    I love the pure sportsmanship. Tom may have won but he made sure to drop back and encourage Brian to finish it. Nothing but pure respect!!

      yeah i've heard alot strongmen talk about how their fellow athletes are like brothers, that there is so much mutual respect. They all seem to be such awesome guys.

    Father Time is the undefeated Worlds Strongest Man. Brian Shaw is a close second. Glad I was able to watch all the years

      Well thats life. The years fly by when you're doing what you love and some 20 year old training to compete will be 40 in just 20 years, the blink of an eye. Not sure where it all goes. Enjoy it all while you can

      @@ronnieswindski825 I’ll hit 40 next year and I couldn’t agree with you more! The years have been flying by lately and I’m really trying to slow things down as much as I can and enjoy each moment to the fullest!

    He seems very aware and kinda overcautious of injury for his last WSM but either way Brian will be the Goat of WSM in my eyes

    So much respect for Brian. He would have been so gutted with how that worked out but he still shows the utmost sportsmanship and still waves to the crowd and shows respect to the fans. Such a class act.

    just a shame we dont have live coverage of this.
    WSM owners still live in the '90s.

    "You got it!!"
    "Oh. He doesn't got it." 😅
    Gutted for Brian, the fact that he rested the weight on his shoulders while he regrouped😮, he had that.

    Seems to me like Brian's technique was off. He was trying to push with one arm at a time while Tom was pushing with both, generating more power.

    The block used to stand the pole up stuck to the pole and then fell down. Brian stepped on it and lost his footing, bad day at the office :(

      They should run it back and give him a chance to do the fingers without things in the way

    • @BigDoener
      @BigDoener Рік тому +3

      That's not what cost him, it was lack of shoulder strength. He just couldnt get it up and push through as you saw. Nottingham to do with footing

      @Mike-ly7ev Рік тому

      If you don’t think stepping on something and supporting that much weight doesn’t effect your mental and physical strength cmon. But, I also think your right about his strength possibly failing him. But, the momentum did seem to change as he adjusted after stepping on whatever that was. Just wanted him to get the big W.

      Right, but who's gonna be the one to tell Brian Shaw while struggling on his last-ever Fingal's Fingers that he can't shoulder?

    • @phiten40
      @phiten40 Рік тому

      You aren't, however if an athlete can press it back to arm's length from the shoulder they can continue. Brian was attempting to do just that. Although I loved watching Pudz bulldog it with his shoulder every time
