yall giving reasons to why Amen should start over BAri, well i can make those same arguments to why Bari should start over Sengun..

      @@ataberkkahraman35 Sengun is a good player, but because he lacks the ability to shoot, he is a high floor player. Its hard to build a team around a floor player. To win a championship a team needs to be bulilt around high ceiling guys.. Sengun also can be schemed out of games becuase he lacks versatility, if teams decide to take him out of a game by doubling him, then thats it, he wont be effective no where else... Also i dodnt say Sengun should not have a part, it just should his style of play shouldnt be the main dish. Its plenty of teams in the nba, that utilizes player like ALP in spurts but its not the team identity. Enes Kanter was damn good scorer in the paint, and was efficient too, but teams didnt build around that. he came off the bench and did his thing in spurts
