Impressive how you stand there with the weight after you completed the rep, my brain always tells me to rerack as soon as I’m finished. Have you done any videos on your squat form and the ques you think of when squatting. Your form is 10/10!
Do you ever get elbow or arm pain while back squatting? I do while using high bar and I'm not sure how to overcome that. Right now I'm making great gains on SSB squat but I eventually want to go back to the back squat.
I’ve started doing some jump rope tempo again which I have done in the past several years ago. But, up until doing that again lately I’ve done zero calf work
@Gaurav Pancholi : well the biggest variable is genetic. the "supplements" you can decide to jump on but the genetic you can't improve then and someone like Damien has good one. You might squat for a lifetime and not achieve Damien"s level. That being said, I don't mean to undermine Damien's dedication, knowledge of the sport, efforts and all he did to accomplish what he achieves, was just poiting out that it is pretty "useless" to wonder how long it takes to get to someone level in sports when the individual you refer to is gifted. No one will ever ask how long does it take to play organ to become Bach, or how long you need to work on math to become Euler. Same thing apply in sports. Best regards
So I hear some say having a good squat carries over nicely to sprinting. Like for example this guy would be able to sprint really fast since his legs are so developed from squats. But I also realize with squats you push through your heels and with sprints you push through your toes. Can someone confirm whether or not squats drastically improve sprint speed?
From my experience it did not transfer over as much as you’d think. I feel like the best way to get better at sprinting is just to sprint more. And gym wise, working the posterior chain
As the dude above me said, squatting will give you general leg strength which does help with sprints but probably not much. Youd be better off focusing on doing sprints as your primary training and box squats, deadlift variations, direct posterior chains work and plyometrics to complement it.
@@Mori-ej9lr look into the hexbar deadlift. I have followed Marc Lobliner for years and he always says that that is the main exercise for speed. There is also some info online about it if you look it up. But you are welcome
If you’re interested in speed/sprint training, look into anything and everything from the late Charlie Francis. The stronger you are, the more force you can apply to the ground when running. That said, you obviously need to train sprints at full speed to reach your true potential - squatting alone clearly isn’t enough. But... a lot of sprinters have strong squats. For example, Ben Johnson could squat 600lbs @ 175lbs. When you combine that level of relative strength + proper speed training, you could explosive and fast athletes
I wanted to see how strong I could get without the use of any supportive equipment. It’s just personally much more enjoyable and satisfying for me to hit numbers without a belt and knee sleeves
At this point in my training career - and especially since I am emphasizing jumping in my new training program - I mostly just work up to a top single. Sometimes I may hit that same weight for 2-3 more singles but that is about it. The stronger you become, the more intensity has to be the driver of gains - not volume
Guy squats over 500lbs faster than most people can air squat 😳
Who? Your mom?
@Mick Slann
Thats jealousy for ya babyyy
@Mick Slann
Who is “r kid”
This guy was born to squat
You sir are a specimen of a man. Incredible.
I appreciate the kind words - thank you
So- we're just going to not point out how his quads are bigger than most heads?! 🤯
Wtf how can a quad be smaller than a head
what? all quads are bigger than heads, the fuck you on about.
hey chicken legs, how about using a human torso instead for a more relatable comparison
Don't blink. You'll miss it.

Honestly, I see this guy hitting 800 in the 93-100kg class, he has it in him
I’m literally learning how to squat from your videos, my depths improved greatly. You’re motivation man keep it up ✊🏾
Awesome
I wasn't gonna work out today until I saw that 👍
Thank you.
No problem! Kill it 👊
Unreal!!! I’m a beginner and my first PR a month ago was 215lb. To see someone hit over 500lb is 🤯. I had to fight 215, 500 would just squish me LOL!
Bro you are an absolute beast...insane strength. You were born for this shit
That was mad fast Lool. Rocket fuel legs 🔥🔥🔥
I see you do some ssb squats. Do they help carryover to your conventional squat or deadlift?
Do you ever get elbow or arm pain while back squatting? I do while using high bar and I'm not sure how to overcome that. Right now I'm making great gains on SSB squat but I eventually want to go back to the back squat.
Most of his videos have been beltless lifts with no straps, no equipment no nothing. Best true raw lifter ever!
Damien, what do you do for hamstring work?
Bro do you train calves? Serious question. You have some massive stuff going on there and we have never seen you do calf training

It's all from squat
@@chris9yearsago698 squats dont help with calfs. He's taking steroids, thats whats helping him

Damn that was clean! You should try the famous Clarence Kennedy workout 515 5x5 no belt, no knee sleeves. Would be great content!
Hes done 585 for 8 so that should be cake
I respect Clarence though pound for pound he is stronger
Wild!
Incredible. Do you have a squat form or mobility routine?
Please answer this in the form of a video!
He has one look it up on his channel

What shoes do you prefer for squats? Romaleos 3?
VS Athletics version 2

What is your height and weight?
what do you do for calves
I wonder how long it'll take to have quads like you. 😮😮Is this achievable naturally?
Heavy squats for a few years yes
It takes more than a few years to get damiens legs and leg strength it might take decades to get that jacked and strong

If it ain’t walked out of the rack face forward and walked back in backwards how do I know if it’s really Damien Pezzuti? I’m so confused.
To be honest, I haven’t done a lot of forward walking out since our gym changed it’s setup

There isn't alot of videos of ppl doing that. Idk how anyone can think this isn't spectacular. Juice or no Juice
Where can I get some lifting shoes ? Everywhere i look sold out
